3.0 Keg @ craft islington, typical imperial stout strong coffee and choc flavour with strong malty Caramel tones. Good.
3.8 Keg. Black with big brown head. Full bodied, roasted barley with an earthiness, some soy sauce, bitter finish. Decent but a bit one dimensional.
3.8 Keg at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell - Pizza Port Tap Takeover After Party, 22/04/13. Dark black with a thin tan head which clears to the edge. Good lacing ensues. Nose is roast malt, chocolate pudding, spice, molasses, aniseed, dark malts. Taste comprises dark roast malts, rich chocolate, spice, leather, touch of booze. Full bodied with fine carbonation with a touch of booze at the curtain call. Decent impy stout, good roasty flavours and the alcohol is well integrated.
4.2 On tap at Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out tons of dark chocolate, dark cocoa powder, and a little roasted malt. Flavour is rich, full of rich dark chocolate, some dark cocoa powder, and a touch of roast. Very rich and full-bodied, full of chocolate richness, while being nice and dry on the mouthfeel. Awesome stuff - very complex and enjoyable.

3.9 On tap 4 oz. sample at Pizza Port (Carlsbad). Opaque brown-black with a dark tan head and excellent lacing. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt and chocolate. Taste of chocolate, roasted malt, toast, coffee and bitter cocoa. Medium/full body and medium/low carbonation.
4.0 Tap sample. Poured a black color with a moderate to large frothy brown head that lasted and produced sticky layers excellent lacing. Medium to heavy roasted sweet chocolate malt, licorice, dark fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy complex dark sweet stout flavor with a heavy smooth dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Very well balanced complex stout. This is a standout beer.
4.1 On tap at PP Carlsbad. Beautiful midnight pour with a dense mocha head that left significant lacing. Slightly lighter than its BA version when held to light (surprising). Amazingly rich and unique base beer with all of the complementing qualities present. Godiva chocolate, Hershey syrup, and Nestlé Quik cocoa powder are there. Soakes up all that compliments it...whatever the brewer wants to add. Delicious on its own but benefits from other treatments!
4.2 Pours big and black as "night" with a huge brown head. Nose is coffee, chocolate, wood, , dark fruits, nuts and grass. A lot going on in the nose. The taste is a perfect balanced bittersweet with a slight coffee tart tinge that really gives the taste a unique dimension. Mouthfeel is crisp yet sticky, heavy body and a big long finish.
3.7 Draft at the brewpub. Pours black with tan head. Nose of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate. Taste is chocolate, coffee, fairly creamy mouthfeel.
4.3 03/11/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Nera, densa, impentrabile, schiuma color cappuccino, abbondante e incredibilmente persistente. Al naso sentori di malti tostati, caffé, leggero cacaco, liquirizia, note di pane bruciato. In bocca è prevalenetemente amara, con note di malti tostati, crosta di pane bruciato, caffé. Corpo medio-pieno, carbonazione corretta. Imperial stout magnifica, equilibrata in maniera mirabile.
3.5 On tap @CASK Pub Kitchen, London on 07/07/2012. Good taste, pleasant aroma. A decent, but not great type of stout.
4.0 thick black pour, half finger of creamy caramel head. Nose is big roasted chocolate and coffee. Thick mouthfeel, big roasted espresso taste. Quite fantastic, as is every variant of this beer that I’ve had.
4.3 Draught @ Sorbon, Bromma. Pitch black, opaque color, full sized brown head. Smell malts, dark malts, roastyness, slightly sweet, slightly alcohol. Taste malts, dark malts, roasted malts, hops, bitterness. Full body, med carbonation.
4.0 Keg at CPK, London. Pours oily, black-brown with a fine, beige cream head. Aroma is all kinds of dark cocoa, moderate roast, some alcohol. Nice flavor, robust but not overbearing, with lots of dusty roast and rich baking cocoa, light earth and dirt. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with more baking cocoa, faint dark fruits and earthy bitterness, touches of raisins and light booze. Very nice Impy Stout.

4.1 Draught. Black with a creamy light brown head. Aroma: freshly ground coffee beans, chocolate. Taste: milk chocolate, sweet licorice, light rubber, some coffee, citrus fruits. Alcohol is nowhere to be found. Finishes in a light grapefruit bitterness. Medium-bodied, smooth. Not very complex, this is all about balance, and just very tasty.

3.7 Keg at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Rich, boozy, roasty aroma. Tastes similar, rich, slight sweetness, some coffee and chocolate, roasty. Decent stout but doesnt compare to the beautiful coffee monster that I consumed before this.
3.5 Location: Guest tap at the Maui Brewpub, 7/6/12 Aroma: The aroma is coffee, chocolate, booze, and some burnt malts Appearance: This one has a dark brown pour, with a brown head, and average lace-work Flavor: The taste is heavy malts and booze, and is quite similar to nose component-wise Palate: The body is fairly full, it is heavy boozy, and it ends with a dry and hot finish Overall Impression: Interesting, boozy Impy. Stout. This was certainly a nice one to see on guest tap, since we don’t get much Pizza Port stuff on the East Coast, but their beers that I have tried are usually pretty enjoyable.
3.6 Some creamy cappucini head, black. Light coffee/cream nose . light bitter chocko. seems unevolved. Some body and lengthg. Soft with some fruit, bitter chocko and a bit simple. To young? Otherwise its a nice beer.

3.8 Sour & Bitter Festival CPH 2012. Black with a small, but lasting tan head. Roasted aroma with licorice, along with bready malty notes. Sweetish licorice and roasted malt flavour. Sweet and pretty intense dark experience, but with good balance
4.5 Tap @ S&B. Best Pizza Port beer of the evening, and one of the best American Imperial Stouts I’ve had to date. I didn’t take notes as I drank it, but this is a beer that I won’t forget until later this afternoon. The aroma was amazing and had lots of chocolate - dark bitter cocoa, chocolate ganache, muscovado sugar, some roasted bitterness and coffee notes. Sweet hints of vanilla, chocolate milk and dates. Small hints of citrusy and fruity hops in the back and just enough. Amazingly balanced, hugely complex. The taste was just as good as the aroma - huge sweetness and chocolate notes - dark bitter chocolate, roasted malts, silky smooth vanilla and caramel sweetness. Then a delicious balance of coffee bitterness and hops - nice bitterness and subtle notes of citrus and grapefruit. I was amazed at how balanced and well tasting this beer was - it really stood out on a night SO full of good beers. Top 3 non-barrel aged imperial stout for me - amazing beer!
4.1 Sour & Bitter 2012, Copenhagen. Black beer with a small beige head. Malty, licorice, chocolate, vanila aroma and a bit vinous. Chocolate, licorice and a bit hoppy flavour. A really nice beer :-)
