Pizza Port Ponto Session IPA

Pizza Port Ponto Session IPA

Named after the southernmost beach and surf break in Carlsbad, Ponto truly embodies the spirit of the southern California lifestyle. Refreshingly light in body and low in ABV, there is certainly no sacrifice in hop character with this sessionable IPA. With a hefty dose of American and New Zealand hops, this beer is bright and filled with hints of citrus, pine, and tropical fruit. Rumored to be a favorite among the disc-golf community, this beer is the perfect accompaniment to any outdoor activity. Hops: Crystal, Citra, Rakau, Motueka, Waimea, Southern Cross.

2.8 31.10.2014, 1 pint can sampled @ What's Brewing: 8-3-4-3-9 Small creamy shortlasting head, very light color. Aroma is fresh fruity, fresh hops, citrus, weeds, grain, hay, citrus peel, leafs, lawn, sugar. Taste is slightly dry floral, weeds, hay, flowers, paper, medicine, bark, light malts, fresh wood. Medium bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Nice aroma...
3.4 Can 0,50L. Hazy golden color with a finger of frothy white head. Piney aroma mets grapefruit and a lot of tropical fruits. Light to medium body with heavy bitter, hoppy taste (grapefruit). Cream texture in combination with lively carbonation makes it harder to drink, than I would expect it from session ipa.
3.6 Can 473ml at home. Canned 2018-03-05 . From Alko web shop. Pours cloudy light yellow, white head. Fresh tropical fruits, citrus, light grapefruit, malts, grass, fruity hops. Medium body, average carbonation, bitter finnish.
3.7 Pivo u limenci. Lagana grejp i herbalno hmeljna aroma. Okus isto takav , ali ne pre gorak. Tijelo je fino izbalansirano i solidne punoće za taj stil. Odlična Session IPA !
3.3 From can to pint glass. Pours a hazy, straw yellow with bright white head that stays around as a small cap can patterns cascade down the glass. Aroma is muted pine and straw with slight fruit. Flavor is a little more robust, especially for the alcohol level.
3.6 Piney grapefruity hop aroma Pours a hazy light golden color with frothy small white head Piney grapefruit hop flavor with bready malt. Well balanced Light bodied, frothy, medium co2, lingering bitterness. Enjoyable Session IPA. Tasty and easy to drink.
3.5 Good sessionable beer for a hot day. Very hoppy with a strong bitter finish. Light body and crisp.
3.3 Can @ Fish Shop on a trip to Encinitas, California to visit family. Good clean IPA
3.6 Sampled from tap at FDDB 2018. Almost clear, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity, slightly grassy aroma of pineapple, lemon peel and some passion fruit. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, rather fruity, slightly grassy and a little herbal taste of pineapple, lemon peel, passion fruit and some tea leaves, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly dry, moderately grassy finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!
3.8 Can from de Bierliefhebber, canned 01/31/17. Almost clear yellow color, medium rocky head. Bit tropical fruit, bit candy and cookie. Medium bitterness, candy sweetness, slight grainy note. Even after a year old, this is very decent stuff.
2.3 Helder geel. Te veel bitterhoppen en te weinig variatie. Eenzijdig bitter, uit balans en weinig aroma. Waar zijn de mouten? Alcoholgebrek weegt door. Niet direct voor herhaling vatbaar.
3.4 Canned, 473ml from Merton Beer Festival, cheers to Fin for sourcing this one. Clouded yellow straw with white head. There was quite a heavy carbonisation to this affecting the pour and the initial flavour. Sweetish hops to the fore, lightly done with CO2 tingle. Light on the palate, quite spritzy perhaps, some flowery, fruity notes. It's fine.
3.9 Can via Beer Gonzo for Merton Beer Festival consumed at home Sunday 25th February 2018 Pours hazy lemony gold with a white head. Wonderful hoppiness, nice bitter bite, this is citrus led session beer, lengthy dry finish, a little bit pithy. Like this, really good session IPA. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9
3.9 On tap. @3er Tiempo Tienda de Cervezas, Santander 16/02/2018 Color amarillo, espuma blanca aromas frutales y cítricos, sabor frutal lupulada, final amargo cerveza rica.
3.6 From tap at Brody's, Den Haag. Aroma is fruity grassy hops with zesty citrus, light tropical fruits and herbal hoppy tones. Flavour is nicely bitter. Body is light to medium. Certainly a nice fruity herbal-ish sessioner.
4.0 Big can from Good Spirits Co. Wine & Beer. Cloudy yellow, good head. Fruity grain aroma. Bitter cereal mango flavour. Honey lemon aftertaste. Definitely a high quality session IPA.
3.4 The aroma is full of hops, pine, grapefruit, dank berries and citrus. The color is light golden with a haze to it and the head is white and pillow-y. The taste is full of hops, pine, grapefruit, citrus and lime zest. Nice and bitter!
3.7 Tap @ Brody's. Blonde. Citric, even a bit bretty aroma. Dry, somewhat bretty flavor with citrus. Well hopped with herbal hops. tart notes. Nice.
3.8 A little thin in the finish like all session up as but otherwise excellent. Nice hop flavor profile and pretty good.
4.0 opalescent pale yellow colour, large, though not too stable white head; aroma of orange zest, grapefruit, pineapple and rotten tropical fruits (mango, mostly); taste has the same notes; very refreshing beer; would be a perfect choice for a hot summer evening
3.4 Can. A hazy yellow beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of hops, citrus fruits, and crisp malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, straw, citrus fruits, and malt, leading to a bitter finish. The body is light.
3.4 A very light pale golden color with a foamy, eggshell white head. Although it looks like any bland macro lager, the similarities end there. Really interesting spicy hop scent, as many Left Coast IPAs are all about Grapefruit Peel and Pine Tar, this is a refreshing change with some New Zealand hops that impart quite a unique aroma. Like a Cigar tobacco and a blend of Mediterranean herbs & spices. Crisp and refreshing with some mild sweetness up front quickly giving way to the spicy hops. This would be a great beer to pair with a thin crust pizza with loads of cheese and basil! Lingering bitterness makes you want to quickly take another sip. Nice!
3.7 Fat på Bishops, Örebro. Torr och fräsch session-IPA med mycket citrusvita och ljus grape. Stram med en fin, torr beska. Bra!
3.5 Honey, pineapple, pomello skin. Bitter but light in body, it’s a bit hard to drink because of the very bitter aftertaste that lingers for a long time and it’s not really the good kind of bitter. Decent.
3.1 Canned at Carnitas North Park, San Diego. Cloudy golden, white head. Some light hoppiness, grassy, some citrus, sweetish, some bitterness in finish. Light bodied. Maybe old, seems to happen often with this beer.
3.1 DØE medlemsmøde. Cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma of citrus and grass, with a touch of tropical fruit. Dry fruity and grassy flavour
3.7 Straw color with some haze with nice big white head. Nose of citrus and fresh cut hay. Flavor is grapefruit, pine, floral and biscuit. Nice texture and touch of bitterness on the finish.
3.9 White fruits, some onion, citrus (especially lemon and lime). Intense and long bitterness. Very pale color. Dry-style SIPA.
