3.9 Amber pour. Thin foam. Sweet hop barley flavor. Sweet palate. Easy carbonation
3.0 Strong banana and new plastic nose. Clear copper, thin head. Clove and eucalyptus. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation. Weird.
3.7 Some banana, light lime. Some florals. Pours murky brown with decent head. Nice and suave. Some peel. Can.
3.4 $4.20 pint can, WW. Golden-amber, clear, off-white head. Brown leaf, caramel malt, wheat, banana, sugar nose. Banana, wheat, brown leaf, cracker, yeast, dried flowers.
3.5 Hazy golden color with large off-white head. Aroma has yeast, wheat and some floral notes. Taste is malty sweet with long sweet aftertaste. Flavors of wheat, yeast, bread and fruity notes.
3.6 Pours clear chestnut with a two finger, light beige head. Aroma is roast, nuttiness and light dried fruit. Taste is plum and light candy sugar, moving to roast and light banana. Finish is the same. Good weizenbock.
3.7 Can at Fortnight in Providence, RI. Deep amber to light brown, touch of haze, medium-fine warm tan head (like on an espresso shot, except a tad bit more coarse.) Aroma is huge clove, some banana and metallic copper (in a not bad way), some malt caramel, medium-dark. Definitely caramelized bananas! Body is medium-light, watery, somewhat oily. moderate carbonation, medium-medium-big burn, coarseness is medium-big up front and medium-fine in the finish, velvety. Feels highly attenuated. Flavor is some copper and lake vegetation with a touch of light malt caramel - very clean and attenuated for the color and aroma. Some bread w/ crust. bit of clove and touch of banana - very light in flavor given the aroma. Overall - nice weizenbock!
3.5 Fizzy,orange,nice yeasty banana aroma,slight vinegar background,lightish
4.1 Nice intense fruity beginning. Lots of clove and yeast. very intense and deep, fantastic balanced and fruity. Full-bodied, rich in total, lots of clove and yeast in the aftertaste with a smooth Weizen sweetness. Fantastic.
3.3 Hazy deep orange, with a big enough but not as big as usual for the style head. Ok retention and some lacing. Aroma is a bit too subdued, with bubblegum and fruity notes of peach and banana taking the main stage, plus slight clove. Taste is brighter. Obviously sweet (averagely so per style), with hints of spiciness/clove and the slightest sourness to bring balance. Notes are bubblegum, banana, peach. Medium bodied with average carbonation, overall kind of lighter than usual for style and abv. A rather simple, highly drinkable, smooth interpretation of a weizenbock. Nice enough, but not very interesting to me.
3.5 Frothy white head stayed on a finely carbonated, cloudy dark orange coloured body. Orange, yeast & spice aroma - smells like a Tripel. Medium bodied, creamy to the fore with a tingle down the back. Wheat, banana, orange, yeast, spices, pepper & sweet citrus with a boozy tangy finish.
3.4 This is a backlog rating from 2011 from a bottle, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time. Words to describe this beer are wheat malts, banana, light spice, caramel, yeast.
3.6 Nice, bananey weizenbock with a rather full palate. Looks pretty with a hazy orange colour
3.4 Bottle yesterday. Was hazy, fullish bldied, substantial.. nice weissy ripe bananas, but malty.. not as peppery spicy as some, but hints still.
4.2 0.5 l bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. I guess you could call this imperial Hefe-Weizen. A bit heavier but still smooth and easy.
3.6 Aroma; sweet malts, clove, plum, banana, coriander, yeast, dough. Look; cloudy pale amber body, big off white head. Taste; sweet caramel, sweet malts, plums, dough, clove, banana, coriander, almond pudding and ends sweet n spiced. Feel; solid body, ok co². Overall; solid hefe. [btl fr Alko]
3.0 Orange golden. Aroma is stale wheat, a little cloth, some phenols, some old fruit. Taste is a little sweet fruit with stale (literally) dry stuff. Drinkable. Ok.
3.7 Bottle. Plank Heller Weizenbock. Amber, big golden cream. Dry clean fruity, grain, peach, banana, berry, almond. Medium body, dry creamy, cake cream, good fruit, great balance.
3.6 Bottle. Hazy deep golden color with white head. Aroma is dusty malts, cloves, wheat, phenolic. Taste is bananas, cloves, quite fruity and clean. Silky mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Nice one, although the aroma is a bit too dusty.
3.4 Golden naturtrüb, decent head disappearing fast. Spicy banana sweet aroma. Great clean fruity flavor, of course it's sweet & caramelly, an excellent Weizenbock.
3.1 Bottle.Hazy yellow colour With small head.Aroma of ripped bananas and citrus, nice fruity with hint of wheat and malt medium body and lively finish.
3.4 bottle bb23/10/19 oro velata buona schiuma abbastanza persistente fruttato leggera banana discreto fenolico discreta nota maltata
3.5 500ml Bottle - Hazy golden/light amber with a foamy head. Banana and hints of cloves in the aroma. Lemon meringue, banana and hints of apple all feature in the tangy taste. Slightly sharp in the finish yet rather interesting.
3.5 Bottle. Cloudy honey-dark yellow color, good white foam. Aroma: banana, phenol, lots of wheat, strawberries, light fruity sourness. Taste: high carbonation, banana, fruity, sour, wheat, strawberries, warming, yeast.
3.4 Bottle from Getränkefeinkost - clear golden color, white head. taste is mainly rather dry malty, body is not too strong. medium sweet. very round weizenbock, not too intense and very drinkable despite the abv. nice.
3.9 Bottle from Biervana, Munich. Hazy gold with soapy head, nice lacing. Ripe bananas, baked walnut bread aroma. Tasty malty and interesting baked apple pie and banana cream flavors. Not sure if it's the bottle but I'm also getting a little apple cider vinegar. Nobody else has mentioned it so perhaps this one is a little spoiled. Although the bb date was 3/2018... Still able to enjoy it and makes me want to drink more similar weizenbocks.
3.8 Honiggelbe Farbe...leicht gelblicher, dichter Schaum..Aromen von Hefe, Nelken, Banane und Weizen...Stilechte Alkoholnoten...bananig...rundes Erlebnis..500ml Flasche
3.5 Aroma is caramel, banana, wheat, malt, spice, clove, good. Appearance is amber golden, hazy, off white to light tan head. Taste is spice, caramel, wheat, banana, clove, eh. Mouthfeel is medium body, light crisp carbonation, caramel wheat spice aftertaste. Overall, it’s decent but not great.
3.6 Pours light brown cloudy colour with moussy long lasting white, almost off-white head. Aroma: bread, wheat grain-like malt charackter, banana esters, clove like phenols. Flavour just follows aroma with dry finish and enhanced by gentle alcohol presence. Medium to full body, fluffy texture, medium carbonation.
