3.7 A solid clean big beer. Nicely rounded at 8% well balanced, good ferment. oluthuone Helsinki
3.9 Many thanks to japppp. Deep sticky beginning. Intense caramelly roasted with hints of grain. Very dry, dark cherries over espresso and earthy dust. Fancinating dry malty, deep and rich.
3.7 Fles gedeelt met Inoven en Benzai. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een beige schuim. Het heeft een gebrande moutige geur. De smaak is gebrande mout en dropachtig en wat hoppig.
4.0 Bottle from Jussi in Euro Local Swap 1/2019, many thanks! Pretty fruity, light smokey (smoked plums), leathery. Nice.
3.6 Jet black with a creamy and very long-lasting tanned leather head. Aroma is ground coffee and lots of toast. Taste is really hoppy, almost like a really smoky black IPA. Quite bitter.
3.9 Bottle 330ml at home. From Alko. Pours black with beige head. Black beer with khaki head. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, licorice, fruity hops. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, bitter roasted finish. Original rating 7-4-8-3-15 from tap at Panimoravintola Plevna 2011-07-16.
3.6 Dark brown. The aroma is rich dense hoppiness, pine and weed. Very bitter, lots of chocolate, with a big woody, weedy hops. Dark bitter chocolate. Quite intense. Double black IPA.

3.7 Tasting at Erik's Black colour. Earthy malts aroma, old cheese. Lean body, light level of sweetness; moderate to strong roasted malts, with a hint of tobacco. Very good.
3.2 Dark roast, dark chocolate and some anise. Jet black with a decent beige head. Toast and dark roast with a dry finish. Long bitter finish.
Liten beskan Ganaska söt men inget dessertöl. Riktigt maffigt och mycket gott
4.0 33cl bottle. Thanks japppp! Deep black body with a thick and persistent beige head. Coffee aroma. Taste is quite bitter with notes of coffee and licorice. Slightly piney finish, but long coffeeish sensation lasts on the tongue. Medium body, soft carbonation, thin texture.
3.7 1/12/2018. Bottle from Nisse666 (cheers Thomas!) and shared at the 1st Kesgrave 50/50 bottle share. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and dark fruit. Medium sweetness and medoium plus bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, average to soft carbonation. Roasted bitterness and chocolate finish.
3.3 Bottle Thanks to Jappp. Black body with tan head. Aroma is malts caramel chocolate vanilla. Taste is dark roasted malts coffee. Aftertaste is nice bitter slightly balanced by some malty sweetness.
3.5 On tap at Black Door, pours black with a small light brown head. Nose is all roasted malt, with a touch of espresso and chalk. Flavour is along the same lines, with medium roasted malt, a touch of coffee, and slight chalkiness. Full-bodied and nicely designed, but not a world class imperial stout.

Taste: medium to full body, low to average carbonation, chocolate, licorice, citrus fruits, resinous. Quite bitter. Citrus fruits, chocolate, ash in long aftertaste. Quite interesting hybrid between imperial stout& black IPA. 7-5-7-4-14
3.8 Draught at Bruuveri, Helsinki. Pours an opaque black, with a moderate tan head. Tar, light brine, charry malt and herbs in the aroma. Mild herbal hops up front, leading into a thick body with notes of tar, licorice and sweet Turkish coffee. Drying roasty notes to finish. On the sweeter end of imperial stout. Enjoyable.
4.0 Hyvin tumma lasissa. Tuoksu on selvästi paahteinen. Maku on tiukka, potkaisee suoraan vatsaan. Paahdetta löytyy riittävästi. Loistava stout, ei kuitenkaan jokapäiväiseen käyttöön.
3.9 tap@plevna. Pours black with medium off beige head. Rich aroma has chocolate, roasted malts, caramel and nuts. Taste is smooth and malty with roasted and chocolate flavors. Finishes off with well balanced lingering bitterness. Very good.
3.5 Bottle. Pours black with a deep beige head. Aroma is raisin, dried fruit, soy sauce, some chocolate. Body is heavy, strongly bitter and rather sweet, with a discreet carbonation. Raisin again, burnt roast malts, some booze, glue. Long palate. Not bad, but not a beauty of an imperial stout either.
4.1 Tap@WilliamK bar, Helsinki. Black, creamy beige head. Aroma smoked meat, burned wood, liquorice. Taste largely follows - smoky sweet. Very smooth texture, rather full body.
3.9 Bottle shared at a tasting at Naama’s place. Thanks Ishmael for the most adventurous bottle delivery in history! Black. Chocolate, a little roasty and burnt aroma. Bitter and burnt and raw cocoa taste. Full body, smooth, burnt finish. Great!
4.0 RBESG 2017, sampled on July 23, 2017 @ Olutravintola Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Pours dark brown, beige film on top. Herbal hoppy nose. Body is thinner than I thought, with some extra hops it makes this heavy beer really easy to drink. Goes down quite smooth and little burnt bread coming out in the finish.
3.6 Black with tan head. Coffee and sweet dark malt on the nose. Taste is mild coffee, warming alcohol, mild sweet roasted malts, bitter.
4.0 Bottle 330 ml. Almost black, good coffee foam. Aroma: perfume-floral notes, caramel and burnt malt, prunes, chocolate and coffee, a little brandy. Taste: roasted malt and caramel, burnt malt (or barley), bitter chocolate, whiskey, warming, bitter finish.
3.8 330ml bottle from a bottleswap with rosenbergh, thanks a lot! Very fruity aroma, smells more like a BW with lots of sweet dates and figs scents. Taste is extremely roasty, monster of roastiness.
3.5 Bottle sample at a tasting at Naama’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Black ,tan head. Coffee, some dark fruits, ash, burnt, a bit of alcohol, rather dry, light umami, very bitter, medium to full-bodied.
3.5 0.33 l bottle from Alko Ojamo, Lohja. Appearance is black with tan head. Aroma has the usual dark chocolate. Taste is oily, greasy and with dark chocolate. Ending is bitter but not too roasted or hoppy. Quite balanced.
3.5 Bottle at home clear deep ruby tinged brown with a dense beige head, fruity licorice and molasses on nose. Zippy carbonation, full bodied, sweet and fruity barley sugar, slight bitter, quite sticky. Starts off well but becomes a bit sickly
