black color. Thin, tanned head. Roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruits, wood, and sherry in the aroma. Moderately sweet, warming. Very good evening sipper.
Surprisingly 6 kuud were enough to rid the initial beer, Pime Oo, of it's excessive sweetness. All the promised flavors are here but I also caught a hint of old leather - a welcome note in this stout's bouquet.
Fľaška 1z400piv. Vôňa cokoladova. Farba čierna. Chuť sladká cokoladovosladka.

Aroma of wood, hard roasted malts, coffee, very dark chocolate, booze (not sweet booze) dry well rounded complex but still easy to get to aroma.
flavor is a pretty perfect balance between roasted malts and great booze, and towards the end the flavor character changes a bit and gets both sweeter and more licorice like bitter. A really good treat.
After a few small sips the beer does come off as being a little bit too sweet for my preferences, the sweetness seems to be from both the sherry and the malts. Anyway, awesome imp barrel aged stout, that Oo really do super well when being barrelled.
Bottle. Black with a small tan head. Brooding aroma of heavy roast, dried fruit, chocolate, strong bread, almonds, singed sugars, oak. Silky, low carbonation. Very sweet with lots of of singed dark sugars and dried fruit - partly the PX I guess. Little hints of orange and pear peek out. Chocolate, lurking roast. Almost a pause before moderate bitterness. Gentle oak is drying and slightly peppery. No overt alcohol (would I have guessed much over 10% ABV?). A lot going for it but just _so_ sweet.

Poured oily and opaque black, very poor in foam. Powerful aromas of roasted malt, coffee-chocolate, vanilla, maple, dry fruits and wood. For a syrupy taste, very rich, roasted malt, dry fruits, prune, fig, coffee, chocolate-ganache, candied fruits, vanilla, maple-licorice-toffee-honey. Very spiced, peppery with greedy notes of Sherry PX and alcohol. Pimestav pime öö.

From bottle in snifter. Pours near black w/thin dark orangish tan head, aroma of roast malt, sherry & treacle. Rich taste, rolling sweetness w/a bit of spice (cinnamon?) in the finish.

Pitch black of course but very weak foam. Nose is dry wood. Tastes like imperial heaven and is sweet with roastet coffee notes, and after some time it rises sour cherry flavours. It is boozy and has an aftertaste of chocolate. Thick beer.
Bottle 33 cl. Almost black color. Aroma: very sweet, pies, dried fruits, sweet sherry, dark chocolate, prunes, a little smoked, bread with caramel and toasted crust. Very sweet taste, dried fruits, blue raisins, pies, prunes, sweet sherry, caramel, very good!
Bottle from Best of Beers. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, coffee, wood and sherry. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with lots of warming alcohol. Oily. 290421
Hi 330ml bottle at Battle of Bull, Cheras, Malaysia. Poured a completely black colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light caramel, light boozy alcohol, big red berry fruits. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet, with a smooth, rich, slightly oily, raisin, cherry, chocolate, light dry coffee, warm alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation. Superb. The body and sweetness did a great job of masking the alcohol. Would drink again, but perhaps not this evening 😫

A- Black color, black liquid, minimal brown head.
T- Licorice, sherry, oak, sweet, char, mild blueberries.
P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish.
O- A bit sweeter than I expected. Pretty complex from the sherry which imparts a lot of sweet and slightly tart dark fruits. I like it a lot but not quite in love with it.
Mørk sort øl, et par mm mørk beige skum, tyktflydende. Aroma er sødlig mørk malt. Smagen er meget sød mørk malt, virkelig fyldig/tyk, masser af sherry sødme i eftersmagen, noget fad. På mange måde en virkelig lækker stout, men alt alt for sød til mig.
Bottle. Black with a small but dense brown film of foam. Aroma: Dark sugar, caramel, vanilla, sherry and roasted malt. Taste: Definitely on the sweet side but not overly sweet. Some alcohol warming. Thick oily mouthfeel. Very nice!

Nalewa się nieprzejrzyście czrne, deliaktna ciemnobezowa piana szybko znika.
W zapachu mocno ciemna czekolada, wyraźne nuty sherry, wanilia, wiśnie, trochę taki liker wiśniowy.
W ustach gładziutkie, gęste, oleiste, nie czuć tych prawie 14%.
W smaku mocne wiśnie, sliwki, jest bardzo likerowo, z alkoholu jest tylko przyjemne rozgrzewanie. Ogólnie jest słodziutko w taki owocowy sposób, ale dochodzi do tego lekka taniczność.
Pyszne piwko, słodkie, winne (chociaż zero kwasowości), intensywne.
Fles 33cl thuis. Duidelijk sherry, haver, rogge, zoet, koffie, eik, vanille, vijg, donker fruit, oily, zacht, boozy, roasted malts, pure chocolade, lange nadronk. (2-2-2021).
Wow! Really hits the spot, I could easily drink this bottle again. Good sherry contribution, with base stout great support.

Sweet with low tartness and some spicy bitterness.
Flavour is more roasted and burned.

It is sweet, but sweetness is not supported by complexity, barrel, booze or something similar.
D'un noir parfois brun à jolie mousse persistant à quelques millimètres, cet Imperial a un parfum capiteux de chocolat noir, de fruits secs (y compris coco), de réglisse, un peu de cerise noire, du fumé et bien sûr du sherry. L'entrée en bouche est à la fois douce et pleine. Pleine de saveurs et de sensations : du chocolat, du bois, du fruit noir et du sec, du raisin, de la "molasse", du fumé, un peu de café "de temps en temps" et de la rondeur.
Une toute bonne Pohjala, savoureuse et équilibrée malgré des taux de sucre et d'alcool élevés. Top Tallinn!
24-12-20 // 330ml bottle. Damn. This is fantastic. Damn smooth. Dark malts. Sherry notes. Lovely.
Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium size brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet black chocolate notes with some light liquor notes is pleasant. Taste is a mix of sweet black cholate notes with light notes of Xeres and light roasted malt with a sweet finish. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation with light warming alcohol. Solid barrel-aged stout but I was expecting more form the Xeres barrels.
Flaska. Svart med ett medelstort brunt skum. Dofter av torkad frukt, mörk choklad, lakrits och trä. Smakinslag av karamell, torkad frukt, choklad, trä, alkohol och lakrits. Stor och fyllig kropp. Oljig munkänsla.
That's how stouts should be. Perfect ABV balance, sweet, creamy. Chocolate, syrup, wood. Dark brown colour with a good lacing frothy head. The bottle is great too.
Black with a minimal light brown head. Aroma of wooden barrels, dark fruits, licorice and chocolate. Sweet with a warm wooden barrels and dark fruit end. Nice!

Bottle 33cl shared by Dominique many thanks, a dark beer with brown head. Nose intense on dark chocolate and dark coffee. Taste is very sweet and even too sweet. Aroma nice on dark malt , licorice, espresso, nice body on malt cream. Alcohol is burning but except the sweetness it's drinkable
