4.1 Sampled @ Koelschtrinker Tasting. A very dark brown beer with a small beige head. Aroma of coconut, dark sweet malt, chocolate. Taste of intense strong roasted malt, coffee, coconut, some lactose, wood.
3.9 Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeerspezialist', best before November 2019. Clear, very dark reddish brown to black with an off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, licorice, vanilla and some coffee. Quite sweet, malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, licorice, coffee, vanilla and some oak, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, slightly earthy, slightly boozy and a bit woody finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!
3.1 Dunkler, leicht schokoladiger Antrunk. Cremig, Noten von Pudding, dunkel würzig, rund. Vollmundig, moderat würzig, lager Nachhall. Nett - könnte aber auch weniger Alkohol bei gleicer Aromatik haben. 10/9/10/9//10
3.7 Pirkts celle pudele. Pat?kama kupinats ale alus. Kremigs, sokoladigi, cukuraina, marsmelo garsa. Intensivs alus. Otru dzertu.
4.5 Aroma: Loads of bourbon, wood, dried fruits: figs, rasins, rather sweet. Appearance: Dark brown. No head. Taste: vanilla from bourbon barrel, oak tannin, dried fruits. Alcohol in aftertaste. Full body, low carbonation. Good balance between sweetness and bitterness. Excelent beer!
3.9 19th October 2017 Level 42 Bottleshare. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Airy palate, a little soft but with decent fine carbonation. Soft rich dark malts with excellent dark chocolate and ephemeral creamy sweetness. Modest bourbon - whiskey soaked fruits. Mild alcohol spice. Smooth finish. Comes together very well. Light but rich.
4.5 Fekete szín, némi vörössel a pohár szélénél. Alapvetően nincs habja. Kakaós, étcsokis aroma. Édeskés, kakaós, vaníliás, aszalt gyümölcsös, étcsokoládés íz. Testes, visszafogottan szénsavas. Pazar sör.
3.8 Bottle split at L42, thanks to Kenny, 19/10/17. Pitch black with a decent tan covering. Nose is chocolate, spice, roasted tones, barrel evident, toffee fudge. Taste comprises chocolate, grains, black peppery spice, light fruit rinds, mellow barrel edge, toffee, molasses, melted brown sugar. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a warming alcoholic rise. Solid sipper.
3.9 October 2017 - Bottle share at One Canada Square. Huge thanks! As 'Põhjala Cellar Series - Porridge Bullet', 11.9%. Black, opaque, foamy light brown head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is treacle, vanilla, oaky, cola. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is interesting – black treacle, bourbon, booze and vanilla, a little varnish harshness. Gets more flavourful over time. Nice stuff. (8-4-7-4-16=3.9)
4.1 Pours dark with minimal foam ring. Strong bourbon aroma. Ris accents - cacao, vanilla, coconut, coffee, caramel, roasty, wet wood. Semi sweet, little bitter. Medium body, Nice carbonation. Pohjala as always keeps the good level.
4.1 0,33l bottle. Pours dark brown with tanned head. Malt base, bourbon, toffee, vanilla. Bitter finish.
4.2 Realy nice brew. Super strong barrel notes (bourbon? or whiskey?) dark dried fruit, nice thick body and no carbonation. Awesome.
3.9 Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Kenny! Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose has a ton of dark fruits, berries, chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavour, with strong alcohol kick, more cocoa, light ash, jammy berries, raisins. Full bodied and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with some burnt toast, bittersweet cocoa, more ash and dried berried. Good bitterness to partially offset the sweetness. Very good overall.
3.8 Bouteille 33cl, BB 21/11/2019, batch# 344.
4.1 Bottle shared on Level 42 19/10/2017. Many thanks to Adrian Tipple for this one. A thick, black, mahogany brown coloured pour with a loose dirty tan head. Aroma is liquorice, toffee, earthy sweet roast, coconut, toasted malts, light strawberry. Flavour is composed of sweet brown sugars, coconut, marshamaloow, little chocolate, bounty bar. Palate is chewy, sweet, moderate carboantion. Nice stuff.

3.9 Bottle at level 42 thanks to Kenny. It pours oily darkest brown – black with a small tan head. The aroma is rich, sweet, oily, decadent, vanilla, bourbon, rich roasted malt, rocky road, chewy dried fruits, cookie dough and toffee crisp. The taste is rich roasted malt, oily, slick, chewy, warming alcohol, varnish, dried fruits, spice, oak, brandy, booze, molasses, leather, some rawness and chocolate brownie with a warming finish. Full body, fine carbonation and chewy mouth – feel. Rich and filthy. The aroma in particular is great.

4.0 33cl bottle, courtesy of Gyhallmanti. Appearance: black with low beige head. Aroma: bourbon, dark chocolate, molasses, butterscotch, vanilla, cinnamon. Taste: high sweetness and medium bitterness. Notes of roasted malts, molasses, bourbon, vanilla, dark chocolate. Palate: medium to full bodied, sticky texture and fairly soft carbonation. Good stuff!
4.0 33cl bottle split with SimonBlok. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, cinnamon, slight vanilla, wood. Taste is fairly sweet, moderate bitter with a moderate dry finish. Notes of hazelnuts, nutella, dark malt, roasted malt, chocolate, slight bourbon, slight coffee. Texture is oily, full bodied with soft carbonation
3.9 Bottle from Beer Ma before they jacked up their prices. It has a similar dark motor oil pour with a fizzier rusty looking head that vanished fast. Smooth full body. A roasty, slightly smoky soy savoury aroma featuring dark chocolate & bourbon. The taste is more complex than the Pime Imperial Stout with the 4 grains coming through with a chewy texture and more interesting flavor profile. I get bourbon, vanilla, a hit of coconut, oats, granola, a dab of smoke. Way more interesting and I feel if you blended the Pime with the Porridge Bullet you'd get something similar to Dark Lord. So if you're a fan of big dark beers, this one's for you.
4.2 Bottle from Maruho. Pours black with a low light tan head, nice slow-moving lacing. Whiskey, vanilla, wood aroma, ash, dark berries. Good grain-driven flavour, oats, vanilla, gentle warming whiskey sweetness, a touch of licorice. Really smooth feel, lowish carbonation, a slow ride over the palate, lingering choc and treacle notes with residual sweetness and warmth. After one too many big beers recently lessened by over-powering booze flavour from the barrel, this one shows how to blend it beautifully into the mix. Excellent.
3.8 Grains, toffee, caramel, vanilla - all the nice things are there but there is a minor itch and something doesnt quite fit. Overall its a decent beer, though and Ive enjoyed it a lot.
4.7 Big barrel aroma, vanilla, roasted dark malt. Taste: vanilla, caramel, roasted dark malts, nuts, chocolate, barrel, very smooth, only slightly warming alcohol. Palate: medium to full body and medium carbonation. Overall: what a great beer, smooth and complex, nice barrel notes, full of sweet bitter malt and vanilla.

4.2 Aroma: vanilla, barrel, roasted dark malts. Appearance: dark brown color and creamy head. Taste: vanilla, roasted dark malts, nuts, chocolate, barrel, very smooth, only slightly warming alcohol, semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation. Overall: what a great beer, smooth and complex, nice barrel notes, full of vanilla.
