Trübes Dunkelbraun mit relativ wenig Schaum. Malzig, süßlich, Roggen, getreidig, Backpflaumen, Rumtopf, Barrique, Whiskeynoten, ölig, sehr süffig.
Taster from bottle, courtesy of Werckmeister, many thanks! Pours a dark copper with a beige head. Aroma of sweetish malt - marzipan, toffee, honey, nuts, raisins and figs along with some woody notes, vanilla and whiskey. Thick and very creamy body with a medium sweetness, a light to medium bitterness and noticeable alcohol. The flavor is again full of sweet malt with nice whiskey barrel notes in the back - marzipan, sugar syrup, caramel, honey, raisins, dates, some spices, candied ginger, wood, vanilla and hints of whiskey. Finishes with a light bitterness, some residual sweetness, more woody notes and a lightly warming feeling. Very good with an excellent balance between the sweet malt and the barrel notes - very smooth.

Pours brown with white head. Aroma is smoky, whiskey, rye, bitter, some fruits, hay. Taste is bitter, caramel, fruits, smoke, toffee, rye, bread, some sweetness, whiskey. Very complex and nice beer!

BB 24.04.2020. black color, small coffee colored head. smells of whisky, some vanilla, dried fruits, molasses, light maple notes, earthy, marzipan, spices. lovely smell. full body, light carbonation, oily mouthfeel. tastes of dried fruits, raisins, light figs, vanilla, whisky, molasses, very light maple, nutty, marzipan, earthy. finishes lightly sweet with notes of vanilla, whisky and some dried fruits. lovely beer, just a tad on the sweet side but overall great and very smooth balance. lovely,
Barwa ciemno-miedziana, piana beżowa skromna.
Aromat średnio-intsnywny, karmel, suszone owoce, nuta drewna, po ogrzaniu wychodzi alkoholowa nuta whiskey.
W smaku gęste, oleiste i słodkie. Duzo suszonych owoców, karmelu i cukru kandyzowanego. Finisz alkoholowy z posmakiem whiskey. Po ogrzaniu ukazuja się przyjemn nuty wanilii i kokosa, ale alkohol też bardziej daje o sobie znać.

Si presenta marrone scuro, con poca schiuma beige che tende a svanire presto.
Al naso offre un'esplosione dolce, un aroma "pannoso" di zucchero caramellato, vaniglia, frutti scuri, uva passa e grano. Poi Whisky e, forse, mandorle. Sapore dolce, soprattutto caramello e vaniglia, e accenni di uva passa, con scarsamente intenso amaro finale etilico.
Molto corposa, liquorosa, caremellosa. Carbonazione medio-scarsa.
330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A fawn-coloured head reduced to a filmy layer, poor lacing, clear purple-ruby body. Appealing smell of grain, dark fruits and caramel. Solid taste character of vanilla caramel, bread, figs, raisin, and syrup. Prolonged, lingering ending with warmth from the alcohol. Full bodied. Much enjoyed slow sipper that gets rather sweet in the long run. Rye wine, indeed. (Tromsø, 14.06.2018).

Попробовав первый раз и сделав первый глаток, я был просто ошеломлен полнотой и гармонией вкуса. Поэтому не поленился и ставлю 5 этому произведению искуства. Единственный минус немного завышена цена за 0.33 700р.
Bottle. Pours dark brown, modest beige head. Malt, bread, caramel, barrel notes in aroma. Flavor is pretty sweet, dark fruits, plums, toffee, rye, some chocolate and warming booze. Very complex, rich and balanced, very good.

Unclear medium brown amber colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, caramel, rye, sweet malt, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, buzzy, bread, caramel, rye, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. Startet dezent, aber auch schon gut grainy. Duftet nach Erde, Brot & später nach Whiskey ;)...wie Kaschmir, im Vergleich zum hammerübersüßten, aber auch magisch highalkoholischen Wondertrunk. Wowwww!!! Soviel Roggen!!! Auf einmal ❤ !! Da hätte das Brett einige Jahre was zu futtern :)..Unglaublich wie sich das creamy Nussmonster sanft auf den mit karamelisierten Sauerteig überzogenen Gaumen legt. Dann ruht es erstmal, das Monster 🙂 laaaang & erfüllend gemüsig.. ..RYE+WHISKY=ZUCKERSCHOTENmadness!!???👍😍⚠ erstmal schnell...bevor ich ohnmächtig werde👽 0,33l Flasche. HOLY BEYOND IN HH!!!🙌 9€!? Attention, chaud devant ! Põhjala qui s'essaie au vin de seigle (Rye Wine), le tout mûri en fût de Whisky de seigle Américain, ça promet quelque chose d'assez unique ! Et c'est le cas... Versée rousse profonde pour un résultat splendide, avec un bordeaux/pourpre en transparence, petite mousse beige à bulles fines, ça part bien... Au nez, l'explosion des arômes... Caramel fin, miel de la meilleure ruche, fruits rouges (fraise en force, mûre, framboise sucrée, cassis), sureau, vanille du meilleur tonneau de flibustier, notes de rhum, de pruneaux à l'alcool, de candi, de mélasse, de réglisse léger, de frangipane, de praline, de nougat, de pain d'épice, de grenadine, de speculoos... Juste exceptionnel de gourmandise et de richesse, à la hauteur des très grands Barley Wine (on retrouve le côté capiteux d'une bonne Thomas Hardy's Ale de derrière les fagots). En bouche, la jouissance continue. Texture souple à l'envie, alcool surpuissant mais jamais en force, un corps plein et rond, amertume légère mais très tangible en fin de gorgée, des sucres mais des meilleurs avec aucun écœurement à l'horizon, des levures épaisses à souhait qui viennent arrondir le tout avec solennité. En rétro-olfaction, la vanille, le rhum arrangé, le pruneau, le pain d'épice ou encore la praline viennent nous envahir la cavité nasale. Il y a aussi un petit côté acidulé qui vient relever la carbonatation assez faible. L'amertume monte au fur et à mesure de la dégustation, c'est divinement bien amené et d'un équilibre parfait. Le breuvage évolue en bouche gorgée après gorgée, et quand les sucres ont bien fini d’anesthésier le palais, ce sont les esters et l'alcool qui reviennent à la charge. La longueur est bien entendu de mise, le final d'une douceur incomparable avec ce côté liquoreux/vineux digne d'un Jurançon ou d'un Sauterne. Le fût est rappelé avec des notes boisées, surtout en fin de bouche et qui viennent se marier avec l'amertume et les notes de noix fraiche très légèrement astringentes. C'est bien un vin que nous avons ici entre les mains, ni plus ni moins, et le fait de l'avoir brassé avec une majorité de seigle au lieu de l'orge est une très belle initiative. Une fois de plus, une bière d'exception de la part de nos Estoniens préférés. Une splendeur. Bouteille 33cl (cachetée à la cire), Boissons du Monde, Saint-Egrève.

Bottle. Aroma is caramelized sugar, some vanilla, grains. Taste is super sweet, quite alcoholic, mostly caramel, some raisins, almonds, rye bread.
Donkercaramel kleurig met fijne crèmekleurige schuimkraag. Dadels, pruimen, marsala, caramel, toffee, kandij, siroop. Vol en dik mondgevoel. Zoet, licht plakkerig. Tinteling op het tandvlees. Warme zoete afdronk met een mild bittertje. Maar nergens té, perfect in balans. Meesterwerkje.
Bottle. Bronze-amber color, thin, slightly creamy foam. Aroma: sweet, rye homemade bread, caramel, rye whiskey, vanilla, dried fruits and pastries, prunes. Sweet taste: caramel, dairy toffee, dried fruits, raisins, whiskey, a powerful, light sourness from rye, balanced.
Backlog. Sample at All In Beer Fest 2017. Brown with of white head. Sweet boozy with malt and oak vanilla.
33 cl bottle served in snifter. Poured dark amber with small off white head that disappeared immediately. Carbonation is almost non existent. Aroma: Rye, caramel, toffee, vanilla, orange Peel, dried fruit, candi sugar. Taste: Rye, toffee, caramel, vanilla, oak, marzipan, brown sugar, Graham crackers, raisins, dates, plums, dried fruit, cinnamon, milk chocolate, orange, bread, cereals. Chocolate notes are getting heavier when it gets more to room temperature. Syrupy mouthfeel. Alcohol very dangerously hidden. Very sweet. Full body with a long bittersweet finish. Amazing and delicious masterpiece...what an experience...
Bottle at Asahiya. Nose is rye spicy grains, whiskey, vanilla, citrus hops. Sweet and slightl tart, spicy rye, vanilla, oak. Big, rich, heavy. Nice but not in large quantities.
Draught at WFP, September 2017. Vanilla, coconut, nuts, pumpernikel, plums. Slightly warming. Finish with brown sugar, plums. Thick bodied. Reminiscent of port wine. Complex beer with a soft mouthfeel. Absolutely amazing.
33cl bottle from Sip, Tallinn. Pours clear mahogany coloured with a fairly short lived head. Malty and caramelly aroma with dried fruits, rye and alcohol at first. Whiskey and wooden notes comes after a while, but seems fairly mild. Sweet, somewhat boozy and rather malty and caramelly with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Too sweet and boozy for my taste, but certainly decent.
Hazy dark amber color with beige head. Aroma has toffee, caramel, some spicy rye and brown sugar. Taste is sweet and first, syrupy, sugary but gets more spicy and earthy with some wood bitterness on the finish. Medium plus body, syrupy, soft carbonation. Really well made and tasty with good barrel character.
Sporo owoców kandyzowanych, figi, rodzynki, sporo alkoholu niestety. Nuty żytnie. Z czasem alko troszkę ucieka. Sporo ciała, wykleja, sporo whisky w sumie. Dosyć słodko, jakieś migdały teraz też wyszły. Bardzo fajne piwo.
Z: whisky, sytuacji, figi, S: gęste, figowiec, daktyle, karmel/toffee, kwasek żytni, jakaś wiśnia. Lekkie alko z tyłu i kwasek zostaje. Fajne.
Aromat wyraźnie beczkowy, waniliowy. Następnie chleb, karmel, figi, alko. Barwa i piana bez zarzutu. W smaku bardziej wytrawne, ziemiste, estrowe, alkoholowe.
Sötétbarna szín, habja maximum a pohár szélén. Édeskés vaníliás, rozsos, whiskey-s aroma. Édeskés, rozsos, whiskey-s ízvilág. Az alkohol jól el van rejtve, épp csak érződik. Pazar.

Clear dark purple to red brown beer, big creamy beige to yellow head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: yes, lovely smell, caramel, malty, sweet, lots of dried fruits, some vanilla, chocolate touch. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very sweet, lots of chocolate, sugary, some vanilla, alcohol, dried fruits. Aftertaste: alcohol, roasted touch, sweet malts, vanilla, lovely stuff!
Dark brown hazy pour without any head. Huge aroma of rye, vinous, boozy, toffee, caramel, butterscotch, chocolate milkshake, dried fruits like figs, plums and raisins. Full on sweet with medium bitters. Full sticky mouthfeel with very soft carbonation. I have no words, you guys are my heroes!!!!!
Pours a very dark amber with a moderate tan head. Aromas of caramel, figs, dates, muscovado sugar, marinated fruit, rye bread, barrel character. Taste is caramel and marinated fruit with a deep malt character umderscored by barre notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Quite good.
