4.0Black coloured, no head at all, full-bodied, sweetish, malty, hint of Fisherman's Friend, bready, ryeish, spicy
3.7330ml bottle. Heavy with rye malts, caramel, stingy toffee and syrup, some warming alcohol and licorice. Interesting.
4.0Bottle, 330 ml, courtesy of Tomica. Shared with him and Max. Brown with tan head. Caramel, malty, some dried fruit, medium bodied. Low carbonation. Medium bodied. Some alcohol in finish.
4.0Smell of raisins, oak. Red/brown colour, light brown head. Aroma of oak, rum, tar, alcohol. Bitter and sweet. Slick texture, heavy body.
2.8Pours dark, thick and heavy. First taste is good, but turns too bitter for me. Great start, not so great finish. Very well crafted beer, just too hoppy at tne end.

3.90,33l bottle shared with wiosna @ home. Pours clear deep amber with a low head. Aroma is sweet malts with some caramel. Flavor is sweet malts, caramel, nuts, alcohol, hops. Tasty.
3.8Dark reddish brown color with off-white head. Aroma has caramel, malt, fruits and wood. Taste is malty sweet with long sweet aftertaste. Flavors of caramel, dark fruits, malt, wood, sweet ripe fruits.
3.6Mahonkisen ruskea lasissa. Tuoksu on vahva, tumman hedelmäinen ja alkoholisen karkea. Maussa on maltaisuutta, lakritsia ja tiettyä hedelmäisyyttä. Alkoholi puskee läpi ehkä liiaksi, mutta muuten erittäin hyvä BW.
3.6Bottle 330ml at home. BBE 2021-12-19. Batch 807. Dark brown beer with thin beige head. Dark malts, dried fruits, roastiness, caramel, alcohol, rye bread, burnt sugar. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, bitter malty finish.
3.7Mahogany brown colour with beige head on top. Aroma has caramel malts, toffee fudge, roasted notes, touch of alcohol sting. Taste is sweet with caramel toffee, roasted note and earthy flavour. Warming alcohol in the end, not much bitterness. Full body and lowish carbonation. Lacks some complexity and character.
4.033 cl, bottled. BB 19.12.21 #807. Pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma: Malt, rye. Grains. Strawberries. Taste: Medium sweet, mild bitterness. Slight tone of acidity in taste. Soft taste. Palate: Full body. Soft feel. Nice.
3.7Deep brown color with minimal beige head. Aroma of strong malts, dark fruits, tobacco. Taste has strong malts, dried fruits, caramel. Full mouthfeel, average carbonation. Overall nice and slow sipper barley wine
4.0Pullo @ Alko. Kaatuu snifteriin ruskeana, noin sormen paksuisella pysyvällä vaahdolla.
3.2(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 807 - BB 19.12.2021, probably 2018 vintage, from Alko, 20190209) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had banana, malts, caramel and alcohol. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, banana, grass, sweetness, toasted malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, boozy, harsh and bitter. A too sweet and harsh brew but probably will improve with age.
3.5bottle, alko. not sure this is a new entry, but ... dark brown. malty, old leathery, dark cakey sweetness on nose. full bodied, sweetness, sweet malts, malt bready, old pines, well bittered. bit muddy earthy, kinda can see connection to pohjalas impys .. the muddled malty ... nice. roasted almondy finish. intense. bit boozy.

3.8Bottle from Alko. Pours dark red color. Aroma of heavy sweetness, rich maltiness, toffee, caramel, alcohol, wood, dried fruits and bread. Taste is mostly sweet and malty, alcohol burns a bit, some fruitiness in there as well. Quite rich and well done, heavy barley wine. Really enjoyable.
3.7A dark brown beer, a head is quite small and yellowish beige. Aroma has strong maltyness, caramel, dried fruitness with apricot, marmelade, feels quite sweet. Taste has caramel malts, dried fruitness, low breadyness, some dry woodness, not sweet even the aroma was indicating that. Full bodied. Maybe this would be more complicated, but tasteful beer anyway.
3.7Bottle from Alko. Dark color, beige head. Bitter taste with dried fruits, malts, licorice, dark fruits, a bit of alcohol and nuts. Bitter finish with dried fruits, licorice, dark fruits, nuts, bread and a bit of alcohol. Very nice barley wine.

Bottle@Artturi, Tampere, Finland. Medium aroma with cherry, some red berries and alcohol. Dark red/maghony color with no head. Averagely hazy liquid. Strong, averagely balanced taste with sweet, dark fruits, plum and cherry. Some vanilla and sweet malts on background. Wide taste spectrum and long aftertaste with sweet malts. Strong body with medium carbonation. Overall, bit messy but with great sweetish nuances.
3.4At Fermentoren, pours black with a beige head, aroma of toffee, wood, flavor of chocolate, toffee, wood, alcohol, medium bodied
4.1Donkerrood met bruine schijn. Fijne parelende off-white schuimkraag. Rood fruit, mout, gelei, hint van caramel. Milde bitter in de afdronk, warmend en beetje plakkerig. Mooie barley-wine.
4.0From notes. Enjoyed at the 5th Annual Barleywine Tasting at Travis and Nicole’s house on February 03. 330 mL bottle. The pour is a nice darker ruby brown with a thicker off white head that falls down to a thin collar with a couple spots of lace left in wake. The aroma is pretty solid. There is a lot of sweet caramel and molasses with a nice grainy maltiness on the finish. It’s pretty solid, and lightly scorched. The flavor carries the heavy caramel and a growing booziness to it that isn’t overly present on the nose. The caramel and molasses work well with a slight dark fruit and the malts on the finish. The mouth feel is a solid medium body with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly sweet maltiness that just gets a hint boozy and grainy on the back end. Solid brew. 8 4 8 4 16
4.0@ Billie's Beer Cafetaria
Taste is vinous and a tad sweet. Taste is very malty. Not the typical sweet barley wine, and I think that is why i'm intrigued. Not very boozy. Palate is velvety.
3.9Bouteille 33cl, BB 19/9/2019, batch#304.
3.821Dec2017 Caramel, sweet grain and bread malts, dark molasses, straw, burnt sugar. Hazy brown, small, creamy, beige head. Heavy sweet. More sweet grain and cereal malts, brioche, dark molasses, caramel, some burnt, sweet brioche, straw, hay, soft carbonation, full bodied, some grainy, straw bitterness in the finish. Nice Barley Wine, nothing incredibly complex, but decent. Bottle from Oellepood Pothouse, Tallinn.
3.7Ja, deze vind ik wel heel erg lekker! Neus al vol voor de eerste slok; de smaak combineert een goede port met een heerlijk bier. Genieten.
3.7330ml bottle, cellar aged. Pours clear brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is nutty, bit boozy, raisiny. Taste is burnt caramelly, raisiny, nutty, bitterish. Medium + bodied, average carbo. Still bit boozy, but well aged. Well balanced and nice. Very potential for long ageing.
3.733cl bottle at home. Appearance: hazy brown with medium, off-white head. Aroma: caramel, grains, toast, plums, peach, some yeast and a trace of salmiak and spice. Taste: high sweetness and high bitterness. Notes of caramel, sweet malts, raisins, plums and some sweet spices. The finish is sweet. Alcohol is pretty well hidden. Palate: full bodied, sticky texture and fairly soft carbonation.
