3.7 A strong smell of soy sauce, coffee and malt. A small beige creamy head with a normal duration, the body is black. A strong taste of malt, some soy sauce, coffee. The body is rather heavy, oily and creamy with a soft carbonation.
4.0 Boozy chocolate
3.9 Bottle. Pours black with a bubbly brown head that dissipates quickly and nearly completely. Aroma has a good amount of roast with growing bitter chocolate and dark grains backing. Flavor has lots of dark chocolate and roast with a bitter dark grain backbone.
4.1 Very dark with small head. Nose caramel and some malts and molasses. Taste is rich, sweet and also molasses. Palate cocoa and coconut with sweetnes.
4.0 Dark chocolate and dark fruits aroma. Dark fruits, toffee, alcohol, and chocolate taste.
3.7 Jet black with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolate malt. Flavour of warm boozy chocolate, spiced fruit, bitter background, light smoky notes in a sharp bitter chocolate finish.
4.2 Draft at Monks. Very dark brown pour with soft khaki foam. No lace. Dense oily texture. Deep, rich, and complex. Espresso. Dark chocolate toffee caramels. Burnt hazelnuts. Vinyl record. Leather jacket. Cigar burns. Darkly sweet but plenty of bittering hops for balance. High ABV well maintained. Smooth glassy finish. Well done.
3.8 (bottle 0,33l from JBM (Brno)) Overall: Very nice. Strong chocolate and alcohol. Aroma: Molasses, alcohol, spicy, chocolate. Appearance: Deep black. Minimal, brown head. Taste: Medium sweet, alcohol, chocolate, spicy, light roasty, light sourish dark malts, light dried fruits. Palate: Medium-full body. Oily texture. Warm, spicy, light astringent finish.
4.1 bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma color cappuccino fine persistente, colore marrone intenso / nero, al naso è intensa subito tanto frutti di bosco poi caffè caramello vaniglia liquirizia erbe balsamiche, in bocca è cremosa vellutata caffè caramello cioccolato al latte liquirizia amaro (liquore), corpo strutturato, leggero acidula, alcool ???, carbonazione piatta, oily, dolce con amaro moderato. Equilibrio perfetto complessa, non stucchevole, uno spettacolo. Põhjala sempre uno dei TOP. c. Cantina della Birra 14.01.22
4.5 0.33l bottle. Thick pitch black colour with immediately disappearing brown head. Aroma: Roasted tones, leathery notes with a hint of blasamic vinegar, almond. Taste: Thick, gently sweet malty start with herbal tones and a hoppy, bitter mouthfeel. With some time it shows a bacon-like, smokey tone. The alcohol is very well hidden. Has a thick oily texture. Full body with soft carbonation. Long lasting gently bitter and herbal finish. Great!
4.3 Bottle. Rich roasted aroma with chocolate ice cream, nuts, chiles, caramel, coffee. Rich and roasted, bitter chocolate and coffee ice cream taste. Very full bodied and creamy.
3.6 Bottle, small bubbly head, extremely dark brown colour, aroma of toastiness, barnyard, oakiness, flavor of prunes, chocolate cake, hint of ash, quite sweet but not cloying and quite smooth and not too heavy. Very nice and interesting.
3.8 Bottle share with Alex Eastwood in Winter Park, FL. Aroma is dark chocolate, boozy chocolate dessert, coffee, vanilla extract. Taste is boozy chocolate, a little thin and alcohol-y and less complex compared to the other beers here (albeit Best in Class stouts). This seems like a case where the base beer benefits from aging as I preferred some of the Cellar Series versions of this beer.
4.1 Black pour, thin mocha head. Nose is coffee and roasted grain. Middle is blackened malt, dark roast coffee, cherries, hints of coco, charred wood. Finish is rummy chocolate and dark malt. Delicious.
4.2 Found out of bottle from Srodek in Bielsko-Biala, Poland. Pours a dark cola black with off-tan foam. Epitome of standard in terms of the aroma. Very enjoyable flavor. Slightly sweet and syrupy but a great winter day option.
3.9 Bonne stout, à peine forte en alcool. Sinon Tout les bon arôme d’une stout
3.9 En överraskning. Väldigt god zipp-öl. Tjock, söt, choklad
3.3 Tömören tömör. Keserű csokoládé a köbön gejl testbe oltva.
4.1 330ml from a local beer shop @Albano Laziale, drinking 16/10/2021 BB 28/05/2023 Pours a quite dark brown body with a thin brown head and little lacing. Aroma is quite intense of malt, chocolate, caramel and toffee. Taste is sweet and warm with notes of sweet chocolate and cocoa, roasted malts, caramel, toffee, nuts and plums, raisins, bit woody - really pleasant and never too bitter with a good 10.5% abv. Very soft, warm, easy to enjoy and alcohol well hidden. Medium to full body with viscous oily texture and soft carbonation. Round, full, sweet, tasty - really delicious! Could drink so much more of this, lovely.
3.8 Pours brown, almost black, nice but quickly dissipating tan head. Nose is roasted, malts, raisin, tobacco. Big flavors of wood, char, a little fudge, lingering ripened fruit. More woody than expected for the style. Great beer though.
4.0 Dark brown color. Nice, beige head. Dark chocolate and coffee in the aroma.Balanced roasted bitterness on top of a malty base. Nothing sticks out, perfectly rounded porter.
3.9 dark brown pour, settles pitch dark even in a small ratings glass. smooth brown head. aroma is chocolate, toffee, caramel, roasted malts. flavor is toffee, dark chocolate, salt, roasted malts, licorice. the dark chocolate and toffee is very much there, but just below the level where i find it too much. also rasins in there. I have tasted quite a few of the deriatives of Oo , various barrelled things, but finally i get to taste the original. it's good.
3.8 From a 330ml bottle on 21/9/2021. Pours deep brown with little in the way of head. Smells of caramel and chocolate with hints of dried fruit. Rinse and repeat in the taste, along with some plummy notes. Rich and a touch boozy. The plate is viscous, the carbonation moderate. A satisfying Baltic sipper.

4.9 Öö looks like an adult owl sitting beside a baby owl - but that's the only thing that is (mildly) funny about that beer. It's a masterpiece. The first in three I plan to taste - the next is Xo Cognac barrel aged and Pime Öö then. All the good things about the basic Öö are already said, no need to repeat - the taste confirms it's status beyond any doubt.
3.4 Refrigerated 11.2 oz. brown bottle poured into a glass. Black with small beige head. Aroma is cocoa, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste cocoa, coffee, and ash.
4.2 33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Plus, Culemborg. Black with a beige head. Coffee and chocolate aroma. Sweet taste with a rounded bitter finish. Thick bodied and smooth, with alcohol very well hidden. Superb porter.
4.2 Lundi 9 août 2021. Bouteille 33cL. 10.5%. Achat ("V and B", Bressuire (79), FR).
