4.0 Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Jeavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice.
4.1 Fully herbal taste, cardamom, some vanilla, coconut is pretty weak in there, chocolate. Jet black color with minimal sized dark brown head. Cardamom and chocolate in taste, some cinnamon, vanilla, spices, mild coconut, medium cocoa. Medium to full body, soft to average carbonation. Pretty nice. //bottle from Pivoteka
4.0 From the beernotes: Põhjala style baltic porter. Some extra choco, vanilla and indeed cardamom. Gently spicy.
7,8/10 181103
3.3 Oily black beer with a short brown head, quickly disapeared. Of course the coconut widely takes part in the aroma, its powerful fragance takes precedence over roasted notes, coffee-dark choc and cardamom. To the taste, the sweetness is appropriate with a nice roasted, coffee and vanilla, especially the coconut. It's heavy of malt, sweetness and texture almost lactose. Difficult to finish the bottle without disgust but culinary possibilities, why not !
4.1 Butelka 0,33 litra, zakupiona w Bierland - Kraina 1000 Piw. Barwa kruczo czarna, nieprzejrzysta. Ciemno-beżowa piana, o sporej trwałości. W aromacie pojawia się czekolada i ciutka kawy. Dalej wyraźny kokos i wanilia. Wysycenie średnie do wysokiego.
3.7 Piana dosc trwala, jasnobezowa. Calosc dosc slodka, pelna, kremowa w odczuciu. Bardzo dobre.
4.0 330ml bottle @ home. Thanks remsad. Best before date of 11/27/18, so a touch beyond that. Pours an opaque black with a small brown head. Nose is predominantly cardamon with hints of licorice. Flavour is roasted caramel, cardamom, with a mild nutty character. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, and a moderate sweetness. Wow, this is smooth and rich. Delicious!
4.0 Bottle - Cardamom and chocolate. Jet brown with a decent light brown head. Toff, cardamom, nutty and and a slick finish. Superb.
3.4 330 ml bottle at Silja Line. Black with tan head. Vanilla and huge coconut notes. Dark mellow malts in the background, dark chocolate and roasted notes with a suiting alcohol burn in the finish
3.5 Bottle from Mr. Hop. Pitch black colour, dark brown foam. Nose of roated malts, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, spices. Taste is roasty bitter with sweet vanilla and coconut hints. Very well made but not really my taste.
3.7 Minimal dark brown head soon left a small collar on an oily near black body. Big boozy aroma of caramel, dark fruits, demerara, malt & dark berries. Medium to full bodied, tingly on the palate & super smooth on the back with an oily feel. Strangely there's mint to the fore followed by, vanilla, heavy malt, demerara, dark berry, dark spirits, hints of roast & cardamon with a strong vanilla & mint aftertaste.
3.6 17/20 incredible chocolate and coconut porter, very smooth, huge aftertaste, really complex and tasty beer
3.6 22nd September 2017 Borefts IX. Day 1. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a little dark malt cream and dark chocolate. Good tangy dark fruits. Nice enough. 2nd December 2018 Smooth dark chocolate malts. Light smooth cinnamon. Nice dark fruits, well integrated spices.
4.3 Oh my god. It looks like an old motor oil and it has a character. The beer is making a rather pleasant sound in the glass, I mean the bubbles are singing in the glass so loudly that it is impossible not to notice it. This is a proper drink I say.
3.6 Refrigerated 33 cL brown bottle poured into a snifter. Aroma is cardamom, medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is cardamom, coconut, dark malt, and some vanilla.
3.9 Bottle. Petroleum black pour. Dense tan head. Aroma: rich malts, toast, coconut, spices. Medium body. Taste: moderately sweet, roasty, caramel, toast, coconut, cardamom. Light bitterness.
4.0 0.33l bottle. Pours black with a tan head dissipating almost instantly. Aroma of coconut, vanilla, chocolate, some spice. Taste is sweet, coconut, vanilla, chocolate, some spiciness coming from the cardamom but it's not strong, roast malt bitterness. Full bodied, smooth, creamy, fine carbonation.
4.0 W aromacie sporo bounty, duzo mlecznej czekolady, wanilia, kardamon, palone wiorki kokosowe; sporo slodyczy, intensywnie i bardzo "smacznie". W tle nuty ziolowe. Stosunkowo spora palonosc, goryczka srednia. Generalnie jest dosyc slodko. Mam wrazenie, jakby troszeczke ciala mimo wszystko brakowalo. Lekkie skojarzenia z mocniejszymi milk stoutami i palonoscia imperialnych stoutow. Dosyc wysokie wysycenie. Malo porterowy porter, ze znakomitym aromatem i dobrym smakiem.
3.9 W zapachu prażone wiórki kokosowe, wanilia, mleczna czekolada, nuta porto. Piana gęsta i ciemna jak sam płyn. W smaku czekolada deserowa, lekki kawowy kwasek, wanilia, która nadaje lekkości i gładkości. Powiedziałabym, że to raczej blend milkstouta z barleywinem. Mało portera w porterze, choć piwo w pełni prezentuje swoje atuty smakowe.
3.6 From the bottle. Virtually black with a thin beige crown. Aroma of vanilla and coconut. Taste is bittersweet to sweet up front, slightly more sweet at the finish which is full of coconut and vanilla. Body is medium, quite oily, carbonation is soft. Nice but nothing exceptional.
3.9 Black, tiny tan head. Rich, malty aroma, coconut and vanilla. Sweetish flavour, sweet licorice, coconut, vanilla and dried fruit. Has a mild port-like warmth to it.
4.2 Intensely thick porter. Very sweet, mostly chocolate with hints of coconut and vanilla. Spicy finish. Dark as night. Tried at Barchen in 2018 during Mode Shift meeting.
4.4 0,33 l. Bottle from Spicy Days Zagreb. Dark color with beige head. Dark malt and coffee aroma. Sweet, caramel, chocolate and coffee taste.
4.5 (surpuissant choco fondant, vanille (ad), pécan, cara, érable, huilo-laiteuse thick, > maltée, douceur de fruit red, > baltic)
3.8 0.33 bottle @ home Black with a small, tanned ring of a head. Aroma of molasses, chocolate, some spices, a bit of licorice. Taste is sweet, malty, molasses, damp forest, cardamom, Jule spice, again some licorice. Full, creamy, soft. Finish is long and bitter, herbal, spicy. Overall, pleasant though not highly drinkable on account of the herbal/medicine character.
3.6 Tap. Dark brown color, brown foam. Aroma: vanilla and dill, cardamom, coconut, butter, caramel, bourbon. Taste: vanilla, butter, caramel, cardamom, port wine, coconut, powerfully, a bit unbalanced.
