3.0 Pours a nice clear golden color with white head. Cereal grains mainly on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes pretty clean and smooth.
2.6 Bottle to pint (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a transparent gold with white head that steadily dissipates into thin lacing. Smells of biscuit and lager yeast with mild hop notes and a touch of grain. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Okay for what it is.
2.0 Decent, not a lot going on bit smooth and inoffensive - better than Bud miller or Coors - but really nothing great
2.0 Very clear with good carbonation, but the aroma tells of what is yet to come. Quite sweet taste, this is an adjunct beer. Better than the mainstream big beers, but not something to search out.
1.6 bottle. Deep golden with small head. There’s nothing remotely special about this. It’s a bland, watered down beer. Light malt and pretty much nothing else.
2.7 12 oz bottle pours golden with a white head. Aroma of grain and grass. Taste is malts and a hint if bitterness.
2.3 It tastes like a macro beer, say coors labatt miller, though some people say they like it.
3.5 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a crystal clear dark gold with just a tiny fizzy head. Nothing at all in the way of head retention or lacing. Aroma of light sweet corn and bread with just a touch of biscuit. Some light grassy hops floating on top. Fairly light flavor as well but there is nothing off about it. Corn and bread along with some spicy, grassy hops and a light refreshing bitterness. Moderate mouthfeel with a very clean finish. Overall, one of the better AAL’s I have had. Very refreshing and no off flavors. One to pick up again.
2.8 Clear Yellow, Huge Bubbly Head, Lots of Lacing. Light Grainy Aroma. Slightly Sweet, grain, corn, light bitter finish. Light watery body. Easy to Drink. OK for what it is, session beer, but not sure what so "Special" about it.
2.2 Light yellow pour with white head, super light grainy malty beer... not sure why uts called point spe ial.. Should be point boring lager
1.7 A little bland....slight malt taste on the front end...no head....tiniest hint of sweetness...ends watery
2.6 16oz can poured into a shaker. This brew is thin and watery and is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. A bit grainey. Really, not bad for the style. Enjoyable.
1.8 Bottle - small foamy head, medium amber color, very sweet malty aroma and flavor, kind of syrupy, not very good overall
3.0 Paired this with a Sunday hotdog at Punky’s Pub in Lombard, IL.. Dispensed to a shaker with a clear, light golden hue, a modest amount of white head foam, and minimal lacing. The aroma was light grain, light Pils malt/lager scent, and a touch of light corn sweetness. Low hop bitterness, good carbonation, light body(almost watery), but crisp and very sessionable. Washed down the dog nicely, and also refreshed!
2.0 Sample left for me. Pours light yellow, typical pale lager, with perfect head. Not much on the nose, maybe a hop essence similar to what Budweiser uses? It actually has some taste. some citrus notes and mild bitterness. Reminds me a bit like a Sam Adams. Not too bad for a pale lager.
2.6 Very light, clear yellow with a small white head. The aroma is full of grain with some grass thrown in. The flavor is more of the same. I get some grain and corn as well as some grass and a bit of sugar. Fairly sweet and malt overall. Thin mouthfeel and high carbonation.
3.4 Pours brassy gold, with a small white head....bubbles coating the inside of the glass. Aroma is bread, malt. Taste is slightly fruited, bread, grass. Smooth, Crisp, clean and light. Very nice, one of the better Pale Lagers out there.
1.7 12oz bottle. Code on bottle reads "2272SF". Clear golden yellow color. Thin white head, quickly fades to minimal. Bread in the nose. Some lemon and light lagery skunk. Only little loose lace. More sweet taste, light sourness. Little skunky bite. Light body. Pronounced carbonation. Flavor is watered down, but whats there is just a lightly skunky breadiness. Barely a step up from macro lagers
3.1 Bottle from trade with Crajun. Pours slightly cloudy, pale yellow, with a small head that fades quickly. Aroma is nice, pale malt, honey, grass, and even a touch a fruit or red berries. Taste is a bit sweet though. Slightly artificial sweetness but not bad. Very grassy, lots of honey, light fruitiness. I would really like this if it wasn’t too sweet. Overall, still a well above average pale lager.
4.5 Light enough for smooth drinking but enough bite to know your drinking a decent American lager. Straight forward
3.3 Aroma of lemongrass, light floral hops and pear. Appearance is hazy gold with light white head. Flavor of honey/lemongrass up front with minimal sweetness for the style, light floral hops throughout, and a slightly toasty, clean finish. The beer is light bodied but well carbonated and soft on the palate. Very well done for the style.
2.7 Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Grainy and relatively clean, with a light sweetness and very low hoppy bitterness. Not bad.
2.4 I picked this up in the bottle from Total Wine in Henderson, NV. Not too much going on here, in a blind taste test I might think this was bud or miller. A decent American style pilsner/lager drink it when the mountains turn blue.
1.8 bread like aroma, just a normal beer to me. Great alternative to pabst, high life and other plain, boring american lagers when you just want to buy a case
4.1 12oz bottle poured into a small stemmed pilsner glass. Pours a honey-gold, with a big, frothy, white head on top. Great retention. Mild citrus, dry grains, smack of lemon the finish. Crisp, clean mouth feel wets the palate. Not too slick. Really fresh beer. I love the flavor on this one! Fresh crisp bitterness, lemon, lime rind, grassy notes - really a "green" beer. I like this one a lot. This is an adjunct? For reals? I thought this had a lot of pilsner character with the sharp pale citrus, hop presence, and crisp feel. If this is an adjunct, this is one of the best out there. I would stock and restock the fridge with this beer. I’ll be getting this one again when I’m back in WI.
3.1 I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a disparity between a beer’s style and overall ratings. I suppose I see why considering the competition. For an easily drinkable American light lager, I would choose this over Bud and the like any day. That said, you can find better lagers with less stale bread aroma and a sharper and more interesting hop palate.
2.1 was not skunky trying to put an aroma to it, which tells me very plain, in bottle, nothing makes this stand out either good or bad, thin feel, light body, average carbonation, maybe the next one will improve
1.5 nothing "special" about this one. it’s not bad, but I wouldn’t call it good either. Just a middle of the road, lager. It’s beer, but it’s not wonderful.
2.0 On tap at the Beetle Bar, Humboldt Park, Chicago. Slightly distinctive wrt mass-market PLs, more hop bitterness and a slightly smoother palate. Not worth seeking out
2.6 meh; slightly better than BMC but not worth it; pretty generic aroma; flavor was slightly tart; slight hop; I drank and slight amount and slightly poured the rest out..
