Poppels American Pale Ale
Ölen du håller i din hand är en American Pale Ale (APA). När denna skapades i USA användes den lokalt odlade humlen. Detta gav rikliga toner av citrus. Som brukligt är i USA snålades det inte heller med dom väldoftande råvarorna.

Bottle from London Calling Sweden, Bermondsey. Burnt orange pour with a white head. Dried fruit, toffee,sweet malt aromas. Taste is dried fruit,spot of baked apple,malt. Bitter finish. It's ok.
Fresh and hoppy. I like it. Nice summer beer
September 7, 2019 - Bermondsey walkabout with harrisoni and lagerloather - at London Calling Sweden, on draught. Clear brassy gold, refractive, with a decent off-white head. Interesting aroma - lots of oily grain with sharply acidic bitterness and some strong mineral notes (the water?) .. taste is oily and grainy, less acidic and minerally, just simpler. Solid body, chewy, some astringency and mild carbonation, medium finish, quite a grainy aftertaste - oddly felt I would have scored it a couple of points higher off a full pint rather than a smaller pour.
330ml bottle (Systembolaget Are, Sweden). Dark amber color. Fizzy, gassy, bubbly, co2, explosive in aroma/taste.
On tap at Craft Corner Luxemburg. A clear amber beer with a beige head. Aroma of mild resinous hops, caramel. Taste of mild resinous hops, orange fruits, caramel, not too bitter.
Belle couleur orangée, fine mousse. Nez un peu fruité. En bouche on trouve une bonne touche de houblon fruité, un peu de malt et caramel. Assez douce, amertume mesurée. Très bel équilibre. Cascade et citra. Typique du style apa.

Nez : Agrumes, orange, fruits tropicaux, houblon
Bouche : Fruitée : Agrumes, citron, fruits tropicaux et houblon. Seconde bouche touche maltée, légère note caramel toujours très fruitée, houblon amer, note pin. Finition superbe amertume houblonnée, fruité citron / acidulé.
Avis : APA suédoise de très belle facture. Dominante fruitée et touche houblonnée, sans défaut.
Pale orange clear pour. Very fruity nose. Some bitterness, some caramel, some spicyness. Decent APA!
Ein schönes, straightes APA wie es sein soll - erinnert mich na meine ersten Craftbiere, ich werd fast sentimental. Großartige Nase, Sahneschaum, im Trunk dann etwas zurückgenommen, dann hinten aber schön trocken, spät bitter, toll.
Bronze, clear white course foam that didnt last. Mild aroma hops with a hint of an old blanket. Dry, caramel spices herbs. High in carbon

The looks of the beer are nice. The beer has a nice pale orange yellow colour. The beer is very cloudy. On top of the beer there is a nice layer of soft, frothy slightly off-white foam. It is a very style specific beer. Looking good, looking very good.
The aroma of the beer is nice. It is quite a tropical APA. The nose is filled with nice stone fruit aromas, including some lychee and some apricot. There is also nice zest, lemon, some melon in the distance. Nice piney aromas are also there, giving the beer a bit more of a robust note. It is very hoppy. The malts give a nice malty base, nothing too special. The focus is really on the hops.
The taste of the beer also is very nice. Bitter hops, with also a very nice sour fruit note. Malts are nice and sweet. There seems to be an extra sweet note, making the beer extra smooth and very well balanced. I really like it.
The palate of the beer also is very nice. Smooth, silky smooth, with a medium body. The carbonation is medium too. It suits the beer. The finish of the beer is very pleasant. It is filled with some nice fruity hops and that very pleasant sweetness, which both linger on for quite some time, fading away only slowly. All in all, a very pleasant beer. Good one.
Keg at London Calling Sweden. Herby flowery aroma. Copper. Thin creamy white head. Medium bitter with a herby edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Abrupt finish. Nice soft stuff.
God APA der ikke er for skarp på humlen
Har noget lys karamel i efternoterne, ellers er aromaerne noget Spice og lidt citrus
Gylden cloudy med hvidt fint hoved. Fin flaske, ren i stilen og ligner en gammel medicin flaske
Medium body, slick feel medium carbonation
330 ml bottle, best before 2/5/19. Unclear orange, foamy head. Pine, herbal notes, some honey, some lemon. Mild dry bitterness, honey sweetness. Light bodied, watery oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry finish. Quite ok.
Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, extra light hoppy notes, caramel, some fruityness, medium bitter. Medium body, malty bitter finish. Average.
Aroma: Fruity sweet with dusty hops.
Flavour: Fruity bitter with fruity sweetness. Aftertaste is fruity bitter.
Colour: Golden amber with white head.

Utseende uklar gylden med hvitt skum. Aroma malt karamell. Smak sitrus malt karamell humle. Middels fyldig og lett bitter god fruktighet. Flaske på Humle og Bier 2019
Meget sødme og en stor maltet smag i øllen. Har ikke meget humle, bliver næsten lidt vammel til sidst.

Golden, cloudy with a medium white head. A fruity aroma with senses of citrus, malt and tropical fruits. MEdium bitter with a hop ending, quite fresh drinking..
From the bottle. Amber with a frothy white head that lingers. Aroma of grapefruit, tangerine, honey. Taste is bittersweet up front, finishes mildly bitter and dry. Medium body, soft carbonation, creamy feel in the mouth. A good one.
Stick you nose deep into the glass of this swedish beer and gets strong notes of citrus in your headholes. After this put your lips to the edge of the glass, taste now this hopsfull beer and let your mouth and lips tell your brain that this is a "mycke bra"(swedish Word for very good) APA.
Hazy dark orange with an average head. Malty, some caramel, citrus, orange jam, medium carbonation, ok.

Flaska 330 ml från Systembolaget. Bärnstensfärgad och lite disig, fint skum som stannar kvar på insidan av glaset. Doft av humle och aprikos. Smak av humle, grapefrukt, aprikos och tallbarr. Trevlig beska. En mycket bra APA. Är nu även stolt Aktieägare i Poppels.
330 ml. bottle @ home, served in a teku glass, due date: 02/01/2019.
Aroma: not very intense aromas of malts, caramel malts, toasted malts, citrus, pine, resin. Hints of flowers, grass, fruits.
Appearance: amber to dark gold color with slightly off-white and quite creamy head made of small to medium sized bubbles. Medium head thickness with medium to high retention. Medium haziness, low to medium Brussels' lacing.
Taste: low to medium sweetness, low to medium bitterness, low sourness. Flavors of malts, toasted malts, caramel malts, cereals, grains. Hints of grapefruit, pine, resin, citrus, toffee. Quite well balanced, sweeter at first and increasingly bitter toward the finish.
Palate: medium body, watery texture, medium carbonation, quite long dry finish with low to medium bitterness and the same aforementioned flavors. Alcohol is not very noticeable: no alcohol sweetness in flavor or aroma and very light mouth and throat warming. Low astringency.
Overall: good looking, not very intense aromas but quite intense flavors. Malts, toasted malts, caramel malts and hints of pine, resin, citrus, grapefruit. Too watery texture. Not bad but maybe too much malts' leadership.
Besk men god pale ale. Gärna vid matlagning, ej massvis.
