A massively hopped strong pale ale brewed to celebrate our anniversary each year. Anniversary Ale is light gold to pale orange in color and offers a potent aroma of fresh pine and citrus with some warming alcohols present. The taste is a thick, chewy hop presence only barely contained by balancing malts. The finish is pure hop expression with a moderate warming alcohol sensation. Hops – Columbus, Amarillo and Simcoe; dry-hopped with Columbus and Amarillo. Body – Medium.
Availability – Late Spring / Early Summer Release. Ranges from 10%-11% ABV.

3.4Bottle (as Anniversary Ale), 11% ABV (from beergium). Pours amber with beige head. The head stays, nice lacing. Aroma is very hoppy, citrus, pine, caramel, Flavor is sweet and bitter, pine, citrus, malt, booze, some floral hops. Finish is resin bitter with some alcohol. Drinkability is decent, but it’s too boozy for my taste. Overall: ok.
3.7Feel like I’m eating hop leaves - thick and heavy. Drinks well though, bitterness is fair.
3.8Bomber. 2016 10 year anniversary version. 11%
Clear dark gold with a large, foamy, off white head that lasts and laces. Aromas of pink grapefruit, mango, peach, orange, pine, caramel. Flavor is pine, orange peel, grapefruit, peach, caramel, toasted malts and light spice. Medium plus bodied, oily and creamy with a dry end.
3.810 year anniversary ale - deep golden color, off white head. Bet brings citrus and pine with a nice make backbone in aroma and taste. Well balanced overall. Smooth medium body, ready drinking. 11% abv well hidden.
3.7Big...with a huge citrus punch! Anniversary boast tons of hops, but there is a nice malty backbone to it as well--just enough to hold everything together. Very nice to sip on. 22oz bottle
4.2On tap at Ridgewood Wine & Beer, Raleigh, NC. Dark orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit rind, and light pineapple. Taste of soft grapefruit, wet grass, fresh pine needles, and mild caramel malt. Nice lingering bitterness. A great DIPA.
3.8Chunky hoppy sweet. If there was a IPA syrup for pancakes. Carmel hops light bite nose is citrus strong and apple and candy.
4.022oz bottle of 10 Year Anniversary Ale (11% this year) into a Corsendonk badged tulip (twice) on 3rd June 2016 while on holiday in California. Golden amber in colour with a little beige head of deep foam. The breweries description is spot on, I found this hoppy, piney and with a warming alcoholic depth from the first sniff and sip. I had the whole bottle with a cheese platter and salted biscuits, sharing neither the beer or cheese plate with anyone or thing (Frankie the dog looked on hopefully). Impressed.
4.0Candied apple and lots of guava and citrus, mango. Golden amber pour with good head and lacing. Very bitter. And very nice all around. A little more complex than the hop concepts I just had. Tap at Sovereign Savor event.
4.1Draft at the Lost Abbey 10th Anniverary Party. Golden pour with decent head. Lots and lots of hops and sweet citrus aromas. Flavors if more hoppy deliciousness. Pretty good for a style that has been becoming less and less of a favorite.
3.4Orangish color with a white head, good lacework and medium lasting. Aroma has hoppy notes, notes of orange peel, citrus and resins. Flavor has a good bitterness, citrusy hints, bittery orange and some peachy notes. Good bitterness in the final with good duration.
3.9Label says 10th Anniversary and 11%. Just sayin’. Golden orange with a very subtle haze, two-finger thick white head and excellent lace. Aromas of citrus/tropical fruits, along with some floral/pine in the background. Flavor is dominated by a big hop bitterness - orange, tropical fruit, pine - supported with prominent caramel sweetness. Full body, moderate carbonation, creamy mouthfeel and a clean finish. Alcohol is present, but in the background.
3.8Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich flowers, hops, malt and caramel. Semi sweet finish. Very nicely balanced.
4.4Served in teku. Colour is deep orange with copper highlights, very thick and frothy white head. Aroma is very balanced, quite malty with distinct piney and floral hops, great mix. Although a bit pinching. Its surprisingly oily in the beginning and sweet of course, then rapidly bitter, but not overwhelming. Lots of grassy and herbal hints. The initial taste is outstanding, you could mistake it as a ris with closed eyes for a second. Long and bitter finish. Truly great imperial IPA.
3.7May 13th, 2014 - Port Brewing’s Anniversary Ale is true to its origins, dank and intense and everything San Diego likes to see in his native sons/daughters. A paler brown and orange, much of the color of the beer is covered by the massive umbrella of the head, clotted and fluffy. The aroma is decorated with corn, some marijuana dankness, and a bit of soap, with a smaller accent of leather. Given how bold and outgoing the aroma is, the flavor starts surprisingly mild, almost tasteless. But it ramps up, boozy and dark with more weediness, and then shifts to a long, boozy aftertaste, sweetened with graham cracker, cheap whiskey and much later in the aftertaste, straight up ethanol.
3.6Cloudy orange pour with a light beige head. Aroma is malt and fruity hops. Taste is hoppy, grapefruit. A little bitter aftertaste from the hops. Nice malt backbone. Hoppy aftertaste. A little pine in the finish. Great lacing.
3.9Bottle.
Slightly hazy amber pour, frothy white head.
Nice hoppy nose, hoppy taste with a floral hint. Some alcohol apparent.
Full body, soft carbonation.
3.8This is obviously an Old bottle. Galatea sells Old bottles and shows blatant disregard for the customer and the brewery.
The nose has marmalade, alcohol, bit dusty and tired hops, resin and earth. Obviously more aromatic when fresh.
Hazy golden colour, medium white head, some lacing.
Big bite, heavily sweet ABV well integrated.
Fullbodied, soft carbonation, warming and sweet finish.
I blame the importer that the Beer didn't get a higher grade.
3.9Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma is fruity and has loads of piney hops. Flavor is heavy bitter, medium sweet and fruity.
3.91pt 6 fl oz bottle from Mikkeller webshop. Pours a hazy orange amber colour with a white foam head leaving lacing. Nose of spicy tangerine, fruity mango, hop resin. Flavour is malt caramel, sweetish, mango, with citrus grapefruit and pine hoppy grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry earthy warm boozy bitter finish. Very drinkable.
3.4Cloudy, lots of hops swimming, nice head. Sweet aroma, pineapple, carqmel. Medium body, sweet. Lots of alcohol.
3.5Pours dark amber woth s medium sized white head. Aroma; hoppy, grapefruit, citrus, caramel with some pine and resin and bread notes. Flavours; bread, grapefruit, citrus with a bitter malt with honey finish..
3.8Hazy orange body with a medium white head. Aroma is strong grapefruit. So strong that almost instantly a fruit fly fell in my glass. Caramel, malt, hops. Taste is sweet and heavy bitter. Oily texture, soft carbonation, warm alcohol finish.
3.8bottle, 11.0% abv. cloudy orange amber colour. very dry and hoppy. alcohol noticeable but not unpleasant. very drinkable despite its high abv.
3.9Deep orange with a firm head. Aroma is resins, fruits, pine, citrus. Easy for the abv on the tongue, long bitter finish, really impressive.
4.2Pours cloudy orange with ample white head. Amazing smell of grapefruit and light citrus, very inviting. Huge juicy hop flavors of citrus, pine, and some caramel malt. Dry finish with long-lasting bitter pine taste. Excellent IIPA.
4.165cl bottle served in a shaker. Deep orange/amber colour with a pillowy white head which lasts throughout and some good lacing. Aroma upfront is juicy and oily hops - orange, pineapple, grassy which considering the density of the head and shape of the glass is very pronounced. Mouthfeel is medium to thick (for its style) and sticks your lips together with the honey sweet maltiness which then turns to the hops which assault your tastebuds in a good way. I would guess at the IBU being in excess of 120 here. If it wasn’t for the ABV this would be quite an easy drink to consume a lot of. It needs to be treated with respect at 11% and such a large bottle. A worthy addition to the Port brewing lineup.
4.1650 mL bottle, 11.0%. An orange beer, a head is big and blond. Aroma is great with lots of tropical fruits, mangos, pineapples, some pine needles, also marshmellows, caramel malts in the background. Taste has caramel maltyness, fruit candies, tropical fruits and lots of pine needles. Strong bitterness is balancing the strong maltyness. The bitterness and hint of alcohol is noticed in the throat. Full bodied, not sticky. The great beer, strong maltyness and strong bitterness but balanced.
3.5650ml bottle @ Vesakkotien virkistyskeskus. 2015 bottle.
Dark orange stuff with a white head. Fruits, strong, bity, alcohol, dry end. Ok.
3.8Bottle 66cl / Botella 66cl.
