3.9(2016 keg @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen, Dec 15/17) Pitch black pour with a small off white head. Aroma is pretty roasted and peppery, notes of coffee, hard-roasted cacao, ashy burnt grain, moderate whiskey, wood, light sweet caramel, soft vanilla and spicy chili. On the palate, rather dry, core of dark caramel and chocolate, burnt wood, spent coffee grounds, ash, light vanilla, rather hot whiskey spirit, moderately high peppery heat, dusty, rather harsh into the finish. Medium-full body, soft carbonation, a bit of booze. Came across as rather harsh in comparison to many other stouts consumed alongside, like the chilies and barrel were amplifying each other's worst qualities. Maybe a bit old, not the best Bomb. Remembered this as better from a quick sip previously.
3.8375ml bottle @ Matt's. Pours an opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Nose is a nice amount of coffee, whiskey barrels, with hints of cocoa and vanilla. Flavour is quite similar, cocoa, vanilla, coffee and whiskey barrels with an underlying chilli character.
4.0Pours pitch black, no head and thick lacing on the glass.
Aroma has vanilla, peppers, oak, bourbon, spices, cinnamon.
Taste is cinnamon, vanilla, roasted coffee, bitter chocolate, oak, maple syrup-ish sweetness, bourbon finish with peppers that sits in for a long time.
4.7Smell: whisky, vanilla, dark cocoa, coffee. Tongue: less barrel, more coffee and chillies. Aroma is more complexed than taste. Good job. // W aromacie głównie beczka, w tle wanilia, gorzkie kakao i kawka, delikatne papryczki w sumie też i ani grama stricte alkoholu.
4.1355ml bottle (thx, Rick P.!) at Matt's. Pours a very dark brown with a weak beige head. Aroma is chocolate, barrel, peppers. Similar taste. This one is nice. Like others BA stuff, though.
3.8Bottle - Dark chocolate and coffee notes. Rich complex coffee, raw wood and some nice dark chocolate. Lots of raw wood and sweet chocolate with a lon* woody chocolate note.
3.7Dark brown. No head. On the nose, rich barrel/whisky notes, coffee is assertive, and there's a bit of vanilla. Sweet, the coffee and vanilla actually go together. Pretty drinkable for this size, the body having a touch of acidity that helps to bring it to life. The finish is a bit nuttiness. Looking at this one way, it's a fucking mess. Looking at this another way, it's a happy mess.
3.912 oz. bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is very complex and multi-faceted, with coffee, whiskey barrels, cocoa and vanilla, with a touch of spiciness. Flavour is along the same lines, with spicy peppers, cocoa, vanilla, coffee and whiskey barrels. Probably a bit too many elements here, but they do work cohesively. Finishes on barrel notes, with a touch of spice. Excellent.
4.1May 14, 2016. On tap at CBC, green session.
Black with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted, malty, light spicy with coffee, chocolate, toffee, vanilla, some chili notes, burnt wood and bourbon. Taste is sweet, roasted and spicy. Medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, smooth texture. Finish has a slight chili heat, smooth roastiness,

4.5Bottle. Black oily pour. Fantastic aroma of bourbon vanilla, milk chocolate, soft chili, earthy vanilla and caramel fudge. Thick flavor of bourbon vanilla, caramel fudge, smooth chili, milk chocolate, mocha coffee, soft licorice, earthy vanilla bean and a soft chiliburn in the finish. Really long lasting delicious flavor. I expected the best and I got the best. Amazing.
4.5From a regular bottle...pours near black with small head and lace that eventually disappear in a tulip glass. Aroma of a vanilla chocolate candy with bourbon filling nougat. Light carbonation and big mouthfeel. Flavors of dark chocolate, vanilla, whiskey, milk chocolate, oak, spicy peppers. Overall rich, complex yet pleasing, strong yet delightful...another one please!
4.8Now this is absolutely incredible - loads of chocolate, almonds, vanilla, coffee and cocoa in aroma with just a hint of chilli. Taste is almost just as good with chocolate pralines, almonds and vanilla coming in at first followed up by a tiny bit of spiciness from chilli. Incredible beer and one of the best that Ive had (top 3 for sure).
4.0Sample @ Mikkeller Beer Celebration 2017, Red Session 20170513. Roasted malty with bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, sweet, roasted finish.
Mouthfeel profond, texture riche, plaisir garanti.
4.0Intense chocolate, cacao, barrel flavours, bourbon, but more on the dry side. Dark brown, small, frothy, beige head. Light bitter. More dry cacao, dark chocolate, rich and creamy texture, sweet dark fruits, prunes, blackberries, soft carbonation, full bodied. Very nice Impy, but I prefer the aroma of the non-BA version. Keg at MBCC Red Session, Copenhagen.
4.0think I found nirvana. this has to be one of the best overall BA imperial stouts ever. deep roasted malts, chilis, cinnamon, vanilla, oak, bourbon, and coffee on the nose and the flavor is all that and some. truly deep flavors of all the scents on the nose. the chilies vanilla oak and bourbon are amazing.
4.0Sample at MBCC 2017. Dark malty smell with chocolate and a roasted aroma. Similar taste with bourbon. More boozy then the regular Bomb, the original was better.
4.7Tap @ Mikkeller Beer Celebration 2017
MEGA AROMAT 10/10!
Wanilia przez duże W, mokre drewno, dębina, kokos, pralinki belgijskie, ptasie mleczko, karmel i likier kokosowy. Smak pełny, wyklejający usta i podniebienie, potężnie gładki.
Wanilia, kokos, orzechy migdałowe, ciemne słodkie owoce, toffi, ptasie mleczko, odrobina kakao. Chilli tylko odrobinkę, dla równowagi.
Zero posmaków alkoholowych.

3.9Tap @ mbcc 2017. Pours a dark colour beer with a small head. Roasted malts with vanilla, chocolate, coffee and ba character. Dry finish.
3.9Tap at MBCC 2017, Red session. 13%. Poured almost black with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is roast, dry coffee, chocolate, some alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth rich oily liqourice alcohol chilli spice palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
4.2Draught @ MBCC 2017. Pours pitch black with a bubbly brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, cocoa, bourbon, vanilla, spices and oak. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with some complex notes, wood, oak, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, hints of earthiness and whisky. Finish is smooth, complex and roasty with some coffee, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, oak, wood and hints of syrup. Smooth, complex and well balanced. Tasty.
4.1Poured from a 12 oz bottle.
Aroma is chocolate forward with moderately strong roast and coffee notes followed by some lighter vanilla and faint chilies. Light whiskey notes and faint oak. Hints of alcohol spice.
Pours jet black with a small, forced, dark mocha head that recedes quickly to the edges and disappears. No lacing and moderately long legs.
Flavor is rather sweet with a lot of upfront chocolate notes and hints of caramel and toffee. Medium light coffee and roast notes with moderate to medium light vanilla. Light chili spice in the finish. Light whiskey and oak notes with hints of alcohol.
Mouthfeel is medium full bodied and slightly silky with medium low to low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a nice stout. I really like Bomb and the variants for how easy they are to acquire. I also like the fact that it has chili but none of that disgusting cinnamon that usually accompanies the chili. Solid balance between the chocolate, coffee, vanilla and chili notes as well. Seriously, stop putting cinnamon in stouts.
4.2Keg at himmeriget. Pours opaque black with minimal brown head. Aroma is cocoa, coffee, chocolate, vanilla. Taste is cocoa sweet, vanilla sweet, caramel sweet, oak, molasses.
4.0Bottle via trade. Pours dark brown, near black with a finger off brown colored head. Leaves a ring around the glass. Oily. Aromas of dry cocoa, vanilla, light oak, light pepper. Taste mimics the nose with light peppers and dry cocoa hitting the palate first. Hints of vanilla, light barrel touch and light peppers fill out the back end. Solid beer!
4.1Keg at Ratebeer Best Beer Festival. 31/01/2016. An oily caramel brown coloured pour with a thin tan head. Aroma is spicy cinnamon , nutmeg, oak, bourbon, vanilla, some sweet pralines. Flavour is composed of sweet brown sugars, toasted marshamallow, bourbon oak. Palate is full, sticky, sweet, sticky sweet, spicy finish. / Lovely.
4.6Bottle. Black pour with a medium light brown head. Aroma of malt, cinnamon, peppers, chocolate, vanilla and bourbon. Malty flavor with cinnamon, peppers and vanilla before a rich chocolate and warm bourbon finish. I’m way past believing everything is better in a barrel and Bomb! is tough to improve upon, but this is a truly special beer.
4.133,5 cl bottle. Black with a light brown head. Aroma of oil, malt, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Nice sweet with a warm coffee and vanilla end. Nice!
