3.9 35,5 cl fles. Zwart bier met een bruin schuim randje. Geur: licht geroosterde mout, wat floraal, wat fruitig, bessen. Smaak: licht zoet, alcoholisch, likoreus, donker fruit, wat cacao. Volmondig. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: zoet, iets kleverig.
Mycket gott.
4.3 KYGG 060419. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is cacoa nibs, roasted malt. flavor is cacoa nibs, roasted malt, cofee, licorice, alcohol. Powerful beer.
3.2 Tap at Tahouse CPH. Pours dark brown-black. Aroma and flavor are very sweet, bitter, roast, malt, chocolate, cocoa, acidic. Overall: ok
3.6 Tap @ Taphouse 10/5-19. Roasted malty with licorice. Body is full, roasted finish.
3.7 Tap @ Taphouse, Copenhagen 20190510. Roasted malty with licorice, full body with an oily texture. Medium finish is bitter.
4.1 Bottle. Pours opaque black, medium creamy brown head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is cocoa, molasses, coffee, roast, leather. Flavor is medium sweet, fully bitter, molasses and cocoa. Full body, creamy mouthfeel.
3.9 Draft. A black beer with thin brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, and coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, and roasted malt, leading to a bitter finish.
3.9 8 ounce glass at Lizardville Copley Ohio, Smell some whiskey and malt. Pitch black and just a little beige head. Taste some chocolate and whiskey. Little smoother than the vanilla I just had. Whiskey after taste but the alcohol is well hidden. Really awesome sipping beer. Cheers!
3.8 Bottle. It pours an oily, brown body under a minimal sized dark beige head. The aroma. The aroma has roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate and some honey, with a good dash of cocoa. Sort of meaty too. It's full-bodied, lighlty warming, soft and with a good bitterness. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, umami and lots of cocoa. Long cocoa and dark chocolate finish. Delicious. 190406
3.9 Bottle 355ml @ Gunnfryd Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, cocoa, licorice and alcohol. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, chocolate, coffee, licorice and cocoa finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
4.2 Aroma: A lot of chocolate, cacao and vanilla. Great influence of cacao nibs. Some fruity coffee as well. Appearance: Black with nice, brown head. Taste: Slightly sweet, medium bitterness. Palate: Full to medium body, quite smooth. Overall: Very obvious influence of cacao, interesting beer to drink.
3.8 From the bottle. Black with a light brown head that goes soft and creamy. Full bodied with the consistency of oil. Sticky. Aroma of molasses, ink and fudge. Taste is sweet, full of chocolate, much the same at the end but warming with a light tang that rounds out the finish. Warming and alcoholic. Good but a bit rough around the edges.
4.1 Bottle at Peders. Black coloured with a small beige head. Roasted aroma of caramel, chocolate and chocolate cake. Roasted flavour of caramel, chocolate and chocolate cake. Roasted finish.
4.1 Impressive Imperial Stout. Aroma is pure cocoa; hints of liquorice and caramel. Color is opaque dark black, with an inconsistent tanned foam head. Taste is intense sweet, and really bitter. Texture is really oily and sticky. In the aftertaste you can perfectly appreciate all the cocoa notes. Carbonation is average, finish is long. Overall, a very robust and enjoyable Imperial Stout.
3.8 Bottle from Biererei, bought in August 2018. Black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of chocolate, roasted malt, hints of earth and some cocoa. The body was full and the finish sweet.
3.9 (355ml bottle from Mikkeller Webshop) Pours pitch black with a tiny dark tan head. Aroma of sweet dark toffee malt, bakers chocolate, some soft roast, maybe dark fruit? Flavours of sweet dark malt with dark toffee and semisweet chocolate tones, some moderate cacao roast and earth, chocolate liqueur, touch of fruitiness, quite some booze heat. Overall balance is moderately sweet finishing dry thanks to the alcohol and moderate bitterness. Medium-ish body, soft carb. Middle of the road for the deconstructed variants; pretty balanced but not as complex as the original.
3.8 Bottle picked up from Beer Gonzo Webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry. Consumed at Isobel and Jude's Builth Wells, Powys Wales on Saturday 16th February 2019 in the company of Dad, Pauline, Jude and Baz, shared with everyone, even Isobel eventually tried a little of all. Pours black, lots of chocolate, but the chocolate doesn't stop the beery warmth coming through, so far the vanilla is doing the best in the deconstructed format. Cacao is Baz's favourite. It's good but it is bettered by others. This worked well in all of the blends when trying to recreate the BOMB. As a stand-alone beer it appeared to be the second favourite of the rest of the group.
3.7 Bottle at home.. Shig tasting... Dark black.. Small tan head... Heavy chocolate roast malts... Dark roast malts.. Heavy sweet chocolate roast malts... Heavy malts.. Light coco.. Heavy malts
3.7 Bottle at home. Black with barely any head. Sugary, licorice, roast, cola, chocolate syrup, light earthy, marshmallow, Palm sugar. Very sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied with light boozy finish. It’s nice, but like the other deconstructed ones it’s far from classic Bomb!
3.8 A 12 fl. oz. bottle with no clear bottled on or best before date. Poured into a snifter glass. It was a dark dark brown to black in colour with a thin mocha brown head that disappeared almost immediately and left only sparse to no lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa and oak. Tastes similar to the aroma, there’s roasted malts, cocoa, chocolate, hints of vanilla and a boozy lightly bitter finish. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Overall aroma was nice, but taste while not bad, was not as good as the Coffee or Vanilla versions. Having said that, the Original was definitely better than the Deconstructed versions.
3.4 Bottle. Black pour with a thick tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, some spice and a little bit of funk. Malt and funk flavor with a chocolate finish. This one was weird. Not going to use the "i" word, but something is definitely off. Not sure if it got oxidized or what.
3.9 Black with an average beige head. Malty, roasted malts, cocoa, dark chocolate, hints of vanilla, slightly sourish, oily, good.
4.4 Black pour with thin white head. Aroma is roast chocolate malt, vanilla and sawdust. Taste is follows nose, but not quite as impressive. Still an incredible stout.
3.9 Draught at Torst: black with beige head. Chocolate and molasses in the nose. Taste is chocolate, well dark chocolate, bitterness, some sweetness. Alcohol is well covered. Quite good.
4.2 (malto-puissant, > choco (ad), µ-alcool appétissant, oily > cacao, last alcool-âpre (too much au début))
3.9 Bottle at Craig's. Pours black, nose is soy sauce, chocolate, roasted, taste is similar, chewy.
4.2 Bottle. It poured a black color with a tan head. The aroma was of chocolate, malts, roast and wood. The taste was similar to the aroma with more chocolate, malts, roast, wood, alcohol with medium carbonation and a nice chewy aftertaste. Good stuff.
3.4 Bottle thanks to Stu at Cgarvie. Poured black with a tan head. Aroma is roasty light chocolate. Taste is roasty with huge alcohol burn.
3.7 Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phloen Chit, Bangkok. Poured a clear dark brown with a short-lived frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, boozy alcohol, liqouirce, chocolate. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with an oily, rich, roasty, liqouirce, boozy palate and a lingering boozy alcohol bitter finish. Full bodied with flat carbonation. Nice but where were the cacao nibs? Given the name you would expect it to be the defining flavour.
