3.8 Black with a brown head - Dark malt aroma with peppers - Dark malt body with some hints of pepper heat - The dark malt goes into the finish with some pepper sting - This was good, and balanced, just enough pepper
3.6 Mikołaj Rutkowski is drinking a Deconstructed Bomb! Chili Peppers by Prairie Artisan Ales at Morze Piwa
3.7 Pours pitch Black, gorgeous tan head. Aroma is Cinnamon, pepper spice in the back, chocolate. Flavor is cinnamon, pepper burn in the back, sweet chocolate. Not bad. Not too spicy at all. Just a burn in the back.
3.4 Tap.Black colour with medium beige head.Aroma of chilli pepper and chocolade roasted with good full body and spicey finish.
4.0 35,5cl flesje via Hopt Alcoholpercentage van 11,8% Uitgeschonken in Hopt glas Uiterlijk: zwart met goede vaste crèmekleurige schuimkraag Aroma en smaak: neus is chocolade, koffie, peper, smaak is chocolade, koffie, gebrande mouten, chilipepers minder overheersend als gedacht Conclusie: mooie stout goede balans
3.5 Draft. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, and chili. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, chili, and dark chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish. Not a big chili fan.
3.8 Black with a Little beige head. Roasted malts, liquorice, black coffee, some chili peppers, bitter finish.
3.9 Dark black in color, light beige head... Aroma of dark chocolate, cocoa, light chili peppers... Flavor of dark chocolate, light chili peppers, hint of vanilla, moderate sweetness and not much cocoa bitterness... light pepper on palate... tasty
3.7 Bottle. Poured black, dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate, dark roasted malts, vegetables, peppers. Taste was mild bittersweet, dark chocolate, mild chili pepper, spice, creamy.
4.3 Aroma: Very strong chili aroma, almost fruity. Chocolate, caramel, cocoa and coffee. Appearance: Black with fantastic, creamy, tan head. Taste: Moderate chili, medium bitterness, quite sweet. Palate: Average carbonation, medium to full body. Overall: Very nice imperial stout, the aroma of chilies is very unusual, usually they only contribute to the taste. Everyone should try it!
3.4 Bottle. Darkest brown, dark brown cream. Dry cocoa, port aroma, metallic herbal notes. Medium body, sweet pudding sugar, dark sugar, sweet caramel finish.
3.4 Bottle. Black color with beige head. Aroma is milk chocolate, coffee, a touch of yeast, light roast. Taste is milk chocolate, umami, light roast, a touch of plums, where's the chili? Oily mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Decent Imperial Stout, but not nearly as good as regular Bomb! and I don't get chili whatsoever.
4.0 Aroma is roasted malts... can't capture the whole spicy chili notes. Color is intense dark black, and on the top, an inconsistent tanned dark foam head. Taste is nice, a little bit salty, and again, not getting the chili spicyness until the aftertaste. Body is full and carbonation is pretty low. Overall, a nice experiment, but the chili flavor is redundant.
4.5 (nez ~fraise, malté grillé, bouche onctuo-délicate, sirop fraise, fraîcheur poivron, piquant piment inexistant)
3.7 Bottle from Biererei, bought in August 2018. Black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of dark malt, chocolate, light chili and some coffee. The finish was quite sweet.
4.0 (355ml bottle from Mikkeller Webshop) Pours pitch black with a short lived brown head. Aroma of dark malts with toffee, brown sugar, moderate roast, a little brewed coffee and chocolate, dark fruit, sweetish chili, hint of smoke? Flavour is moderately sweet, more toffee and brown sugar-inflected dark malt at the core, moderate roast, some dark chocolate, sweet dark fruit, savoury chili. Finish is semi-sweet with a little acidic quality to the roast and drying, lightly peppery chili with a smoky edge. Medium bodied, softly carbonated, maybe a hint of booze with the chili. Nice beer overall, the chili was softer than I expected from base bomb and made me think there's actually a lot of this in the main blend rather than the little I was expecting. A lot of multi-adjunct stouts with chili are hotter than this.
3.4 Bottle picked up from Beer Gonzo Webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry. Consumed at Isobel and Jude's Builth Wells, Powys Wales on Saturday 16th February 2019 in the company of Dad, Pauline, Jude and Baz, even Isobel eventually tried a little of all.. Pours black, smooth but the chilli is perhaps a little too warm and whilst it works pretty well it really needs the other parts to soften it out. The weakest of the three by a country mile. It's a good Impy but it lacks subtlety and shows that all of these varieties this is the hardest to get right.
3.7 A 12 fl. oz. bottle with no clear bottled on or best before date. Poured into a snifter glass. It was a dark dark brown to black in colour with a near one finger mocha brown head that dissipated quickly and left only sparse to no lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, toffee and light chili spice. Tastes of roasty malts, light sweetness, chocolate, light lasting chili spice and bitter finish. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Overall the chili spice had a nice kick to it, but I was missing the nice stronger coffee notes that were present in the original Bomb!.
3.8 Bottle. Black pour with a thick tan head. Nose of malt, chocolate, spice and slight pepper. Malt, chocolate and sweet spice flavor with a slight pepper finish.
3.8 Black with fizzy brown head that leaves no trace. Sweet soy sauce, licorice, molasses, light coffee and chocolate, soft chili and fruity peppers 🌶, brown sugar, light ash. Very sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied with slick feel, low carbonation and almost medium chili heat. Nice beer, but not as good as regular Bomb!
4.2 Black pour with thin head. Aroma is roast chocolate malt and green chilli. Taste follows nose. Presents chilli as sweet. Another great one.
3.6 On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma beige media. Al naso note di caffè verde, habanero chocolate, cioccolato fondente. In bocca è dolce all'attacco con finale piccante, fortunatamente non eccessivo, e amaro medio. Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Ok.
4.0 Bottle. It poured a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of chocolate, chili peppers, toffee, some coffee, malts and roast. The taste was similar to the aroma with more chocolate, chili peppers, toffee, coffee, malts, roast with medium carbonation and a nice little burn in the aftertaste. Good stuff.
3.9 The aroma is a slight pepper, a slight licorice. Pours a dark brown head, fully diminishing, color is black and no lacing just an oily coat around the glass. The taste is a mild sweet. The body is medium, the texture creamy and the taste long. Very good, could use some more heat.
4.1 Bottle at Craig's. Pours black, nose is chocolate, chilli, roasted, toffee, taste is similar, a little heat, fruity.
4.1 Bottle thanks Stu at cgarvie. Poured a black with bubble tan head. Aroma is pepper and roasted malts. Taste is spicy pepper with roasted malts.
4.0 Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phrom Phong, Bangkok. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, liqouirce, coffee, chocolate, boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich oily roasty, boozy, chocolate, coffee, warm alcohol bitter, light spicy chilli palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation. Awesome!
