4.0 (vanille, liqueur choco, compate, carbo-piquante, moins bien que les 3 autres, un peu indus-sans âme)
4.1 Mikołaj Rutkowski is drinking a Deconstructed Bomb! Vanilla by Prairie Artisan Ales at Morze Piwa
4.0 Taster shared with Brian. Appearance: opaque dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: dark fruits, raisins, roasted malt. Taste: similar, very silky and smooth. Overall: interesting, but where is vanilla?
4.0 KYGG 060419. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, vanilla. flavor is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, alcohol, vanilla, sugar. Powerful beer.
3.7 Draft. A black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, and vanilla. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, dark chocolate, and vanilla, leading to a dry roasted finish.
3.6 Draft at Torst with Linh and Scarlett. Pours a deep brown body with tan lace. Rich oak and vanilla on the nose. Sweet sugary vanilla slides across the palate. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with notes of sweet sugar, booze, rich vanilla and dessert.
3.6 Loj jak słabiutko. Już nie pierwsze Praire. Też jakby takie umami? Mało złożone, ta wanilia też taka nieciekawa, trąci spirytusem lekko. Nie
3.8 8 ounce glass at Lizardville in Copley Ohio. Smell whiskey and malt. Pitch black in color. Medium beige head. Taste the whiskey and a little vanilla. Smooth with whiskey after taste. Alcohol is pretty well hidden at 11.8% The kind of beer to sip on. Cheers!
3.5 Bottle. An oily dark brown beer with some dark beige bubbles around the rim. The aroma is a bit weak for a Bomb! beer, but sure pleasant. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, some alcohol and a vague hint of vanilla. Brown sugar notes. It's full-bodied, warming and softly carbonated, with a touch of bitterness. Brown sugar, coffee, chocolate, hints of vanilla. Lasting finish. A very nice beer indeed, but for a Bomb it's sort of boring. 190406
3.9 Bottle 355ml @ Gunnfryd Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, licorice and vanilla. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, coffee. licorice and hint of vanilla finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
3.7 Black. Brown head, two fingers, good retention. Difficult to see the carbonation through the darkness. Creamy texture at first, then oilier. Aroma is soy sauce, chocolate, molasses, caramel syrup, liquor. Fudge hints. Taste is chocolate, vanilla beans, soy sauce, caramel, ash hints, molasses. Sweet. Sweet ending with little alcohol. Somewhat hot and sweet aftertaste.
4.4 Aroma: Chocolate, caramel, liquorice and vanilla. Some fruity notes. Appearance: Black with great, tan head. Taste: Sweet, moderate bitterness. Palate: Smooth, full body, low carbonation. Overall: The best of the deconstructed Bombs that I have tried, vanilla plays with chocolaty base really well. Nevertheless, standard Bomb! prevails!
4.1 Aroma is strong vanilla notes, and hints of granola, caramel and liquorice. Color opaque dark black, with an inconsistent tanned foam head. Taste is super sweet, and a bit too bitter. Strong vanilla flavours, with some cream and liquorice notes. Texture is super oily. Long bitter finish, full body, low carbonation. Overall, a great exmple of the genre.
3.6 Bottle from Biererei, bought in August 2018. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark malt, soy sauce, dried fruit and some chocolate. The same in the taste. Not much vanilla in this one. The alcohol was well hidden.
4.0 355 ml bottle from mikkeller webshop. Black with tanned head. Roasted with loads of chocolate, some coffee and some vanilla and fudge. Semi sweet with low bitterness and soft carbonation.
4.0 Bottle picked up from Beer Gonzo Webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry. Consumed at Isobel and Jude's Builth Wells, Powys Wales on Saturday 16th February 2019 in the company of Dad, Pauline, Jude and Baz, even Isobel eventually tried a little of all. Pours black the vanilla is soft, creamy and despite the vanilla showing its still dominated by the chocolate. Vanilla is the favourite of Dad, Fin, Jude, Pauline, Isobel and Loz. The vanilla, as expected also worked well in a blend of all four that Jude did to recreate the BOMB.
3.9 Bottle at home. Thick black with dark brown head. Roast, licorice, molasses, earthy vanilla, chocolate, sweet vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting, brown sugar. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Very sweet but quite nice, and better than the chili and cocoa deconstructed ones I bough at the same time.
3.9 (355ml bottle from Mikkeller Webshop) Pours pitch black with a small pale tan head. Notes of sweet dark malt with a definite caramel and dark syrup quality, sweet chocolate, lots of vanilla, touches of umami, roast is pretty soft and retreating. The sweetness rolls through the sip and lingers into the aftertaste. Medium bodied and softly carbonated. A nice stout, but the vanilla version is a lot sweeter and less roasty than the 'base' and shows how much the adjunct combination does to make up Bomb's balance.
4.0 A 12 fl. oz. bottle with no clear bottled on or best before date. Poured into a snifter glass. It was dark dark brown to black in colour with a half finger mocha brown head that dissipated quickly and left only sparse to no lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla and a light nuttiness. Tastes similar to the aroma, with roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla and light coffee. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Overall this was good, but perhaps the only reason I preferred the Coffee version over Vanilla was because this was slightly too sweet for my palate. In the end though, the original was better than any of the deconstructed versions.
4.2 Bottle. Black pour with a thick tan head. Aroma of malt, vanilla, chocolate and some spice. Malt, vanilla and chocolate flavor leading into a roasty finish with some spice.
4.0 Black with an average beige head. Malty, roasted malts, plenty of vanilla, dark chocolate, some ash, oily, medium carbonation, good!
4.4 Black pour with minimal head. Aroma is mild roast chocolate malt, vanilla and coffee. Taste brings vanilla way forward. Very nice.
4.2 33cl-fles. U: Zwart met een dunne bruine schuimkraag. G: Vanille, geroosterd, alcohol en chocolade. S: Zoet met een lichte moutbitterheid. Chocolade, vanille, geroosterde toetsen en wat lichte kruidige prikken. Alcoholwarmte. M: Volmondig, sticky en lichte carbonatie.
4.0 35cl Fles. Zwart bier met beige schuim. Geur: zoet, chocolade, bourbon vanille, alcoholisch. Smaak: zoet, vanille, alcoholisch, melkchocolade, ietwat kruidig. Volmondig. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: zoet, iets kleverig.
4.0 Pretty and very dark brown body with a small light brown head. Aroma is vanilla, sweet caramel, cocoa, little coffee, some peanut butter. Taste is very soft and intense with dark malts, cocoa, vanilla, sweet cafe mocha and light espresso. Nice oily texture and long after taste. A very nice beer but still prefer the non-deconstructed version.
4.0 Bottle. It poured a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of vanilla, caramel, malts and minor roast. The taste was similar to the aroma with more vanilla, caramel, chocolate, malts, roast with medium carbonation and a nice chewy aftertaste. Good stuff!
4.0 Black color with a bit of mocha foam. Aroma has sweet malt and vanilla, also a bit of creme brulee. Taste follows with roasted malt, a bit astringent and dry on the finish, bittersweet chocolate flavor throughout. Full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Quite nice but it lacks the complexity of the original.
