Prairie / Evil Twin Bible Belt

Prairie / Evil Twin Bible Belt

Let’s face it – we love big, flavorful stouts. As luck would have it, our friend Jeppe at Evil Twin Brewing feels the same way. We decided to brew a beer together that took elements from our favorite stouts we each produce to come together as one beer. Bible Belt takes elements we love from Prairie Bomb! and combines them with Evil Twin Brewing’s world famous stout, Even More Jesus. The end result is a smoky, spicy stout that is sure to please the pallet.

4.1 Can at home. Has a dark brown to black colour with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate truffles, coffee, licorice, vanilla and roasted malt. Hint of chilies. Flavour of coffee beans, dark chocolate, ash, roasted malt and hints of chilies in the end. Has a silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a light to medium bitterness. Roasted and well-balanced. The vanilla and chilies is less present than expected.
3.7 Black pour with a thin quickly receding tan head ..... aroma of cocoa, pepper, dark fruits, coffee and roasted malts ..... taste is of bitter cocoa, vanilla, chocolate, dark fruits, light coffee, hot pepper mainly on the back end and into the finish .... finish has a peppery bite with bitter cocoa, vanilla and chocolate .... no smoke detected decent mouthfeel it’s silky and oily .... abv is hidden well ... decent sipper but not a world beater
4.3 Can@home, from BeerRepublic. Strong, balanced nuances of dark chocolate, cacao and chilies giving a hint of burn and somewhat sour notes. Some vanilla and roasted, buttery malts. Wide taste spectrum and long aftertaste with dark chocolate and buttery, slightly roasted malts. Strong body with low carbonation. Overall, high quality, vivid product with succeeded implementation of chili, giving more deepness into taste and just a hint of burning sensation. Great!
4.2 Pours very dark, very thin head almost no foam. Immediate aromas I’d burnt sugar and toffee. Tastes of Mexican mole. Very good beer
3.6 Unimpressive, weak aroma of hot chocolate. Medium sweet, light bitter taste with a coffee finish. Very well hidden alcohol.
4.2 pite jakiś czas temu. uzupełnienie profilu. Ocena przepisana z utpd. Miłego dnia.
3.8 Black, nice beige head. Nice aroma of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, caramel, dried plums with some chilli and smoky hints. Taste of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, smoky notes. Spicy finish. Well hidden alco, low carbonation. Tasty but expected more.
3.7 Toń niemal czarna. Piany nie ma. Aromat kakao, odrobiny sosu sojowego, lukrecji i orzechów. Ciało raczej niskie, średnio nasycone, lekko puszyste. Wykleja podniebienie i język. W smaku głównie kakao, oprócz tego kwaśna kawa, melasa, lukrecja, orzechy, karmel. Goryczka średnia. Bardzo smaczny IS, choć oczekiwałem więcej i złożoności, i ciała.
4.2 Heavy coffee
3.9 Fajny, czysty, gorzkoczekoladowy risek z nieprzesadzonym czili, baardzo sączyste pyfko, bardzo jestem pro. Alko się nie narzuca w smaku.
3.7 On tap @Jabeerwocky in Warsaw. Black color with a tick brownish and persistent foam. Nose: coffee, roast, burnt beans. Very row aroma. Mouth: oily and sticky, cherries praline, roasted filtered coffe, row cocoa, not sweet. Good
3.7 W aromacie kakao, czekolada mleczna, kawa trochę taka cienka. Barwa czarna, piana ok. W smaku średnie ciało, mało gęste. Półsłodkie, mleczna czekolada. Goryczka niska. Takie trochę mało intensywne.
4.0 Fajny zbożowy stoucik palony. Słodkawy, czekoladowo-palony, taki klasyk nieprzeciętny w żadną stronę.
3.8 Draft at #WMCBF . Poured black with no head. Thick chocolate liquorice notes dark warming lovely
4.1 12 oz can. Pours a pitch black in color and topped by a small tan layer of foam that settles in quickly to a thin film. The aroma is nice showing notes of rich, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, some Smokey chili pepper spice, and toasted vanilla over a dark roasted malt base. The flavor follows suit with notes of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and toasted vanilla up front and followed by the dark roasted malts, some chili pepper spice, and a nice, balancing, roasty bitterness on the back end. Nearly full bodied and smooth with subtle carbonation that leads to a bitter sweet and roasty dark chocolate and coffee on the finish with lingering notes of chili pepper spice long after each sip. Really good stuff with perfect balance between all the flavors with just the right amount of sweetness to go with the big roasted coffee. No signs of alcohol means this one is dangerously drinkable. Great stout as you would expect from these 2 breweries.
3.5 W zapachu wyraźne aromaty kawy, kakao, trochę wanilii, lekkie aromaty chili, alkohol dobrze ukryty. W smaku umiarkowana pełnia, trochę słodyczy, wyraźne nuty kawy, kakao, trochę wanilii, chili subtelne niestety, goryczka w kierunku średniej, lekko palona, alkohol dobrze ukryty.
3.9 Bottle at World of Beer. Black with a tan head. Chocolate, chili pepper, and vanilla aroma. Rich and chocolate sweet and fairly bitter with a bunch of booze. Full bodied. Good for sure, but not so much for the style or brewery.
4.3 0,44l can (I'm guessing). Pours jet-black with tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, spice, some licorice and dark fruits. Taste is huge, coffee, dark chocolate, coconut, vanilla, roast, spice, some alcohol is to be expected, cocoa powder. Fantastic.
4.4 Keg at Dog Eat Dog, Angel in 2015. Near black with a dense beige head. Fantastic aroma of molasses, port, dark rum, oak, coffee and liquorice. Great, full mouthfeel. Loads of roasty and dark sugar flavours with star anise, whisky and dark chocolate notes.
3.9 Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter kokos og mørk sjokolade. Fyldig. Søt. Engelsk lakris, kokos og melasse. Middels lang.
4.4 Can from the beermerchants.com on special offer. Pours a treacly dark brown with a thick tan head. Delicious aromas of coffee and chocolate. Taste is very dark, rich and complex. Coffee, dark chocolate, chilli, dried vine fruits, vanilla, and wood are all present. Very oily texture. Good bitterness, and the taste of the chilli provides a lingering heat. Delicious and complex. Highly drinkable.
4.3 Pours dark oil thick head. Atkmas brownie, olive, roasted, chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Flavors olive, coffee, brownie, chocolate, slight vanilla, slight alcohol in nose well hidden. High sweetness, slight spicy finish, light roast aftertaste. Very well done imperial stout. Just the kind of stuff I look for in my favorite imp stouts.
4.2 Inky black pour with a one finger, creamy pale caramel head that has great retention. Aroma of coffee, roast, chocolate and dried chilies, a hint of vanilla, dried dark fruit, sweet earthy chili, old toasty wood, toffee and a hint of thistle. Flavor is toast, dark caramel, slightly burnt candied dark fruit, lots of chocolate and earthy, deep coffee, dried, earthy and sweet chili, some nice, deep toast and stroopwafel. Medium to heavy body, chewy feel, light to medium carbonation. Fantastic.
4.5 12oz bottle. Pours thick and almost black, with virtually no head at all. Very smooth, very strong taste of coffee that lingers. Big and robust. Very nice.
4.0 355ml bottle from Bucket Boys 13% abv bottled 02.29.19 ? Horrendously dark looking thing - sump oil colour and consistency, brown edges that form a sinisterly dark brown head. Aroma is rich if not someone subdued - coffee dominates, dark chocolate, hint of sort of smoked chili, dark fruits/raisin. Thick full, has that slickness/oiliness that you tend to get with coffee/cocoa heavy beers, low carbonation, long finish without much of an indication of that big booze. Opens out further on the palate - get rich treacley sweetness, black coffee, bitter chocolate, sort of brownie note in there leading onto dried smoked chili and dried plum/raisin. Get a drying roast coffee bitterness with just the slightest lingering warmth on the finish. Very tasty, not overly intense, a smooth ride that hits hard... Eventually.
4.2 Pours a deep dark brown, might as well call it black. Weirdly, no head at all. Aroma is molasses and brown sugar and coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is bittersweet chocolate and coffee, maybe some black licorice and caramel. Feels very creamy and thick. Really great.
4.4 Pours very dark and fairly viscous with a dark brown head. The first thing I notice in the aroma is strong coffee and chocolate, with a bit of spicy peppers that affect the nose. There is also some moderate roast and raisiny caramel. The flavor is just as complex, first with some sweet chocolate and caramel malts, then coffee and vanilla both sharpen up and round out the flavor at the same time somehow, and finally a bit of pepper heat and mellow alcohol warming finish this out. The finish is lighter than you would expect with the amount of richness upfront, but the chilies I think help with that. Fantastic beer, perfectly balanced all the way around.
4.2 Bottle, 355 ml courtesy of Kova Shared with him, Max and Miro B. Dark brown, beige head. Coffee, roasted, chocolate, cocoa, smooth. Tad spicy. Sweet, roasty bitter finish. Medium to full bodied.
