4.4A 16.9 fl oz (500ml) bottle with a Julian bottled on date of 02516, meaning it was bottled on 25th January 2016. Poured into a Cantillon ballon glass. It poured a hazy straw golden yellow colour with a close to two finger white head that dissipates slowly and eventually settles to an extremely thin cap and leaves sparse lacing. Strong tropical fruit aromas with passion fruit, unripe mango and apricot followed by a touch of citrusy tangy lemon and mandarin plus funky goodness. Tastes lightly sour followed by lots of tropical and citrus fruitiness. Apricot, mango, peach, passion fruit, tangy mandarin, lemon and a restrained but nice barnyard funkiness on the finish. Crisp, light to medium bodied with high prickly carbonation. Overall a very well made dry hopped sour ale. Lots of tropical and citrus fruitiness in both the aroma and taste with a restrained sourness and funkiness. Would love to drink this again.

3.7Bottle bought @ Beergium. Pours hazy pale golden with a big frothy fizzy goldenish white head that quickly dissipates while leaving some sparse trace on the glass. Smell is fruity, grassy and slightly funky with crackers, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, mango, papaya, moist grass, pine needles, barnyard, minerals and lemon zest. Taste is sour, slightly bitter, fruity, slightly grassy and slightly funky. Mouthfeel is dry, tart, astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sour and bitter with crackers, lemon juice, grapefruit juice, mango, moist grass, pine needles, resin, barnyard, minerals and lemon zest. Heavier on the resinous bitterness than previous versions I’ve tried. Not as awesome as those but still pretty damn great!

3.9Bottle at home. Pours hazy yellow golden, nose is piney, pickled onion, funky, taste is juicy pine, grapefruit, tart, dry, tasty.
3.9This one was older than others in the funky series. That results in more funk, wether or not there really is moreor the hops have just started to fade I don’t know. Lightly dank pine and citrus, lots of barn and sour funk. Still huge off white head like the others. Good.
2.7Tap (Jabeerwocky, Warsaw)
Slightly enteric hint in the aroma, some bretty lemon. More lemon in the taste. Medium palate, sharp aspects from the sourness. A bit messy. The sourness is too lemony. Finish is just a brief continuation of the taste. No idea where Marduk’s range of fruits came from, this is just drowned in lemon.
3.8Bottle from Cap Tap. Pours clear gold with a transient white head and a faint fruity aroma. There is a slightly bitter slightly sour pale malt flavor woth a dry finish. Very easy to drink.
3.9Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma of mildly sour citrus. And some earth. Med body or so. Flavor is mostly light citrus sour. It’s light in flavor, but it drinks really nice.

4.1500mL bottle, pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lots of funk upfront, with floral dry hopping and a bit of citrus. Flavour is along the same lines, with moderate funk, citrus and floral dry hopping. Wonderful balance of funk and floral dry hopping. I prefer the other versions but this is certainly nice.
