Prairie Limo Tint

Prairie Limo Tint

Limo Tint is a silky smooth milk stout aged on chocolate. This beer is creamy with a touch of sweetness. We took the raw cacao that we use for Bomb! to add big complexity to this smaller beer. Limo Tint packs big notes of chocolate, carmel and oats, and is layered with a nice creaminess from the lactose. All these flavors combine to make the perfect milk stout.

3.3 Bottle (12 oz). Split 2-ways. Dark brown with a small beige head leaving little lacing. Aroma is of cocoa, lemony notes, chocolate and caramel. Taste is a bit tart with lemon, cocoa, roasted malts, a bit of caramel and hints of berries. Medium body. Moderate to medium carbonation. Limey finish. Ok and not too sweet, but not an enticing stout. A bit boring.
3.4 Bottle: Choco-alcohol aroma. Sweet chocolate flavors and medium body. I wanted this to be fuller bodied and more complex. Instead it was kind of your basic sweet stout.
3.3 Really dark brown color with light brown head. Aroma is sweet and chocolaty, a bit grainy with some dark bread crust. Taste starts balanced, roasty and a bit of lactic sweetness. Body is medium with low to medium carbonation. Not bad but it’s quite simple overall.
3.4 Bottle from Luekens Tarpon. Pours a stout brown with a tan head. Nose is chocolate, earth, roast, tar, and some vanilla. Flavor is similar with roast, tar, chocolate, vanilla, and earth. Light in body and interesting overall.
2.9 C’est un peu flotte et ça m’a déçu, y a bien un goût de chocolat mais ce n’est pas suffisant pour en faire une bière qui restera dans les annales.
3.4 Bottle at home picked up from Brewdog Online. Black / dark brown coloured pour with reddy hues and a fading tan head. Aroma is odd mix of coco powder and on the turn milk / sour milk, figs, lacto. Flavour is composed of chocolate roast, dark choc, tart fruit, grape, dry roast, slightly ashy in the finish. Palate is semi sweet with a slight tartness, medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Lingering dark choccy roast.

APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque. creamy tanned head with low retention. TASTE: roasted flavour with a faint chocolate presence. low bitterness and sweetness that doesnt last into a roasted finish. PALATE: medium-light body with moderate carbonation. no creaminess. OVERALL: a sweet stout that doesnt impress, maybe from the trip across the pond.

3.7 Bottle. It’s close to black, dark brown actually, with a small, dense, light tan head. The aroma has lots of cocoa and chocolate, with caramel, chocolate cream and some faint licorice hints. It’s very smooth on the palate, semi-dry and medium bodied. Roasted malts, hints of bonfire and with caramel, cocoa and chocolate cream. Decent bitterness from the hops. Lasting cocoa and chocolate finish. Tasteful and pleasant indeed. 151212

3.4 A colablack beer, a head is almost medium and beige. Aroma has chocolate, sweetness and some strawberries, hint of vanilla. Good and fresh aroma. Taste has chocolate and low roastiness, some lactose. Medium bodied, smooth and low carbonation. Near of the very good beer. More strenght to the body with stronger flavours and then this beer would be awesome.

2.9 This milk stout poured a deep black colour with a minimal, chocolate brown head. Scents include coffee, burnt toast, cocoa and wood. First swig was a little thin but had nice stout flavour. Nice and burnt, with a little hint of cocoa. Finish was roasty with light lingering molasses and caramel.
