Prairie Pirate Bomb!

Prairie Pirate Bomb!

Pirate bomb is our beer Prairie Bomb! aged in rum casks. The flavor from the casks helps impart more vanilla and coconut flavors to the beer while helping to add more body and smoothness to the already explosive and expressive flavors of Bomb!

4.1 On draft at Churchkey. Pours black with a tan head. Aromas of chili and chocolate. Flavors are dark chocolate fudge with a subtle chili bite.
3.9 Dark brown pour. Chocolate and coffee flavor, with rum, vanilla, and faint taste of coconut. Strong coffee flavor
3.2 Whiskey, molasses nose. Black, thin tan head. Molasses. Medium body, easy carbonation, hot. Lacks the depth and body of other Bomb variants. This is just boozy.
3.9 Pours super dark with thick, tightly bubbled brown ring of lacing. Aroma of chocolate, booze, rum, caramel. Taste is fiery boozy fudge chocolate and raisin cake with coffee bitterness and Jägermeister-like licorice. Mouthfeel super thick and syrupy. Feel like I'm drinking a liquid chocolate cake dipped in rubbing alcohol or something! Every sip is a potent explosive mouthbomb. Due to the exceptionally high ABV, I recommend that smaller people such as myself don't drink the whole bottle in one sitting; I saved part of it for later. I do want to live to see the rest of the day, after all...
4.0 Keg at Craft Beer Co Brixton in 2015. Thick, syrupy black beer, with no head. Aroma of Rich dark chocolate (genuine stuff), cocoa, and dark rum. Sweeter chocolate flavour, with some molasses, and coffee. Finish was Warm alcohol, dark fruit, dates, and bitter espresso.
3.8 The Aromas are cocoa, roast and Spice. I think I'm drinking this a little too cold. I had a few drops left in the bottle that we're better than what I poured into the glass. Flavors are well-balanced sweet but not overly, roast spice but also a bit of mineral that doesn't quite work. Good body carbonation and slightly boozy finish. Nice beer.
3.9 Aromas of straight rubbing alcohol, harsh liquor, rum, chocolate, oak, vanilla, spiced rum, faint chilies, toffee, aged wort syrup and coffee. Taste is harsh and unforgiving booze, rum, liquor, alcohol heat, rubbing alcohol, oak, barrel wood, sawdust, corkscrew and vanilla upfront. Mid palate sneaks out flavors of chocolate, cocoa nibs, cacao, dark chocolate syrup, toffee, wort syrup, molasses, spices, licorice, figs, raisins and coffee. Overall, so much heat on it right now, sort of masks a lot of flavor. Still, really great. Would be interested in seeing how this changes through age.
4.3 Pours thick black with a one finger, tan head. Aroma is cocoa, coffee, rum and brown sugar. Taste is chocolate and brown sugar, moving to coffee, vanilla and light pepper. Finish is chocolate, coffee and rum. A great stout.
3.5 Nowa warka pite jakiś czas temu. uzupełnienie profilu. Ocena przepisana z utpd. Miłego dnia.
4.1 12 ounce bottle shared. The beer is a dark brown with a thin head of khaki foam. Spicy pepper aroma, with a dusty chocolate and fudge taste. Cinnamon and coffee all over the place. Bigger body and medium carbonation.
3.6 Barwa czarna, piana mała. Aromat papryczek, kawy, czekolady. W smaku kawa, czekolada, karmel. Finisz ostro papryczkowy. Fajne pifko.
Supergott. Helt klart en av favoriterna från Prairie.
2.6 Bottle from Systembolaget Sweden. No head and very dark brown color. Aroma of coffey and rätt Swede. Sweet chocolate and vanilla with a smooth coffey. Balanced bitterness but only s medium body for such strong Beer.
4.9 Aroma of sweet chocolate, rum, licorice, vanilla, faint coconut.Taste of chocolate, rum barrel, roasted malts, nuts, dark fruits, lots of chili, licorice ,vanilla and faint coffee.a little to much chili in aftertaste. Full and thick body, complex, great.
4.1 Bottle shared by alexsdad06 during bomb horizontal bomb tasting. Pour opaque black with minimal tan head. Nose roasted malt, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, and light barrel. Taste like base bomb with coconut and vanilla. Light rum barrel.
3.6 No jednak nie znoszę, kiedy pikantna przyprawa przykrywa wysoki alkohol. W smaku chilli nadobecne, kładą to piwo, spłaszczają, przesypały się.
4.3 Prairie Pirate Bomb! Stout - Imperial 849418 Lukt: Lakris, sjokolade, vanilje, svak alco. Utseende: Sort. Skum/kullsyre: Tynt skum. Smak: Kaffe, søtlig karamell, lakris, sjokolde, vanilje, Chilli. Hvor: Cardinal Stavanger MI2. Medium: Flaske@330ml, ABV@15%, Når@15.10.2018.

4.1 Bottle from Healthy Spirits Castro. Black color, beige head. Bitter taste with roasted malts, nuts, dark fruits, chili, rum, licorice and coffee. Bitter finish with roasted malts, nuts, dark fruits, rum, chili, licorice, coffee and bread. Exquisite imperial stout.
4.2 Butelka. Gorzka czekolada bucha z butelki, praliny, wanilia. Intensywność średnia do wysokiej. W smaku słodkie, potem dużo papryczek i pikantności. Wanilia, ale i delikatny rum w tle. Pełne, slodkie. Gdyby nie. te papryczki...

3.9 Pours a pitch black coloration with almost no head at all, just a thin layer of lacing on top which disappears quickly, leaving a black hole in the glass. Smells of roasted malt and coffee, cocoa and vanilla, with hints of chili and a light, musty earthiness. Once the beer warms, swirling also brings out a light floral, soapy green pepper note that is not entirely pleasant. Taste is quite complex, yet well-balanced, with roasted malt, chocolate and coffee dominating. Additional notes of vanilla, chili, licorice, coconut and a certain woody, musty earthiness. Hints of green pepper and booze as well. Finishes with a light bitterness and chili/green pepper note in the aftertaste. Thick mouthfeel with a rich body and low carbonation. This starts out nice enough, but develops more and more of a boozy green pepper note as it sits/warms. Maybe it's just not suitable for aging, no idea how old this bottle is, but the rum barrel really seems to add little of value to Bomb!, which I vastly prefer, to be honest.
4.4 Bottle. Pitch black beer with small to average beige head. Intense aroma of dark chocolate, vanilla, rum, chili, light cocoa, molasses, cane sugar. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium+ bitter, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, vanilla, rum, molasses, light cocoa, lots of chili, with notes of coffee. Sweet and spicy finish with notes of chocolate, chili. Body is close to full, texture is oily, carbonation is average. Very complex, very tasty, quite spicy, but still great version of Bomb.
4.2 Z butelki aromat zapowiadał się rewelacyjnie. Pralinki z rumem i wanilią + kakao, no cudne połączenie.
Czekolada, kawa i kakao gładzą podniebienie a chilli pali dosyć konkretnie. Piwo takie jaki lubię, pyszne. 8/4/9/5/18
3.8 Bottle 2017. Classy stout. Everything as on label - rum barrel, choclate, vanilla, but chillies are too dominating. Sweet and dense, but somehow not consistent.
3.8 Aroma: cocoa, chocolate, delicate rum notes - sweet, coconut, without pungent rum note. Taste: sweet, without pungent rum note. Beer is nicely balanced. Delicate carbonation and head.
4.2 Aromat kakao, wanilii, czekolady, w mniejszym stopniu papryczki i beczka. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta. Piana beżowa, umiarkowana. Smak wyraźnie słodki, słodowy z czekoladą, kakao, kawą i papryczkami. Jest też wanilia i beczka. Gęsta i oleista konsystencja. Goryczka mimo papryczek przyjemna. Pełnia wysoka, wysycenie umiarkowane i alkoholowo- papryczkowa końcówka. Bardzo dobre.
4.3 Bottle from Prairie Dawg membership. Darkest brown pour with a medium tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, rum, vanilla, coffee and cinnamon. Sweet malt and chocolate flavor giving way to rum, coffee and slight chili pepper before a rum barrel finish.
4.2 Shared from bottle at / from Maakun’s. Black with tan head. Big sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, creamy chocolate, vanilla, buttery, nutty and poopy coffee, chilli. Big sweet and bitter, also big chilli spiciness. Full body, sticky sweet goop with soft carbonation.
