4.1Bottle@home after adding hops to "black foot". Small head straw quite haze. Intense yeasty floral fruity notes. Pearch pineapple. Pure tropical. Is this the farmhouse blend job!!? Sour dry finish. Very complex. Very pleasant sour brew.
4.1Bottle. Aroma is citrus, dairy, herbal, bit of leather. Taste is great, nice initial grapefruit sharpness, then cuvee de ranke style weirdness, creamy, almost gueuze like sourness that lasts for a little bit then fades, bubblegum. Really nice.
4.3Bottle poured into tulip. Pours milky golden with small thin white head. Aromas of pineapple, bubblegum, mango, and barnyard funk. Flavors are the same plus some sour pear and oaky goodness. Finishes dry, tart, and funky. Delicious
3.9Bottle @ Christers. Pours ligght yellow with a creamy white head. Aroma of light sourness, light malt, yeast, brett, whitewine, grapes, light citrus. Flavor is light sour, yeast, brett, spice, white wine, oak, grapes, citrus, lemonpeel. Medium body, lively carbonation, dry light bitter finish. Refreshing. 170215
3.8Bottle, 8.5%. Clear yellow with medium white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, brett, little lemon, oak and a littl efunky. Flavour is malt, fruit, brett, yeast, spices, notes of lemon, oak, hop, little sweet, little dry, little acid and medium bitter.
3.9Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are white wine, brett, wood, malt, grass, fruits and hops. Nice and has a light sour finish.
4.0Pours into a teku showing a clear honey yellow with half a finger of clean white foam.
The nose shows a lot of round sweet malts with noticeable soft lemon zest background. Hints of pineapple also.
The palate is medium carbonated and very light bodied. First impression shows a lot of nice lemon zest and a strong farmhouse background. The mid palate reveals a few more citrus flavors including a bit of grapefruit. Very light bitterness on the finish. Simple & refreshing.
3.6Bottle @ beer tasting on 1/31/2015. Pours hazy light golden in color with minimal bubbly effervescent head. Aroma is tart citrus, yeasty funk, and hints of wood. Medium body, nice carbonation with some trub-like particulate. Taste is lemon, white grape, oak and funky yeast elements nicely balanced. Very drinkable saison and the barrel aging adds a nice dimension.
3.3500ml bottle. Slightly hazy, golden colour with small to average, thick, frothy to cremay, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Dry, tart-ish, yeasty aroma, notes of barnyard funk, piss, sherbet, vinegar, hints of oak. Taste is minimally tart, dry, slightly citrusy hoppy, yeasty, fruity, some lemon, apple, a touch of vinegar; relatively light body, almost a bit watery. Too clean, sober, engineer’d.
3.7750 ml bottle shared by Roger - thanks again! Pours a hazy, dull yellowish old gold with a bubbly white ring for a head. Visible yeast floaters throughout, some of which were bright orange. Aroma of wheat, lemon, pear, sourdough, straw, minerals, and lactic funk. Tart and funky. The flavor is less tart, and more vinous, citrusy, and weighty. Medium-bodied, heavier than expected, with a smooth, fruity mouthfeel and low carbonation. Another good, interesting saison from Prairie.
3.4[6940-20141129] Bottle. Mild grainy yeast aroma. Hazy, pale yellow tan body with a quick foamy white head. Light toasted yeast flavour. Medium body is a little soured. Good. (7/4/7/3/13) 3.4

3.8Poured from bottle, pours a clear bright gold with lots of carvonation bubbles and a thin white head, aroma has lots of funkiness with a lot of white wine and oak notes coming through, flavor has a light tart front end with a fruity finish with a touch of oak dryness, fresh and bright, nice stuff, also a shelf turd around here so that’s pretty awesome.

Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate sweet tarts, citrus, and light lemon. It pours a hazy dull gold with a small white head that quickly fades to a minimal film outlined by a very fine ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of tropical fruit and citrus. The finish has light-moderate lemon/orange peel, light florals, oak, faint apple, and a touch of sweet tarts. It’s light bodied with light carbonation.
3.4Bottle: Thanks, Jeff. Hazy, bright straw & pear colored. Kind of yellow. Soapy white head that fizzes out into a super thin collar in just moments. Aroma of lemon, green apple, farmhouse must, light oak, vinous white grape, & some damp bales of hay. Flavor is more on the vinous side of things with a strong white grape wine-like essence & some semi-acidic, tannic oak notes that flow through with a slight bit of boozy heat. Lighter notes of grape, lemon, lacto yeast, & mild hay. White wine finish with some oaky dryness.
4.1Rich very hazy pure golden coloured body with almost a ghostly white glow and a thin, single centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of sour grapes, yeast, brett, oak, light hops, grass, hay and some light sugars. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong oak and dry flavours at first with a bit of yeast, grass and herbs, but the brett and slightly sour notes come through. Aftertaste shows a relatively mild complexity but no deep and harsh flavours are evident at all - this is refined and natural, in a good way that doesn’t need to overcompensate. Overall, a complex and rewarding beer that doesn’t go above and beyond like most American beers try for. Truly a beer that would make purists happy and one that hits all the high notes without blowing away IBU, ABV or kitch (you name the newest beer trend here) value. If this were made in Belgium, the brewers and patrons would both be happy. However, it is made in the Middle of Oklahoma and the whole of America can be happy collectively. I sampled this 50 cL tall (prarie-styled) bottle purchased from Small Batch Liqours in Denver, Colorado on 08-June-2014 for US$8,99 sampled at home in Washington on 28-December-2014.
4.324oz bottle. 18 months old. Poured very clear light gold. No head to speak of. Aroma reveals tropical fruit, especially pineapple. Some apple esters and minerals. Plenty of funky Brett in the nose as well. Hopping is light and floral. Light malt character takes a back seat to hops and yeast. Tastes medium tart and dry. Lightly bitter finish. Medium carbonation. Very drinkable, but best if shared
3.9Bottle I picked up in Denver over Thanksgiving. Quite light, bright yellow, a little cloudy. Medium head. Lively aroma, lemon, lemon peel, pepper. Taste is a little sour and a little bitter. A really nice saison.
3.9Bottle from Chuck’s.
I’m not quite sure why I paid $13.99 for a 500ml bottle, but I get stupid when I get inside the door at Chucks (even if I’m not drinking) and somehow had this in my .rar want-to-try category -- so there we are.
Cloud straw yellow pour, long-lived white head. Leathery brett meets dry chardonnay nose with heavy oak recalls Russian River. Flavor is a bit tart but definitely well in saison territory rather than sour ale. Brett-driven, again plenty of oak. Esters way in the background. A bit of spice. Quite dry. Mellow smooth carbonation, a little bit oily. I’m glad to have tried it, but unless the prices drop into single figures for 500 ml I’m unlikely to repeat the experience.
tl;dr summary Russian River light--not that that’s a bad thing!
3.7[ Bottle ][ 1/3 of 50cl ][ Tasting ][ ][ Tulip ][ 11.29.14 ]
Murky gold, shimmering with large bubbled white ring, wispy cap. Oily ester nose, grassy with light banana, Brighter mineral front palate, sticky early with a dry end, sparkly mid, light papery bitterness in the grassy finish. Too sweet early and finish, champagne-like in body and profile, bitterness is very balanced though.

3.8Bottle. Pours yellow with a big quickly receding creamy head. Aroma is tart yeasty, with wooden barrels, brett and peppery farmhouse notes, as well as some sweet pale malts with sambucus. Medium body with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart and sour, with lots of funk and bretty musty earth, sweet notes of wood, floral notes of lavender, perfume and lemon peel. Layered and quite distinctive sourness, with a lingering dry earthy finish.
3.8Bottle to glass. Pours a mostly clear pale yellow color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is tart, light lemon, light oak. Flavor is moderately sour, slight spicy yeast, characteristic saison kick. Light in body with a nice lingering tartness. Another solid offering from Prairie.
3.9Bottle at RBSDG at the Dad Pad. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Soft musk and a bit of acid on the nose. Tart and lively, medium bodied with bright acid. Moves into a soft musky finish, lingering acid and tartness. Lovely.
3.8Bouteille 50cl, no BB.
3.7Bottled. Yellow coloured. Unclear. Dense off white head. ARoma. Sweetness, wood, oak, citrus. Flavour. Citrus, sourness, wood, oak. spice. MEdium to full bodied. Ends citric and sour with a yeasty touch
