3.5 Wazig goudblond bier met wit schuim. Geur: mout, licht hoppig, regenwater, licht kruidig. Smaak: hopbitter, hars, aards, wat noterig, licht kruidig. Goede koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: droog bitter.
3.5 33cl bottle from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy, discounted because expired in March. Pours medium transparency dark gold with medium white foam, fine. Aroma is grainy, honey, caramel, flowery. Body is slightly dense with good carbonation. Taste is sweet with some bitterness, remaining in particular in the finish, which is relatively long.
3.6 Appearance is amber, clear, a 1-2 finger white head. Aroma- hops, orange hints, fruit, wheaty malt. Taste- bitter hops, spicy hints, malt backbone, fairly full mouthfeel.
2.8 good but not great. bit hazy but i don't view that as a bad thing. nice head retention
3.8 Good Belgian Blonde, nice and fresh, strong aroma and flavors. A good beer to enjoy.
3.8 Robe blonde, fine mousse. Beau nez sur le houlbon, les agrumes, pointe de malt. Bouche fraîche et fruitée, fine bulle , belle finale sur l’amertume . Une très belle bière de soif, fraîche et équilibrée.
3.7 Draft. Amber gold pour. Very nice crisp and refreshing, Fruit and some spice. Good stuff.
3.7 Hazy dark golden with a big lasting head. Aroma is fruity citrus, ripe banana and spice. Nicely balanced refreshing taste
3.7 F: huge, almost white, good retention. C: pale gold, hazy. A: malty, grassy, bit of floral, fruity, bit of spicy, yeast. T: malty, peppery, fruity, orange peels, herbal, citrus, dry on the palate, medium body, medium carbonation, very good balanced, enjoyed, Belgium tick #1100, 33cl bottle from Carrefour market – St. Michel @ Etterbeek, Brussels.
4.1 Faintly hazed golden beer with lush, sticky white foam. Beer smells sweet and tangy, like ground up orange-flavored sweet tarts, restrained spicy phenols, light caramel-malty core beneath. Off-dry and bittersweet taste, orange-creamsicle with a honey-malty center, herbal bitterness building to a firm smack carried on lively carbonation. Lingering spicy bitterness in finish. Really a superb balance here, and layers of complexity with the compelling herbal-fruity-spicy hop flavor and real malt taste, with fuller body than most Belgian blondes. Maybe not as sexy as other Proef/Préaris beers, but more people should be talking about it.
4.0 Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Hazy pale straw coloured with a huge white head of foam. It has a sharp citrus and herbal fruity flavour with earthy and slight barnyard notes followed malt and more citrus on the finish. Very good.
4.1 hazy golden colour, medium sized dense (off-)white head; aroma of orange zest, bread, some grassy and floral notes, as well as coriander; taste is the same with honey and fruity notes; bitter aftertaste; excellent choice for 2.28 EUR
3.3 Bottle. Hazy golden body with yeast flecks floating beneath a thin white head. Lively fizz. Good lacing. Aroma of hay and salted orange. Flavour of lemon and coriander seeds. Medium body with a light, fizzy mouthfeel. Just ok.
3.5 Botella @’t Brugs Beertje, Brujas 02/12/16 BBD:14/12/17 Color amarillo, sabor cítrico, final espaciado, cuerpo ligero.
3.7 bottle @ home clear pale, white head yellow fruit, caramel, honey, ambrosoli candy carbonated, ambrosoli candy (honey) with a hint of hops, light herbaceous aftertaste
3.7 A light yellow beer, a head is quite big and white. Aroma has strong fruitness and fresh, esters from yeast, mandarin, some tropical notes. Taste has fruitness, spicyness, mandarin, quite dry, also some bitterness. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. Nice, aromatic and fruitful beer.
3.5 750ml bottle. Slightly hazy yellow orange body. Foamy head. Kind of buttery, grainy, piny saison yeast. Pils-ish golden malts. The more I sip at it, the more i get a buttery pils tone. Leans into the sweetness. A pinch oxidized. Unique.
3.9 0.33l bottle. Hazy golden body, thick and lasting white head. Aroma of sweet bread, orange zest, coriander and lemon zest. Taste of bread, lemon zest, orange zest, pepper, earth and floral hops. A bit funky but mostly bitter. I like it. To be honest I find the average score a bit too low.
3.3 330ml bottle @ Man in the moon, Stockholm. Hazy golden body with a medium head. Sweet fruits, banana, some hay. Lacks the spicy notes from a saison imo.
3.6 Bottle @ Filosoof, Maldegem. Hazy golden colour, white foam. Rather bitter and dry beer. Easy drinkable, balance is ok. Good.
2.8 cloudy yellow, fluffy offwhite head. aroma is slightly dusty, slightly wild yeasty, fruity as in banana, a little bit weird for a blonde, but then ratebeer says saison, that would explain). flavor is banana, wine gums, malts, spices,
3.5 Nez: Herbacé, levure Bouche: Herbacée, citron, épicée, légère amertume, sécheresse Du classique mais bien fait et rafraîchissant
3.5 Hazy blonde with a white pur head such whipped cream. Aromas of malt, lemon, toffy, citrus hop. The taste is bittersweet, malt-white bread, floral and citrus hop for a bitterness well present, notes of spiuces, acacia and a dry finale. To taste fresh no cold.
3.4 Bottle, 33cL. @L’Estaminet, Pouançay, France. A golden pale yellow opaque beer ; light bubbly (small bubbles) ; big white foamy head ; good retention and lacing. Fruits (citrus, lemon), herbs, floral, biscuit. Light sweet, light to medium dry refreshing bitter. Light to medium body, thin texture, average carbonation, dry fruity bitter finish. Overall, a pleasant belgian saison ; nice herbal floral bitterness. I enjoyed the fruity hoppy flavor but it lacks of body to send me to heaven.
3.2 from Au Grain d’Orge - hazy blond beer under a solid creamy white foam; nice lace; bready aroma with notes of yellow fruits; creamy palate, fairly sweet; aftertaste of coriander, yellow fruits and bread
3.3 Bouteille: Golden, almost clear, lively carbonation, small loose white head; dryish hoppy-yeasty nose, some fruits detectable; dryish - again - bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, crisp MF; lingering dry hoppy and fruity-yeasty finish. Yes, O.K. …
3.0 Arômes peu prononcés, masqués par une amertume légère et agréable. Un peu épaisse au palais
3.8 Bottle from Taniguchi. Spicy, tart nose, grapefruit, lemon, some honey, yeasty spice. Deep gold with orange and a huge head. Crisp, hoppy flavor, bread, some biscuit and honey, grass, citrus, very bitter. Great. Reminds me of XX Bitter.
3.5 Donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is hoppig bitter en fruitig, licht zoet met iets van bessen. Helaas iets te waterig om een echt goede score te krijgen.
3.4 Tasted in Ghent a few months ago but apparently forgot to enter my rating; as Préaris Blond, but apparently also marketed as a saison, in that case not to be confused with a small batch Préaris Saison that was made later to a different recipe. Hazy golden beer under a creamy, off-white, lacing head; aroma of apple, grass, some peach, white bread; soft estery onset, smooth and quite crisp, gooseberry and peach fruitiness, soft bready pale malt sweetishness, lean body, medium dry finish with some herbal hop bitterishness. Very quaffable but not really too remarkable either in view of the hundreds of similar beers populating this country.
