2.70,5 l Flasche.
3.3From backlog. 0,5 litre Bottle at Hotel Arena, Bremerhaven. Labeled AS König Ludwig. Brown with offwhite head. Malts, hops, Wheat, banana.
3.5Pretty good dark wheat beer. Nothing super special, but fairly well made, tastes a bit like it’s cloudy. D&S dresden
2.5Douce en bouche, on sent bien le froment. Caractère léger. Découverte du côté de l'ammersee en terrasse. Noisette
2.9Bottle at Japanese Restaurant in St. Pauli - as König Ludwig Weissbier Dunkel - light brown color, beige head. malty, bit watery. medium sweet. low carbonation. bit sticky. not a good dark Weizen.
3.4Dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma of orange, yeast, caramel and clove. Taste is sweet with some bitternes. Mouthfeel is soft.
3.8Pours hazy ruddy brown with yellowish head. Scent is cloves, fruit, and malts. Taste is similar. Very well balanced. I really like this beer.
3.5Draft at Brauhaus Schmitz in Philadelphia, labelled as "Konig Ludwig Weissbier Dunkel". Pours cloudy light brown with a pillowy, 3-finger white head. Aromas of banana esters, nutty malt and yeast. Maybe some clove too. Body is light, maybe a touch of oil. Lightly dry finish. Flavor is nutty, mixed with banana. Some bready yeast and black pepper as well.
3.4Bottle from Super Liquor IV in Ann Arbor. Aroma is yeast, banana, roasted malt, wheat, fruity, caramel, earthy hop, decent. Appearance is reddish brown, light tan head, hazy. Taste is fruity, banana, yeast, wheat, roast, earthy hop, dry, the flavor falls off very quickly though. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, wheat banana yeast dry aftertaste. Overall, it's not that I don't like it, but I feel like this flavor should be around longer and it finishes too quickly. That said, it's very crushable.
3.3Hazy brown colour, white head. Aroma of wheat, caramel, grain, light spices. Dry sweet taste, light bitterness in finish. Thin body and average carbonation.
3.1500ml bottle (thanks Viil). Murky brown color. Small size, beige head, stays. Banana, bready, sweet, sourish and grainy in aroma. Sweet, caramel, grainy, banana, bit yeasty in taste. Banana, sweet, caramel in aftertaste. Bit too sweet. Light body. Goes down easy. Solid brew.
3.7The dark side of what I think is one of the best Weizen available. Bit less wheaty, more malty elements, after all some real good brew!
3.5Flasche im Hackendahl in Berlin-Mitte.
Dunkles Bernstein, angemessener Schaum.
Aroma: Banane, Hefe, Malz, Getreide.
Geschmack: Banane, Malz, Hefe, Karamell.
2.8Dunkler spritziger, wenig süßer Antrunk. Mild bananig, weiche Herbe, süffig. Steigende Intensität, die Hefigkeit sinkt allerdings. Eher wässriger Nachhall. Nett. 9/9/8/8/9/8
2.9Bottle. Dark amber, nice head. Aroma of bananas, some caramel. In taste little bit spicy, some bananas and caramel. Ok.
2.9Bottle. Dark orange with a decent head. Aroma and taste are full-on bananas and yeast. Malty and rather sweet. Medium carbonation and almost watery. Very drinkable. Ordinary Dunkelweizen.
3.0500 ml in Weißbier glass. Medium brown colour, medium white head. Ordinary Weizenbier aroma, but with a bit more roasted malt and dominant yeast. Standard Weizenbier taste, but balanced. Lively carbonated and medium body. Malty and yeasty finish. Overall, almost no difference to a bright Weizenbier.
3.1Dark cola color, almost opaque. Miserable foam and low carbonation. Aroma is grainy, bonfire, pleasant. The taste is roasted bred, chocolate, kvass, banana. The palate is bit spicy, a bit spitits. Nice, but the palate is gitting worse and worse with each spill.
3.2bottle @ senior 60th birthsday. Appearance: hazy light brown with good off-white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: grain, bread, wheat caramel and slightly floral and banana notes. palette: medium malty aroma, medium to light sparkling carbonation, medium body, average to notable sweetness, somewhat balanced by a medium bitterness, medium duration and a watery texture. Overall: ok mild dunkelweizen
3.1Copenhagen 28/1 2017. 50cl bottle from Meny. Bought as "König Ludwig Weissbier Dunkel". Some heraldic lions fighting over a shield and something I assume is the brewery on the label. Pours hazy maroon - not that Dunkel actually - with thick dense white head. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of dense foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Quite beautiful. Aroma is banana and lemonade with roasted malts in the background. Tart sour notes. Soft carbonation and slightly thick plate. Flavor is regrettably thin. Sweet lemonade and banana followed by tart fruity sourness. Bit watered down. Solid but a bit boring. And it could use some intensity in the flavor.
3.3Hazy amber color with beige head. Aroma has mostly toasted grains and overripe banana. Taste starts on the sweet side with banana and a touch of caramel. Gets slightly boozy on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Not bad but it’s not one of the better examples of a dunkelweizen.
3.1Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - dark amber to brown pour with a off-white head. Medium sweet and light toasted malty and wheaty aroma and taste, yeast, some caramel and light cocoa, some nice banana notes into the finish.

Bottle 0.5l. Hazy deep ochre body, medium white head. Aroma of wheat, caramel, bubble gum, touch of bananas. Taste is neutral with hint of sour-sweet. Wheat, caramel. Medium body and carbonation.
Unfortunately a bit watery, but acceptable.
3.2Bottle 0.5l. Hazy, amber to brown colored. AROMA- honey, wheat, caramel, yeasty. FLAVOR- slightly sweet, caramel, wheat. Medium bodied.
Average one.
3.0Bottle at Gasthof Krone, Fussen (as König Ludwig Weissbier Dunkel). Served at ceramic Stein glass. Aroma of banana and caramel. Sweet, yeast, malty, banana flavors, a bit bland. Light-medium bodied. Not as good as König Ludwig Weissbier , but still OK.
3.250cl can in Germany. Hazy appearance. Copper to brown color. Light sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body. Aroma is malt, banana, clove, roasted.
3.00.5l bottle as "könig ludwig weissbier dunkel", a part of bavarian beer set, marktkauf/edeka, bb 20.05.2016
