Can from Hoptimism at Bourne Woods. Black colour with a thick brown head. Aroma and taste are malty caramel vanilla or Tonka. Big smooth and boozy. .
bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma color cappuccino media grana evanescente, colore nero, al naso è potente subito cannella poi cacao caffè caramello vaniglia Vov marshmallow, in bocca è ancora più potente cannella Vov caramello cioccolato fondente caffè frutta secca vaniglia, corpo strutturato, alcool ben presente, carbonazione piatta, oily, molto dolce compensato da un amaro accentuato. Un dessert liquido, la cannella si fa sentire con prepotenza ma se la sorseggi con calma è uno spettacolo. Un’ottima birra come Pühaste sa fare. c. Fatti una birra 06.05.22
Bottle. Black body under a small beige head. Aroma has dark, light roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, plenty of cinnamon and warming alcohol. Taste is sweet, dark malt, brown sugar, dry fruit, warming alcohol, spices and lots of cinnamon as well. The cinnamon level is basically way out of balance, but somehow it seems to work out fine after a few more sips. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste of sweet malt, cinnamon and alcohol.

Black, tight tan head. Rich roasty aroma, green cardamom, some cinnamon, a bit of spirit. Full palate, smooth, gentle carbonation. Rich dark chocolatey roast, cocoa-powdered truffle, gentle sweet spicing. Less spirity than I expected from the aroma, but alas a bit sweet and heavy.

First sniff is rich sweet roasty dessert stout aroma, coconut jumps out early, but cinnamon buns take over, though the coconuts never leave. Full palate, smooth, not heavy, pleasant carbonation. Very sweet taste, burnt roast, some cinnamon dryness and burnt roast. A touch harsh, but the alcohol slips past the bouncers having dressed up as three children wearing a trenchcoat.
Dåse. Kulsort olieret øl med flot mokkafarvet skumhoved. Duft af let kokos, karamel. Smagen er sødlig ingefær. Brunkage. Nellike er der også. Sindsyg lækker pastry.
Jak smoła. Z elegancką, brązową pianą. Piękna, drobno bąbelkowa struktura z sykiem szybko opada. Jek na ten styl pozostaje jednak całkiem nie mała tafla. A jednak – już tylko atol.
Aromat likierowo marcepanowy, Obłędny zapach. Daleko w tle wanilia i cynamon.
Ciut za dużo gazu. Alkohol wyczuwalny, akceptowalny. Słodycz równoważy się z goryczą i palonością. W smaku tonka też dominuje pozostałe przyprawy. Piwo nie jest mocno ciężkie. W tym aspekcie taki średniak.
Ogólnie bardzo dobre.
From tap at Van Ouds, black beer, almost no head. Aroma is "kapitein koek", sweet, raisins, malt, chocolate. Taste is bitter, cocoa, raisins, sweet, spices, cinnamon, vanilla. Very nice
W aromacie cynamon, trochę tonki i słodkiej czekolady. Barwa czarna, drobna, beżowa piana. W smaku gęste, słodkie, cynamonowe, waniliowe. Goryczka niska, alkohol dobrze ukryty. Trochę przecynamonowane ale ogólnie smaczne.
Czarne, ze średnio trwałą, brązową pianką. Zapach intensywny, ewidentnie tonkowy, cynamonowy, do tego lody czekoladowe, trochę wanilii. W smaku słodziaszek, tonka dominuje, do tego mleczna czekolada, cynamon, wanilia, w kontrze całkiem wyraźna, alkoholowo-palona goryczka, oleiste, średnie co2.

Opaque colour, brown head. Aroma has tonka beans and gingerbread with toasted malts. Full-bodied. Gingerbread rides over the toasted base, it is cinnamon and tonka beans. Alcohol is evident. Hints of licorice lurking. A bit too Christmasy ...
Niestety z laktozą, stety - nie bardzo czuć. Bardzo przyjemna gorzko-kwaśna kawa podlana wanilią i posypana cynamonem. Do tego pierniki, śliwki i likier. Mimo pozornie słodkich składników całość ma przyjemnie wytrawny charakter i nieźle grzeje w przełyk. Powiedziałbym, że to taka petarda w stylu smaków świątecznych.

33cl Fles van De Laat. Zwarte kleur, bruine kraag. Veel tonka in de geur, vanille, zoet, roggebrood, chocolade, cacao, wat kaneel, meer tonka, licht bitter, iets gebrand. Volle body. Lekker, maar wat minder complex dan bv een Willy Tonka van de Moersleutel.
Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, chocolate, tonka beans, vanilla, light to medium sweet, medium bitter. Full body, malty chocolate bitter sweet finish with tonka and vanilla and light warming alcohol notes. Good.
From a 330ml bottle on 8/11/2021. Pours close to black with barely any head. Smells malty with dark chocolate, caramel and a touch of vanilla. Tastes a tick over medium sweet up front, but a touch short of dessertish, with ore dark chocolate, caramel and vanilla, with a good dash of brown sugar, some toffee and marzipan, aaawhich is met by a fairly firm, slightly roasty bitterness. Warming at the end, it feels every bit of the 12.5%. The palate is thick and viscous, the carbonation softish. An excellent and complex big sipper.

Roasted malty with dark fruits, dark chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla and licorice, sweet, full body with an oily texture. The finish is bitter.
Bottled 330ml. -from Ambasada Zagreb. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, chocolate and cinnamon in the nose. Roasted malt, light burnt touch, cinnamon and noticable alcohol with light vanilla and tonka in the finish.

pitch black,dark brown head. One of the darkest imp stouts i ever poured.
Aroma is very sweet, but does have notes of roasted malts as well as a lot of cake frosting like notes. aroma is like sweet brown dessert cake, and pastry in general. I must say i'm not a fan of this kind of aroma.
flavor is roasted malts, chocolate, cake frosting (but not at all as intense as in the aroma) end is more roasted malts, overall the flavor is pretty awesome, i must admit, even if it's not my style. well blended and quite complex. The alc. is extraordinarily well hidden.
Bottle.Pitch black colour with off brown head.Aroma of coffee brown cake and bourbon nice slight spicy with hint of cinnamon and vanilla.
Bottle. Black with a brown head that doesn't last. Aroma of mocha, cinnamon, buns. Seems more complex and more intense upon a taste yet not heavy with elements having room for themselves. Sweet, sweeter than it seems at first with bread, chocolate brioche, Indian sweetmeats including spices beyond cinnamon and vanilla (like cardamon and mace), hints of berries and roses. Slick with low carbonation. Intriguing, stylish stuff.

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours pitch black, dense, with close to no foam. Aroma is milk chocolate, lots of vanilla and cinnamon, caramel and molasses, figs. Body is thick with nice small tickling carbonation. Taste is pretty sweet, with some underlying roasty bitterness. Final is long and warm, embracing.
Bottle 33 cl, poured into a tulip glass. Pours pitch black with a medium but fading brown head and an aroma of tonka beans, cinnamon, cream, chocolate, cloves, maple syrup and dates. The taste is full on sweet with a medium to full body, easy carbonation and a long lasting sticky sweet finish

Black, low, quickly dissapearing, brown head.
Sweet chocolate, milk, hops.
Very sweet, very bitter, very good.
21.5.2021: 330 ml bottle at home, 12.5% ABV, bb. 19.3.2021, bought at hops & malt, Bregenz. Pours a thick very dark mahogany with hardly any light brown head. The aroma is heavy on the spices - lots of tonka beans and lots of cinnamon whereas the vanilla is less dominant - Christmas spices, some underlying sweet roasted malt, molasses, chocolate. Full body with a soft but somehow tingly carbonation, a medium to medium-heavy sweetness and a light to medium roasty bitterness. The flavor starts with sweet roasted malt, molasses, chocolate, brown sugar and hints of dark fruits followed by loads of spices, lots of cinnamon, tonka beans and light burnt notes. Finishes with a very light residual sweetness, a light to medium roasty bitterness along more spices, cinnamon and a light warming feeling. Overall quiet sweet and heavy on the spices but the beer dries out a bit towards the finish with a light roasty burnt touch which keeps it balanced.
