3.4 Can from ASDA. Medium amber, small foamy head . Sweet, malty aroma. More malts in the taste. Smooth, slick.
3.4 Can pours out apricot color topped with a white head. Nose is sweet rich malts and some citrus hops. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts bread and citrus hops.
3.1 Can - dirty dark orange with thick tight head. Good citrus aroma. Good mouthfeel. Strong citrus tasting - good finish.
3.4 17-11-19 - A pint from the tap at Biere Atelier. Pours a dark amber colour with a white head. Aromas of citrus & malt. Tastes of citrus, hints of rye. decent level of bitterness & a medium body. 13-07-21 - 500ml bottle, as above, enjoyable
3.5 Cloudy orange colour, tall airy head. Aroma: Malt, citrus fruit, esters, light ale yeast. Similar taste. Medium bitterness. Decent.
3.5 Deep amber, cloudy, medium head and light carbonation. Pleasant aroma of varnished wood, a wheel barrows worth of malt and a miners after work party. The unique rye flavour is unmissable with the beer delivering a heady balance of malt, booze, cured oranges and bitterness. I liked it.
2.8 31/VII/19 - on tap @ The Rake (London), BB: n/a - (2019-1118) Thanks to Thomas M. and Rian D. for sharing today’s beers! Clear orange beer, dense creamy off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, grains, dow fodder, some milk chocolate, caramel notes, hint of vanilla. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very soapy, bubble gum, unpleasant bitterness, more soap, some banana. Aftertaste: bit oxidized, bubble gum, bitter, some banana peel, slightly fruity, unpleasant. Not sure if it’s a bad beer, or just in bad condition.
2.8 Was a bit disappointed with it - generally love any rye IPA's but I found it a bit bland. Certainly not offensive and perfectly drinkable, just a bit meh. Can from Asda
3.7 The dark body is deceptive, plenty of RYE in this so the nutty, grainy mouthfeel is what you get, not a typical "darker" taste. The body really grips with a nice dryness, theres some orangey notes, and great bitterness balanced by fragrant dynamic array of hop choice.
3.0 Surprisingly dark. Large head. Light citrus aroma and flavour with some malt in the background. A little bitterness comes in at the end but doesn’t linger. Ok.
3.4 On tap at Victoria, Barnt Green. A fragrant IPA with heavy citrus bitterness. A golden amber colour with high carbonation. Not bad but a little too bitter for me.
2.6 Can: Poured a dark copper orange with a two finger tan head. Aroma is grassy and malts. Taste is super green hops and malty backbone.
3.3 20/6/2019. Draught at Sandford Park Alehouse, Cheltenham. Poured amber brown with a small just off-white head. Aroma of hops, malt, tropical fruit, pine and caramel. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Better of the 2 Purity had on.
3.4 Pint of cask Manor House. Malty and bitter. Fruity and mellow. Fine lacing. Decent drop from a good brewery.
4.2 Tasty malty ipa. Really enjoyable
3.6 Spice rye notes and pineapple nose. Juicy mango sweetness cut through with caramel malts and rye in the background. Grassy and hoppy and generally pretty good.
4.5 Silky Malty Pleasant on tongue followed by 1-3 minutes deep earthy bitterness. Surprisingly good and need a second pint
3.1 Tap at Purity Birmingham Pours clear amber with off-white head Tastes bitter, quiet a lot. Caramel. Malty base though bit in a back. Okay
2.6 Keg at The Regent, Balham. Clear amber. Spicy note, lemongrass and straw notes. Fairly malt forward aftertaste. Ok.
3.3 Tap@The Railway, Streatham, London - pours a hazy orange colour with a white head. Fruity and light malty with some citrus fruity notes of tangerine and grapefruit, sweet malty base, subdued hoppy finish.
4.0 Bought from the bull in Cosby; Genuinley exited by this. My juices are flowing, rock hard. My tongue is tingling with the taste of hops. Leaves a hint of lemon on the tongue. now for the aroma; ghee wizz, If you’ve ever had a Brooklyn lager (dark) then oh boy is this the (real) ale for you. Tasty. At 4.20 (blaze it), it’s a bit steep but I suppose I’m just old fashioned #bringbackthepoundpint , although you do pay for the quality. Purity is one of my favourite breweries, it has to be said. Remember, keep it real (ale).
3.1 Cask gravity at GBBF. Pours clear amber with a white head. Aroma of malt. Bitter taste and finish. Sickly. A little disappointed.
3.2 Can. Bronze pour. Aroma of rye, malt, orange and grapefruit. Taste has bitter rye, iron, malt, caramel and grapefruit. Allright, not very interesting.
3.6 330ml can. Dark and slightly hazy with a nice white head. Lovely aroma that doesn't quite carry forward into the taste. There's something in the taste that doesn't quite work. Otherwise, fine.
3.5 Pint, the Rookery. Amber, tangerine tinged head. Malty aroma, burnt sugar. Taste is quite sweet. Ignore the IPA tag, this is a hoppy eighty shilling and pretty drinkable.
3.8 330ml unfiltered can. Pours copper, with lasting head. A mouth-coating mouthfeel. Lightly spiced taste. A caramel/rye aftertaste. A good beer in good condition. Available from Asda at £6 for 4.
3.8 Pint from tap at The Waterway. Hoppy, malty and strong character. Well-balanced.
4.1 Pours a hazy deep golden with good level of white head and average carbonation. Big New World Hop aromas with citrus (orange & grapefruit) tropical fruits and pine. Taste is equally big, packs in a huge amount of flavour with a nice fruitiness and caramel sweetness followed by a massive hop hit with a piney resinous finish. Great beer from a fantastic brewery.
3.3 330ml can. Dark amber with long lasting foamy head. Looks fab. Aroma of pine, spice and malt. Taste is quite complex with toffee malt at the fore with a subtle hoppiness - quite sharp citrus but not overpowering and all modern! Pretty nice stuff. Better in can than draught/keg from my experience.
3.5 Beautiful red IPA. Floral hopped, unfiltered goodness. Looking forward to trying more Purity beers. 330ml can from Asda.
