2.8 12 oz bottle. Pours light amber with minimal head. Aroma is caramel with some raisin and a bit astringent. Flavor much the same, too metallic for my tastes, but could be worse.
3.0 bottle thanks to someone maybe bu11zeye? amber with no head. nose is caramel malts. sweet caramel malts and light fruit for the flavor.
2.3 Random beer randomly selected at El Bait shop this evening. Pours a reddish amber color with some head, but it went away really quickly/ Aroma was a little malty sweet with some soapy notes, not really much hops, per say. Flavor was moderetley hoppy, in that the hops were present but they were fairly mild. There was some sweet caramel. hmmm, eh.
2.5 Brown body with some red notes a large white crown floates on top with phenomenal retention. Sour malty, soapy, with some hop aroma. Aroma is sour and unpleasant. Sour bile flavour built on mild nutty malts. Brew has a bitter finish with a long lasting coffee after taste. Piney hops are detectable. Why does this taste like soap? Ugggg…. I can drink this but it’s not all that great in fact I don’t really like it."
3.4 Bottle as shown. Pours a clear amber with a medium off white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is caramel malt with licorice and raisin. Thin mouthfeel with a dry malt flavor with caramel and a nice sweet finish. Easy to drink, hiding the alcohol well, a good amber ale from Pyramid
1.9 Date: May 23, 2009 Mode: Bottle Source: Ticker Tasting Appearance: clear amber, wispy off white head Aroma: dry earthy caramel malt aroma, touch of bread Flavor: caramel malt flavor has a light sweetness offset by a light tartness Aroma: 4/10; Appearance: 6/10; Flavor: 3/10; Palate: 5/10; Overall: 6/20 Rating: 1.9/5.0 Drinkability: 3/10 Score: 4
2.2 Mahogany in color, big body, strong carmel malt flavor- too much for my taste.
2.1 ..Pours a dark ruby ... maple syrup color .. werthers original and metal spoon flavours .. pretty thin .. . not that offensive but offers nothing .. like a sweet slightly fuller messy bud american ale ..
2.5 Unless we got a bum rake, I don’t think this one is worthy a 68 percent style. It was kinda like a weak brown with a lager aftertaste. Eh.
3.2 Copper pour with medium sized head. Caramel and nutty notes in the aroma. Flavor reminded me a lot of a brown ale, not too bad.
3.2 Pours a nice red/copper colour with an off white head. Aroma is sweet, lots of caramel coming through, some dry leaves, some grain, floral notes some spice and soft fruit coming through as well. Tastes pretty malty, this is defiantly a malt first PNW brew. Soft fruits, caramel, apple, toffee, dried leaves, black pepper, nuttiness, and some musty notes. Sticky on the palate, a little heavy. I do appreciate the balance of hops, balance of sweetness, but this beer is not blowing me away.
3.2 Aroma is mainly caramel malt, with some hints of hops. Flavor is very malty, caramel and toffee. Hops come through a bit in the end. Mouthfeel is sticky and clings to the palate. Its an average autumn-type brew, although it may have a better taste when it is fresher.
3.0 Amber pour with a small white head. Malty nose. Flavor is malty, lightly sweet and smooth. Not bad, but rather unremarkable.
2.8 Bottle from the Co-Op in Davis, CA. Poured an amber color with little to no head. Tasted of carmel malt flavors with little no hops. Very thin on the palate with somewhat of metallic finish. Could have been much better.
2.8 bottle, A ruity peach aroma peasent along with some aluinum. Amber body with offf white head. Has some fruity fflavor but that is overpowered by a thicker malt presence. Filling brew don’t think this would be a good yark work beer for me.
2.8 Bottle. Poured a clear amber color witha small white head. no lacing on the glass. Aroma is overpowered by yeast and malt. no hop presense whatsoever which is what i look for in a good amber ale. Not much here, a dry, unimpressive aftertaste. over carbonated.
3.1 12 oz bottle purchased at Woody’s in Cool Springs. Poured a clear amber/red color with a two finger white head. The aroma wasn’t much. Sweet malt and yeast. The flavor was actually enjoyable. There was a sourness present, along with some caramel and sweet malt. This was an enjoyable brew.
2.1 12oz bottle. Pours an off-white head with a hazy, amber colored body. Smells like biscuits and honey. Tastes sour and metallic.
3.4 650ml brown bottle. An hazy orangey brown coloured beer with a thin but creamy head. Aroma is fairly straightforward caramel malt. Flavour is also of caramel malt, finishes with some leafy hops. Light bitter aftertaste. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Drinkable, decent amber ale.
2.1 An amber ale with a good malt flavor and an unfortunate tinny undertone. The beer pours an alright color for an amber. The head puffs up quickly but dissipates very quickly. The smell is sweet with malt, but a tinny note rears its ugly head. The flavor is similar with an overly sweet maltiness. Hops are present in flavor and taste but rather anemic ultimately, and the sweet malt drowns them out largely for the tongue. The feel is better than it was for Pyramid Apricot Ale, my only other stab at Pyramid that I wrote notes for. The carbonation is still not quite right, but not bad either. It is fairly drinkable and would be even more so if not for the tinniness.
3.1 pours an amber-copper colour with a thin tan head. Aroma is dusty malt, light fruit, wheat cracker tones. Thin and flatish palate, biscuity malt and semi-sweet malt body.
3.0 Clear, light copper color pour with a thin tan head. Light aroma of toasted grain, sweet malt and hops. Slightly sweet flavor of malt and light fruit, followed by a mild hoppy finish. Not bad to enjoy once a year.
3.3 Thin light brown head on copper. Soft caramel aroma. Hint of vanilla and a trace of tin. A drinkable autumn beer. Amped up amber or lite winter warmer. Malty, a touch of spiciness. A tinge of metallic. Vanilla notes are not overdone. Light caramel toffee with a nice dose of hops.
3.0 04.11.2008. On Tap at the coast Wenatchee Center Hotel, Wa. The colour is light brown to copper. Aroma is malty.
3.2 On tap @ Oakland Airport poured a clear reddish amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel, citrus and a hint of earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel and fruittiness with a crisp lightly sweet finish.
3.3
9/26/2007: Pyramid Broken Rake has a malty and sugary caramel aroma with a malty flavor containing tea, floral hops, and something spicy in the finish (cinnammon perhaps?). This beer is well-balanced between a moderate sweetness and a mild hoppiness. Medium-bodied and smooth. Good.

Sample(s) from 12 fl. oz. bottles (Enjoy by 121407 B386; 6.1% Alc./Vol.) shared at the September 2007 Jundale Beerklub Tasting. Thanks! Rating #144 for this beer.
3.5 Bottle, shared with Tyler Durden. Bright orange amber, thin off-white head. Aroma of spicy caramel and faint orange peel. Palate is chewy caramel (no spice however), and some nice fruit acids to offset the sweetness. Really nice! Better than the Breckenridge Avalanche we tasted alongside.
2.7 Reviewed 11/2/2008 (bottle): Pours a clearish light brown body, very active bubbles on the side of the glass. Lowish whitish head but quickly diminishing. Malty nutty aroma, with some fresh smells like hay. Some fruitiness too, like strawberries or something. Malty taste, that same hay-like smell. Some light berry fruitiness, maybe fig. Average mouthfeel, not too thin, a little fizzy on the tongue. Eh, not my style.
3.1 ~Pours a light amber color with small white head. ~Sweet malty aroma, a bit sugary in scent. ~Sweet malty taste, almost fruity. ~Medium feel, quick finish. ~A nice sweet amber. Enjoyable.
3.0 Pours a clear amber with a fizzy light brown head that goes away completly and leaves no lacing. Aroma of dark fruits, caramel malts and a bit of graham cracker. Taste starts off with some caramel and some banana flavors, light spices but finishes very sweet with notes of cardboard. Fizzy and water like.
