3.3 On tap at the BNA Party last week.Slightly hazy deep yellow color. bready biscuity aroma and flavor with a faint floral spicy hop to counter. Nice intermission beer.
2.8 Bottle at Villain & Saint. Nice copper body with no head at all. Nose malty, grains, toasty notes. Taste more grainy with malts and more subdued hop notes. Okay, not too distinctive.
2.8 It tastes like a Yuengling. A bit apple-y, a bit wet blanket ish, low carb as far as persistent, but manages to still be a bit prickly.
2.1 12oz bottle from Total Wine. Copper pour with rapidly vanishing head. Minimal carbonation. Minimal hop aroma, light body and a minimal hop finish. Easy drinking, largely forgettable German Lager. You could down 6 of these and not notice.
2.8 Tap, gold pour, white head, nose is grassy, taste is water, coors light, too light
2.6 Geruch süßlich und malzig, Geschmack dann auch süßlich, aber mit einem merkwürdigen Nachgeschmack.
1.1 Gebraut in Lizenz in Belgien. Geruch in Richtung Belgian Ale. Nicht passend für ein Lager. Geschmack dünn und saurer Einschlag. Niete.
2.4 Bottle at Max’s. Pours a clear copper body with no head light white ring of lacing. Aroma is malt, grain and light spice. Pretty bland overall. Mouthfeel is light and carbonated with notes of grain, corn, sweet malt and grain. Some metallic character on the palate as well.
3.0 Clear orange, moderate head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is bread, caramel, grass. Lighter body, decent and straightforward but forgettable.
2.3 Drank from the bottle. Aroma is tired and typical lager style with emphasis on grain, corn, and hay. Taste is malt, hay, and corn. Not much to this beer.
2.7 An okay, easy drinking lager. Amber colored, a ton of quickly disappearing head. Weak bodied and sweetish. Little to no hop bite. Picked this up at the 930 club in 2014.
2.4 Lagery and uninteresting. Not even a taste of rust that sometimes shows up in a distinguished can of vienna. Tap at Boundary Road.
3.8 Poured from bottle. Sweet malt aroma. Classic amber with beige head. Lots of toasted malt in flavor balanced with hops. Slight bit of pepper. Bold and refreshing feel. Nicely done.
2.9 Corn and honey nose, similar to certain breakfast cereals. Clear amber, headless. Lightly sweet, less corny flavor. Clean finish.
1.4 Bottle 33cl. Medium white head. A bit hazy amber color. Aroma is yeast, wine and rice. Taste is wood pile, wine and rottening leaves.
2.8 On tap @ Provisions Market. Golden pour with a soapy white head. Nose is really heavy on the fruit esters (mostly apple) and grainy sweetness. A touch of yeast, rice, and maybe just a hint of toast. Mostly sweet on the palate. Lots of rice, grain, and apple. Mild yeast and very minimal hop character. Not offensive, at least.
2.2 Clean & somewhat crisp is the only compliments i can come up w/ for this one. About as generic as they come w/ just a slightly better finish than macros. Forgettable & not recommended!
3.3 Clear copper color...small head. It is moderately hopped and finishes with a light bitterness...nice beer.
2.7 12oz bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. Aroma is light with a touch of grass some sweet clean malt grain, very faint floral hop notes. Flavor is very balanced slightly bready malt with just a bit of hops to even things out. Very clean crisp, light body.
2.8 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a clear amber color - this is darker than I anticipated. The head is one fingers high, and barely off-white in shading. Not much in the way of either retention or lacing. S: The primary notes are toasted malts and a hint of noble hops. Some fleeting caramel sweetness also invades the nose ever-so-slightly. Pretty basic, but not bad. T: Plenty of caramel and toffee to start, which turns slightly nutty and toasty near the middle...and also slightly metallic on the finish. Faint hoppy hints also appear on the back end; I want more of this to appear. If nothing else, the flavors seem to improve slightly as the carbonation slows down. M: This has too much of a rough, coarse feel for me going down. The high carbonation is welcoming, but the way it cuts through the otherwise sweet texture isn’t. Should be more drinkable, as well. O: This should be reclassified as an amber, or perhaps even a Vienna lager. At the very least, it’s an acceptably mediocre amber/Vienna (hey! ratebeer got it right!) Not bad, but I don’t see much reason to pick this up over SA Boston Lager, which is cleaner, crisper, easier to drink, and available everywhere.
2.6 22 Aug 2013, bottle. light gold, clear, steady bubbles. nose is sweet, honey and rice crispies. med body, caintly syrupy, mildly fizzy. surgery caramel malt. meh.
2.3 THOUGHTS: Might have been a little stale or slightly skunked, but a dedent Vienna was in there somewhere. TECHNICAL: Bottle. poured a slightly hazy, light copper or very light rust with a large, off-white head that mostly diminished and left good lacing. The aroma had moderate toasted and sour malt; lighter caramel; light grassy and earthy hops; hints of cooked corn and slight skunk. The initial flavor was slightly sweet; while the finish was lightly sweet and slightly bitter. There was toasted malt, honey, slight skunk, grassy hops, sour malt, earthy hops, light nuttiness, caramel, and a hint of lemon. The light to medium body was watery with soft carbonation and a metallic finish.
2.5 Draft. Pours clear copper. Tastes nutty and malty. Dull aftertaste. Light body and medium carbonation. Not so great. Smells like light grain and malt.
3.1 Tap. Pours clear amber wig thin, fizzy off-white head. Aroma is cereal and cookie malts, mixed nuts, light grassy notes, and light butter. Flavor is lightly sweet malts forward with supporting toast, stone fruit esters, nutty notes, and light hops; dry finish. Light/medium body and medium carbonation.
2.4 Pours a crisp clear yellow gold. Not much head power here. Has the standard basic pale lager scent. The flavor is corn and plain lager. Not very complex, easy to drink, nothing special yet nothing offensive. To be honest I only got this because my local beer store is going out of business and this was in the 1$ basket.
2.6 Copper colored beer with a dense white head; it looks pretty good. Nose is a little musty with slight hops, but overall not incredibly pleasant. Taste is a little malty sweet up front and finishes with mild bitterness. Nothing special. Decent beer, but I expected better.
4.1 Excellent beer, very easy drinking and refreshing. Not quite an ale, not quite a lager.
2.9 On tap. Golden and clear with a white head. Big aroma for a lighter lager featuring cereal and hops. Malty but still light with the hops keeping it crisp and dry. Not my favorite beer, but not bad for a light lager.
2.8 12 Oz. Bottle. Poured clear amber with not a whole lot of head. Aroma is of malts, cereal notes. Flavor is similar a bit of bitterness (not much) from hops, yeast, I would take in a heartbeat over any macro but it is just OK.
2.2 Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and corn. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. 220113
