2.9 Tap @ Old Chicago - Boise: Generally, a crisp malty good brew. Nothing that hoppy, but a classic amber ale.
3.5 BOD 11/5/14 from Total Wine. Pours a clear gold with a touch of amber. Normal head volume, lacing and retention. Light nose of biscuit and somewhat spicy hops. Light body with a somewhat smooth texture. Slightly below normal carbonation with a touch of effervescence in the middle and more in the finish. The flavor profile is borderline outstanding. Intensity is a bit light (even for a session ale), fair complexity, world class balance and it is tasty. It begins with a grainy biscuit that soon surrenders to a mild herbal hop flavor. A perfect amount of mild bitterness arrives in the middle. The finish is a slow fade of hops.
2.4 Pour on tap at Old Chicago, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of grass, cardboard, bread, biscuit, some spice. Taste was a mix of grass, bread, some cardboard, yeast, finishing fairly dry. Not great.
2.8 Bottle. Pours a dark gold color. Dissipating head. Not much aroma. Taste some grainy hops with some kind of spice in here. Some caramel malts, grass bread. Medium carbonation. Ok beer.
3.6 12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 10/13/2014. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, honey, light caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of citrus/floral hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, honey, light caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, light pine, honey, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of citrus/floral hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a really solid pale ale style. All around good robustness and balance of citrus/floral hops and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
2.1 35.5cl bottle. Bbe 20 April 2016. Pours amber color, clear with a thin white head. Small bubbles. Malty, citrusy, dusty aroma. Flavor has sweetness, cardboard, floral notes. Feels empty and tired. Papery. Meh.
3.2 2015-08-06. Lightly hazy dark yellow body with a small head and lace. Aroma has moderate resinous hop character, mild malt below.Flavour has moderate resinous green hops, modest bitterness. Very PNW combination of green hops and caramel malt, but less assertively hopped than you might hope. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Okay, does what it sets out to do I expect but not entirely to my own tastes. On tap at Bier Markt King St., Toronto.
3.4 12oz bottle into an English pint glass. Pours a clear medium golden colour with a sparse white peripheral head. Light fruit nose with a touch of citrus, a bit floral. Light and crisp with a touch of caramel flavour. Smooth and creamy. Would be a pretty solid session beer if it wasn’t treated as an import here (and thus far pricier than such a bottle would normally warrant). Will try again.
3.2 12 oz. bottle poured to a Czech-pils glass showing a clear & bright, medium gold color, with a frothy layer of fairly persistent, soft white head foam, and web-like lacing. The nose was lightly fruity as a combination of lemon & pit fruit, and subtle, preserves-like sweetness. The taste included a modest citrusy, earthy, and dry bitterness, with lively, seltzery carbonation that elevated the light body enough to keep it from exposing a watery texture. Not overly flavorful, but quite sessionable, with a crisp finish.
3.2 [7416-20150728] Tap. Fragrant floral grainy orange hops aroma. Clear, orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head and some lattice lacing. Bitter light orange grains flavour. Medium body. Good. (7/3/6/3/13) 3.2 (@ The Craft, Toronto, ON)
2.8 Aroma: Fruity hoppy and fresh. Flavour: A fruity and floral bitterness and a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Colour: Amber with a white head. From: Bilka Tilst Jun. 2015
3.8 [2015-07-11] Kuparinruskea, kirkas. Tuoksussa pihkaista humalointia. Sama pihkaisuus toistuu myös maussa, jossa on myös hieman makeutta. Katkeruus nousee esiin maun alkuosassa, mutta häipyy taustalle siirryttäessä jälkimakuun.
2.7 Bottle pour. Dark golden with a small soapy off white head. Light aroma with biscuit bread, and roasted malts. Light to medium oily body. Light salty and bitter taste.
2.5 Poured from a bottle. Light amber hue, very thin white head with minimal lacing. Biscuit, crackers, light roast, and grassy aromas. Sweetness has subtle caramel notes with an earthy finish on the taste. A nice beer, a touch sweet in the malt.
3.1 Pours ‎a clear golden colour with average-sized white head. Aroma is bread, caramel with a gentle grassy hoppiness. Flavour is doughy bread, sweetish caramel and a little grassy hoppiness. Quick finish. Average carbonation and body. Simple but serviceable gateway craft beer.
2.7 Bouteille.
3.1 Light amber. Light character, just enough bitterness, crackery taste but in a good way with some decent balance. A likeable basic amber.
1.7 Pretty underwhelming. Some light citrus. Pretty sour and lager like. Some light bitter sour finish. Bottle at a barbecue.
4.1 Pours a lightly cloudy amber orange color with very little foam and a light amount of carbonation. Has light floral hop aroma. The taste is a bit of a bittersweet floral taste and doesn’t have a dry or bad aftertaste. This is a good beer, wish I could find it in a 12pk.
3.4 Pale amber pour with a thin white head. The nose is slightly fruity with light fruity esters and a clean malt profile. There’s a nice minerally bitterness and a touch of lightly dusty aroma. Fresh and pretty tasty
2.7 Bottle. Orange hazy off white head fading quickly. Aroma of caramel, pine, metallic. Taste is of toffee, grassy, pine, a bit metallic again. Dry finish, watery mouthfeel, medium carbonation.
2.2 Очень слабенький вариант. Во-первых, не понимаю, зачем ввозить заведемо шишню. Во-вторых, мне с апашками знакомится надо, а тут такие экземпляры. Заварки никакой, хмель как будто выветрился, консиста - вода.
3.0 Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Clear, sparkling, slightly amber, gold with a 1-finger off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of cereal, citrus, bread and honey. Taste of cereal, citrus, honey, bread and a little floral hops. Medium body and medium/low carbonization.
3.1 On tap at the Bier Markt (Don Mills). Pours ‎a clear golden colour with average-sized white head. Aroma is bread, caramel with a gentle grassy hoppiness. Flavour is doughy bread, sweetish caramel and a little grassy hoppiness. Quick finish. Average carbonation and body. Simple but serviceable gateway craft beer.
2.8 Okay drinking beer. Gold Amber colored. Floral, malty, mildly herbal, slightly stale tasting. Lighter body,
2.8 22 oz. bottle from Grocery Outlet. It pours a clear rich golden color with a very dense off white head. The aroma is very herbal with some tea, hints of citrus and caramel. The flavor is a bit lack luster with some more herbal tea, hints of orange and caramel. Very light and watery on the palate with a weak finish. Not terrible, but very boring.
2.7 0.355L bottle. Fresh and fruity aroma. Clear gold color with small bubbles. Tiny foam on top. Disappears for few seconds. Floral, hay, passion fruit, lemon, grass flavours. Taste is light. Grassy mouthfeel. Simple beer.
2.6 Draught. Clear gold pour. thin white head with minimal lacing. Light cereal grain aroma, touches of honey, grass. Taste is slightly sweet, leads into a mild hop finish. Light body, very drinkable but not much more than a thirst quencher.
3.0 (bottle 19/04-2015) low white head, clear yellow color, hoppy aroma, slightly bitter. Bottled date jun 21 14
2.5 Bottle. Medium gold, frothy white head, excellent retention. Cereal malts, light grassy hop accents, low bitterness. Not one I’d come back to.
