3.5 I feel like the label on Redhook says it all. Fairly straight ahead. Call it good and traditional or semi-boring, depending on how you feel. Either way, good beer.
3.1 Rough notes from Ølfestival 2013 , Tap 1. A clear, amber golden with a creamy, off-white head. Light citrussy nose. Rather plain flavor of toasted malts and fragant citrussy hops. Medium bitter finish. Not bad, just mediocre.
4.5 Great IPA with nice fresh hop aroma and a fair amount of bitterness I always look for this beer on tap.
3.6 Pours light amber with small white head out of bottle. Citrus and hop aroma. Hoppy taste with smooth citrus finish. Good beer.
3.3 Kernig hopfiger Antrunk. Hopfiger werdend, spritzig, trocken bitter. Hell malzig, nett ohne besonders zu sein. 11/11/11/11/11/11
2.8 Very straight forward, simple IPA. Not much hops here so don’t expect much--in fact less than some pale ale’s. But the beer is not offensive. Some hop flavor noticed, along with some things floating in the beer. Would drink this over a lager if that’s all there was.
2.8 Draft at Duffy’s in Deerfield Beach, FL. American pint glass. Medium amber pour with thick white head. Modest aroma of nut, malts and grains. Taste is average with light malts, fairly weak bittering hops, and a not so freshness overall. (Maybe lines dirty at bar??) Mouth was medium body with a funk aftertaste.
3.3 Bottle. Pours golden with small white head. Aroma of citrus hops. Flavor of citrus and piney hops with a some malt sweetness.
3.2 The head is great, body blond and almost clear. It smells fruity, bit flowery. The taste is a bit hoppy, citrus, a bit bitter, full bodied. Ok 13/9/10/11/11/11
3.0 En högst medelmåttig IPA, har de flesta ingredienserna men alla i allt för sparsam omfattning dvs lite tråkig
2.7 Bottle. Corny, slight hop. Weak on malt and mouthfeel. Fairly smooth. Wish there was a bit more body.
3.0 Not a bad India pale ale but not bitter or strong enough for my liking ya know?
2.9 12 oz bottle labeled as 6.5% ABV. Pours orange-amber, hazy, modest ivory head has weak retention. The aroma is nice fruity with significant contributions from both hops and light malts. The flavor starts as expected, hoppy with a notable malt presence and some fruitiness and bubblegum. Moderate (for style) amount of hop flavor with a lasting and bitter hop [grapefruit peel] aftertaste as the sweet malts seem to disappear. Medium body with good carbonation. Dry finish. O - a rather mediocre IPA.
2.5 Boring and plain IPA. one dimensional, bland, weak hop and malt presence. dont bother so many better beers out there
3.0 Bottle into a Lager glass. Aroma is if better gold. Pour is golden honey with a fine head. Taste is a Better.
3.5 Bottle shared by Ed. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A sweet nose of citrus and biscuit. Very smooth flavor with lingering bitterness, some citrus, very clean and good.
3.6 Draught at Flanigan’s by Coral Gables, in Miami, on December 1, 2012. Clear golden color, off-white head. Hoppy, bitter, apricot, mango, sweet, malty taste. Sweet and hoppy aftertaste. Medium to spritzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Malty, hoppy scent.
2.9 Kind of a bland beer for the style. Pours amber with a white head. The aroma has a bit of bread and some citrus. Underwhelming to say the least. The flavor had a bit more hop bitterness but again underwhelming. Kind of watery at the end.
3.1 12oz. bottle. Two shades darker than gold on the pour with fairly minimal white head that leaves a bit of sticky lace. A hint of hops on the nose but not much else. The same can be said of the palate. Not exciting but not terrible either.
3.1 Almost clear light golden body and white frothy head. Fresh grassy hops and sweet orange. Decent smell. Taste is a bit simple and astringent but not bad at all. (Bottle in St Augustine on Florida trip)
3.3 I’m having this straight out of the bottle, there is hints of pine and citrus on the nose, I agree with a previous review that this IPA actually drinks and taste more along the lines of a pale ale there is a small burst of hops up front follwed by a sweet malt back bone there are way better as far as IPAs go but I’ve definitely had worse not a bad change of pace...cheers
3.1 It's a thoroughly OK beer. Decent if you want I upgrade from miller light, but it's a step below Sam Adams or others.
3.4 Nice foamy head, slightly grassy malty hoppy aroma. Light amber color, mild citrucy grassy hoppy taste with a decent malt backbone. Very good beer for the price. I actually enjoy this beer as a session beer. Worth a try ;)
3.6 Well made but plain. It doesnt go one way or the other. The hop aroma is decent pungent. Taste is malty light body thin brew. The color is light gold amber. Overall not all that
2.9 Aroma is sweet malt, pineapple, citrus grapefruit. Appearance is apricot w small head, slightly hazy. Taste is semi sweet malt. Hops bitterness balanced well. Pineapple citrus aroma hops. Palate is medium. Bitterness lingers. Overall not bad. A little on the watery side. Lacks any kind of complexity. Still, its drinkable.
2.4 Bottle poured into a pilsner glass at flemmings in sarasota. Pours gold/yellow with almost no head. Aroma is floral with very little trace of hops. Favors are grapefruit and floral citrus. Extremely mediocre ipa.
3.1 Pours slightly hazy yellow orange with a lot of white head. Smells of floral hops and grapefruit. Taste is the same with some sweet malt in the background and a medium bitter finish. It is a little thin and watery but for the price it is decent.
3.2 Pour form a 12 oz bottle. Clear amber brew. Aroma of light malt and light citrus hops. Taste is light caramel with a little citrus and floral hops in the finish. Pretty subdued but pleasant.
3.1 This was on-tap at the Verizon Center in DC, grabbed one before the concert. In a plastic cup a golden-orange color with decent white head. Aroma was malt and piney/citrus hops. Taste was much the same, maybe not as hoppy as expected and a little caramel. Maybe not the packed IPA I’m use to but beat the other beer offerings at this venue.
2.9 12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear light orange with about a finger of white head. Aroma of malt and light citrus hops. Taste is about the same. Nothing really special going on here.
