RedWillow Wreckless

Cask, Keg,Bottled & Can; Regular.

Brewer’s blog: "New beer brewed today, Wreckless, a very hoppy / aromatic 4.8% Pale, loaded with Citra and Amarillo hops, looking forward to this one, should be lovely. Think it is time to start brewing at full length rather than the 50% I’ve been running at until now.
Update : Just had a quick taste of Wreckless, massive amounts of citra and amarillo tropical fruits coming through, very pleased so far."

3.5 Bottle shared at the March THT at Kwartje. Clear golden pour with a white head. Notes of perfumey hops, citrus, light honey, light unripe fruit. Quite decent, given the fact that the bottle was way past its due date.
3.3 Can shared at the March THT. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Bit past it’s prime. Citrusy hops, very green, grassy. Harder to rate, seems decent.
3.4 Sampled from can at THT March at Kwartje. Passed its Best before date. Hazy yellow with white head. Light sweet malts, funky, lychee, milky. Medium sweet and light bitter. Medium body, soft feel, soft carbonation.
3.6 Can shared at THT. Aroma of herbal hops, citrus, nettles and lychees. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter. Above light bodied with soft carbonation.
3.4 Old can shared at THT. Grapefruit, light soap, mineral water, lychees, not really any malts but a light bready touch. No real sweetness, light bitterness. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation.
3.5 Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 6/3/2017. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. Aroma of tangerines, pineapple and floral hops. Flavour had more fruit, creamy malts and some white pepper, before a dryish finish. Enjoyable.
3.0 13/20 very drinkable pale ale, not overly piney and the hops have a sweetness. Good carbonation, only 5%, good option for a session beer
3.4 Can from Beer52. Hazy golden-amber with a thin white head. Nice orangey smell; tangerine, pine and biscuit in the flavour. A spicy, drying, mildly bitter finish. Ok.
3.4 Bottle from M&S, Walsall. Golden amber beer with medium head. Aroma of citrus and piney hops. Taste is citrus, dry malts and some tropical fruits. Decent.
2.7 Can from beer52 beer club. A little disappointing, a bit too mild for me, a hint of dry hopping but not strong enough for my liking. The aroma similarly is underwhelming. A hint of coriander and a vague memory of Blue Moon
3.5 Can at home. Aroma is zesty citrus, lemon, pale malt, citrussy hops, orange. Flavour is lightly sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium. Loads of zesty citrus, lemon, citrussy hops with a light pale malt backbone. Crisp and citrussy, I dig.
2.9 Can @Alex T’s, Kishan is leaving, will he come back Tasting. Pours golden slight but solid off-white head. Nose is candy sugar, toffee and caramel, its all very sweet on the nose. Taste is caramel, fruity, slightly bitter finish, slight vegetables, not a fan.
3.4 Pours clear golden with a medium foamy head. The aroma is orange and lemons. The flavour actually is quite honey like with a mild bitterness.
2.7 Pours slightly cloudy orange with good off-white head. Aromas of fresh orange zest, lemon and lagery malt. Decent carbonation and fairly light mouth feel. Taste of mild orange, hint of grapefruit and sweet malt although the beer itself is relatively dry. Light bitterness. Very light easy going IPA.
3.2 disappointing after a session of some great beers. Pours a straw colour, not much on the nose and a pallet that is just lacking something for a Pale Ale.
3.5 Can. Pours hazy golden amber. Aroma of citrus, peach and lemon. Light sweet and bitter. Solid APA.
3.7 Gele kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt fruitig, citrus, orange. Smaakt fruitig, tropisch, citrus orange. Droge afdronk.
3.6 Amber with foamy white head. Sweet juicy aroma and taste, some toasted malt. Medium body. A solid apa
3.9 Amber small lasting head tasted juicy and fresh chewy fruity mouthfeel refreshing great apa
3.6 Amber misty body, frothy head. English yeast, not quite clean fermentation, very juicy hops, modern and with very low carbonation. Smooth and drinkable despite solid bitterness. Bit watery perhaps but it’s the style more than the quality, which is awesome. Good stuff. (33cl can from Saveur Bière)
3.8 Hazy light orange color with white head. Aroma has a really fresh hop character with sweet lemons and also floral notes. Taste follows, bright and citrusy, really balanced. Hoppy but not really bitter, just a bit on the finish. Light body with soft carbonation. Overall it’s an extremely drinkable pale ale, bright, citrusy and fresh.
