3.4 Shared with Wim at his home during lockdown tasting. Black colored beer with small white head and no carbonation brownish head and no carbonation. Hopped floral aroma. Full palate. Finish is mucca coffee bitter. Nice in balance.
4.5 Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into tulip glass. Appearance: Black colour; medium creamy cappuccino-like head, nice lacing; cool bottle-label. Aroma: Roasted malt, fruits/citrus, pine, hops, gentle coffee and chocolate. Palate: Medium body, creamy, gentle carbonation. Taste: Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, fruits/citrus, hops, bittersweet with bitter aftertaste. Overall impression: Excellent beer, aromatic, tasty, well-balanced, drinkable; alcohol is not sensible.
3.9 Black with a creamy beige head. Dark chocolate aroma. Pine. A touch fruity. Bittersweet up front, bitterer at end, clean and crisp. Afterwards a surprising sweetness on the tongue full of lingering toffee. Medium bodied. Mild carbonation. Good!

3.6 Draught @ Craft Beer Bar Bremen. Pours black with a small creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, grassy hops, pine. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, roast malt, coffee, grassy hops, fruit, light pine. Medium body, soft carbonation, light sweet light bitter finish. 120820
4.1 0,33 l bottle. Pours almost black with small, tan, quite quickly dissipating head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, some chocolate, some hop notes - pine and citruses. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Finish is long, roasted malt and coffee fades and spicy, peppery bitterness lingers in the mouth for a while. Not the most balanced black IPA, but I absolutely love it. It's malt driven and it ages very well. Stash a couple of bottles away in the basement and enjoy them in 6 moths time!
4.2 33cl Bottle @ Bier Kraft, Seville, Spain. Black colour with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, slightly hoppy and piney. Taste is roasted malt, sweet, coffee, hops, citrus, grapefruit, resin. Medium body, average carbonation.
4.3 Bottle 33cl. Black with a fine foamy head. Coffe aroma and roasted malt. Really nice taste. Coffee tones, toasted malt and menthol from the hops. Just what I like about a real well brewed black IPA. Long finish.
4.2 Bottle @ Pop's Place, Ljubljana. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aromas of roasted malt, caramel, grapefruit and coffee. Flavours of roasted malt, red berries, licorice, citrus, caramel and coffee. Roasted and sweet finish. Medium bitterness. Excellent.
Textura acuosa y ligeramente oleosa. Carbonatación media. Muy buena y fácil de disfrutar. Ven y mira.
4.1 12/IX/19 - on tap @ DOK Brewing Company (Gent), BB: n/a - (2019-1371) Clear dark brown to black beer, big creamy beige head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very roasted, some charcoal, coffee, dark roasted malts. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, some caramel, dark chocolate, hint of vanilla, cinnamon touch, bit fruity, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: slightly sourish, caramel, roasted, bit sweetish, spicy touch, some cinnamon.

4.0 33cl fles. Tweeschijn donker bruin van kleur, fijne romige bruine schuimkraag. De geur is citrus en karamel. Smaak is zoet, koffie, citrus en chocolade. Vol body, veel koolzuur.
3.4 Flaska. I stort sett svart öl med ett smutsvitt skum. Doft och smak är rostad malt, karamell och citrus. Trevlig rostad beska och humlebeska i eftersmaken.
3.8 330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, fairly lacing, beige head. Roasty, chocolately dark malty and grassy, piney, slightly citrusy, hoppy aroma of moderate intensity, notes of dark chocolate, cofee, green onion, lemon, lemon peel, some mandarine. Taste is citrusy fruity hoppy, bitter hoppy and bitter, roasty dark malty, notes of lemon, lemon peel, some mandarine, dark chocolate, coffee, orange flavoured dark chocolate, a touch of cocoa, very subtle sweetness, cautious citric tartness. Watery-creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, very fine and gentle, efficacious carbonation. Well crafted, but lacks some intensity to reach the top of the charts.
3.7 Pours (330 ml bottle, home) dark brown like a porter. Head is small, but lingers. Nose is sweet dark roasted malts, dark fruit (hint wine) with tropical hop notes. Thickish body, balanced bitterness with roasty malts and hops contributing. Well carbonated. Medium dry ipa flavours. Lingering resin on the finish. Very clean and flavoursome. Great example of the style.

3.7 Draught @ The Who Cares For Beer Festival. Black colour. This BIPA has much character from the stout and less from the IPA, dominating notes are from dark malt, cocoa and chocolate. Pretty good!
3.6 Flaska inhandlad i Slovenien.
Fyllig kropp.
3.6 Bottle. Nose is citrus, chocolate, caramel, orange. Spicy and a bit woody. Woody, lightly roasty flavor with dark chocolate and dry wood.
3.7 Bottle. Hazy brown color with beige head. Aroma is leafy hops, chocolate, light roast. Taste is leafy, chocolate, roast, nice grassy hops in the back. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Good Black IPA!
3.9 Dark brown, thin head, clear. Spicy fruity tasty malt aroma, flavor is really nice roast-malty, dry and well-balanced for an 8% beer. There's a reason this is the number one Slovenian beer on RB right now! Do try it.
3.4 Darkest brown. Aroma is raisins, caramel, cinnamon, some dried apricot, some other fruit. Taste is harsh chocolate and piney juicy stuff. Sour and sweet. Intense. Still not super balanced I think. A little sticky. Ok.
3.5 Bottle. Cloudy brown, low brown head. Nice perfumed nose, roast, medium light, dry roast, hop wallop, dry, orange peel finish.
2.4 June 2019. 330ml dark bottle, cleanly unfiltered, from Beer52. Crap. There must be a special place in hell reserved for those who invented Black IPA. It's a total madness, alien to the concept of beer. This is simply about intense flavours - it's not about melody and song. This is the Brexit of beer.
