Reuben's Crikey IPA

Reuben's Crikey IPA

The hope profile in this brew is led by notes of citrus, tangerine and tropical fruit with a little pine in the background. The malt backbone provides balance in every sip.

3.7 Ordentliche Fruchtnoten, vollmundig cremig, schmeckt fast so intensiv wie ein DIPA. Hinten bitter, harzig, hopfig.

3.4 355 ml, can conditioned, BB Dec 19th 2019, so a bit old by the time of reviewing. Hazy, golden amber, thin white cap, medium carbonation. Aroma is piny, fruity and tropical, nice malty backbone. Rich mouthfeel, dry, dense, bitter and piny, low carbonation. Taste is hoppy, piny and citrusy. Classic, old school IPA.
3.6 Can. It pours a decent white head over a lightly foggy golden body. Some lacing occur. The aroma is piney indeed, with some grapefruit and hints of grass. Pale malts and some pale bread in the back. It's full-bodied and perhaps a bit effervescent, rather dry, with a good bitterness. Orange zest, grapefruit and pine cones dominates the flavor, with some malts in the back. A light sweetness too, but just a touch. Bitter, grapefruity and piney finish with a touch of pineapple. A pleasant one indeed, quite old-school, but that sure don't mean boring or bad. 191222
3.4 12 oz can. (Vinmonopolet) Tromsø, Norway. Enjoyed on Oct 4, 2019. Clear light golden color with a small white head. Lively. Donut beer... the aroma is pure glazed doughnut. Really sweet. The flavor is some piney and citrusy hoppiness, moderate bitterness, sweetness and caramel malt. Quite simple.

3.3 355ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Plain white head remaining over a misty late straw coloured body. Spotty lacing. Moderate floral fruity aromas. Well balanced hop fruity taste profile of lemon, orange, and canned fruits. Ends with a decent touch of citrus peels. Clean in the mouth. Nice and refreshing. (Tromsø 12.10.2019).

3.7 (nez citrusien, bouche first carbo-piquante, puis s’assouplit, all citron-agrumée, bien foutue mais pas orgasmique)
3.5 Can from Beer Republic. A hazy golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, grapefruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, slight tropical fruit, hint of pine. Pleasant enough IPA.
3.5 Aroma of tropical fruits, malt and some citrus. Golden with a white head. Medium sweet and medium + bitter. Medium + body with average carbonation. Overall a decent IPA.
3.5 Cloudy golden body with an off-white head. Strong aroma of sweet tropical fruits, strawberries, sweet caramel bordering on butterscotch, and hints of cream(!). On the tongue it's far less sweet than the aroma led me to believe. FYI: I've been stuffing myself with cream cake and sweets this afternoon, maybe my nose is simply expecting sweet and creamy stuff... Tropical fruits, gooseberries, hints of orange marmalade, and some zesty citrus in the finish. There is a pronounced malty backbone, but there is no butterscotch. But there is a certain lactose-like creaminness here, maybe my palate is screwed up as well. Mid-bodied, creamy texture (sorry), quite soft carbonation. A nice one, even for a cream addict. [33 cl can, enjoyed 5 months before BB date, from Vinmonopolet Tvedestrand]
2.9 Can 355ml (Beer Republic, canned 12/2018) Ouki - 7 months old IPA. Golden colour, small white head. Citrus peels in the nose with some paperyness. Medium-bodied. Citrus, citrus peels, lychee in the flavour. Quite pale malty. Shortish finish. Well, maybe shows its age somewhat.
3.3 Drukket på Lillehøgda. Gyldengul. Lavt kremaktig skum. Uklar. God aroma av sitrusfrukt. Smaken klementin & tropisk frukt. Tørr syrlig ettersmak.
3.6 Golden with a white head - Fruity hop with hints of herbal aroma - Malt body with a good hop flavour that has fruity and herbal notes with nice bitterness - The herbal flavours and bitterness goes into the finish - This was good
