Revolution Anti-Hero IPA

Revolution Anti-Hero IPA

Our flagship IPA is supremely aromatic, crisp, and drinkable. This iconic ale features a blend of Chinook, Centennial, Crystal, and Citra to create a crisp clean bitterness and imparts massive floral and citrus aromas. The Warrior hop is also used to add additional bitterness to the brew.

An American hop assault for all the ambivalent warriors who get the girl in the end. “Look, I ain’t in this for your revolution, and I’m not in it for you, Princess.”

3.4 33 cl can (6,7%) @ Utsjoki, canned 9.4.2021 Aroma has tropical fruits, fruit juice and some candy. Orange too. Flavour has tropical fruits, some grapefruit. Finished with cereal-like malt and biscuits. Aftertaste is a hop mix with herbs and grapefruit. Crisp but the hop profile is a bit unpleasant.

3.5 355ml can from Alko. BB 090422. Poured almost clear in color, mild haze. Malty backbone with enough resiny hops to make it interesting. Grapefruity bitter, light sweetness and light fruits.
3.3 Can. Golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light caramel and light tropical fruitiness and some citrus/light grapefruit hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and dryish, faint - light caramel, faint - light tropical fruitiness and some citrus/light grapefruit hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and dry, faint tropical fruitiness, some citrus/light grapefruit hoppyness. Decently hopped dry IPA with light caramel. Finish is bit sharp - could use more fruitiness.
3.6 Clear golden color with medium off-white head. Aroma has citrus, resin, needles, caramel. Taste is malty sweet with long bitter and dry aftertaste. Flavors of pine, resin, grapefruit and caramel.
3.3 Can. Alko. Golden light amber hue, clear. Pretty nice traditiinal us ipa nose. Pines, citrus, bit bready, slight papery malts. Med bodied well bittered. Not fresh, hoos give a kind of black tea like thing at this stage. Reminds me of not that many years ago when this was the best one could expect.
3.6 Can. Mostly clear deep golden color with a thick frothy off-white head. Aroma of pine, and resin with notes of caramel. Sweet and medium bitter taste. Medium body. A bit oily feel.
3.5 Smell of hops, spruce. Deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of spruce, hops, some honey. Bitter. Lively carbon. Very nice.
3.6 An orange beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has citrus, flowers, wood, caramel. Taste has citrus, pine, some flowers, medium bitterness. Medium bodied. Good beer.
3.8 Nice juicy incredibly refreshing when cold IPA with just enough but not too much bitterness from the resinous hops which abound here.
3.8 355 ml can. Pours clear golden color with a large white head. Aroma is resinous hoppy and slightly malty, caramel notes, orange and some citrus. Flavor is malty bitter, resinous hoppy, piney, faint caramel notes, citric fruity, some grapefruit notes, finish is lingering hoppy and bitter. Very nice hoppy IPA.
3.8 355ml can [6.7% abv]. Opalescent, orangey, golden colour with average to huge, fluffy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Piney, citrusy and slightly floral, hoppy, pale and caramel malty aroma, notes of pine, pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, a meddlesome strand of lemon peel, whiffs of liquorice and rubber. Taste is bone dry, piney and citrusy fruity hoppy, pale and caramel malty backbone with little residual sweetness, notes of grapefruit, grapefruit peel, some lemon, orange, pineapple. Oily texture, smooth and soft, dry, parching palate, fine and soft carbonation. Wow! This puts me back almost a decade ago. An iconic West Coast style IPA for the (old school) hopheads; you really need balls to cope with this hop bomb - maybe a bit unfashionable nowadays but paradigmatic for the style and accordingly agelessly premium. Outstanding!
3.1 Can at Tortas Frontera by Rick Bayless Filled 12-19-19. Copper coloured, no head. Caramel, pine hops, citrus. Pretty average. Purchased at Tortas Frontera by Rick Bayless, Chicago Airport.
4.9 This beer brought me to craft beer. I had my first one in chicago at giordano and was disapointed in the beginning that they only had fancy beer but wanted something local since I am from Germany. I liked the beer instantly and have enjoyed it since every year when I am in Chicago. It tasts best from a cask but is also greta from a can. It is has a somewhat spice taste with a little bit of malt and quite some bitterness. It has a proper strong and edgy body and a blossom like smell. It is my favorite IPA. Unfortunately it is not available in Germany...
4.3 Very hoppy and enjoyable
3.7 Clear and golden. Smells hops and clean grain. Taste is bitter and classic up front hops, very well balanced beer, a bit of caramel sweetness from the malt, medium body and sticky mouthfeel while still sparkling. Quite a nice one.
3.6 Aroma: Initially a bright citrus, clean very crisp and fresh. The hops provide a copious amount of grapefruit. The malts provide a sweetness and a light cracker. Also detected a faint note of alcohol. Appearance: Crystal clear body, golden yellow in color with strong orange hues. The head is off-white with a texture of mostly tiny bubbles mixed with medium scattered throughout. Head retention is strong and lacking is moderate. Flavor: Floral mixed with bright citrus tasting of grapefruit, the malts provide a light toasted grain flavor and a great lightly sweet backbone to balance the hops. The hops also provide a strong level of bitterness, but the malt sweetness help balance the overall impression. The finish is bitter and the balance is hoppy. Mouthfeel: Medium body, high carbonation, a touch of a carbonic bite. No noticable alcohol warmth, is not creamy. Moderate astringency from the hops. Overall: A bright citrus and floral IPA with a good backbone of malt sweetness that balances the beer. Overall this is a strong West Coast IPA that has a little bit more residual hoppiness what is still very enjoyable.
3.9 120z can. Pours a clear orange-gold with a fluffy, slow-dissipating white head l(3-4mm) eaving very light lacing. Aroma presents sweet tangerine, tropical fruit, faint pine, and slight must notes. The taste is well-balanced between citrusy flavors up front giving way to bready-biscuity grains followed by a grapefruit-pine bitterness. Frothy mouthfeel, medium dry with a fairly quick finish but a lingering remnant of bitterness. A solid classic American IPA.
3.9 Aaahhhh solid yummy hoppy beer mmmm Clear golden in the glass with a fine head. Good lacing Looks nice and inviting Lovely hoppy aroma with a fine intensity Nice bitterness in this one and a semi dry ending Grapefruit hoppy, fruity, malty and pine in the flavor [Can from Gundersen Travel Inc]
3.2 Can pour with a clear gold color. Caramel aroma. A more traditional ipa from a decade ago. Flavors of sweet pine and caramel, buttery, pretty malty, hops are more bitter than aromatic.
3.9 Ok IPA.Some citrusy, but blended w bit of pine.More malty than hoppy
3.9 Can. Grapefruit hop citrus aroma with notes of floral hops, pine resin and some orange. Pours clear golden-copper colored with a large off white head that has excellent retention, but little lacing. Starts with grapefruit and orange citrus flavors. Finishes very dry with floral and pine resiny hop flavors with a hint of bitterness. Really nice IPA.
3.7 Can @ Home. Pours clear golden with a white head, lacings. Aroma malt, fruity hops, light melon, citrus, grapefruit, pine, resin. Flavor is bitter, malt, grass, fruity hops, citrus, piney, resin. Medium body, average carbonation, dry and lasting bitter finish. Nice old fashioned IPA. 201119
