3.3On tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, light fruits and apples, and some pale and caramel malts. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not bad but not the best of the style.
3.0Sample at the brewery. Hazy gold pour. Aroma of banana and clove. Full bodied with a heavy spice palate. Plenty of white pepper and coriander. Finish is slightly acidic. Drinks like a heavy wit. Kind of strange.
3.5[Tap] Pours a bright orange color with a light amount of haze to it. A small head of white foam on top. Aromas of perfume, floral hops and a dried grass note. Lively carbontion and nice lacing. Flavors of grains, green apple, tart citrus, acetic notes, grass and hints of black pepper. Dry and herbal finish with a pretty heavy body for a Saison. Tasting notes from 10/2014.
3.7это пиво очень вкусно. я бы, конечно, рекомендую его всем. пожалуйста, обратитесь его. очень хорошо!
3.1On tap, pours a clear orangish golden color with dense white head. Decent sticky lacing, but limited carbonation. Yeasty aroma intertwined with spicy cloves and overripe banana. Taste is in line with the nose, yet some sweet tropical flavors are present. Palate is left with a resinous sticky sensation. Other Revolution beers I’ve tried seemed more refined.
3.8Well color me impressed. Solid saison with a nice dry hop flavor and has a good caramel note too. Has a good sweet breadiness too, and is definitely enjoyable.
3.5On tap, poured into a sampler. The aroma is a strong honey and tropical character. Later on, a touch of "sweat" comes through along with a grassy note. The beer is a foggy orange-gold color with a thin white ring of dense head and a few light wisps on the surface. It also has a light, runny lace that leaves a clean glass. The taste is a medium high sweet and bitter balance. The viscous beer contains small-bubble, fizzy carbonation. The medium full body has flavors of honey, citrus rind, buttery pie crust, white pepper, and a touch of candy and resin. It finishes with notes of the pie crust, spice, and a crisp, light pine zest. There’s a lingering funkiness in the dough batter and herb aftertaste along with some pepper.
3.7Bottle (22 oz). Thanks to Rich for this one! Clear golden with a medium white and some lacing. Aroma is of Saison yeast, citrus, floral/herbal notes and light spiciness. Taste is yeasty with light spiciness, biscuity malt, citrus, floral/herbal notes and light bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Dry and citrusy finish. Simple and tasty Saison. Alcohol is well hidden. Drinkable.
3.4Light golden body. Big Sweet aroma. Spicy pepper notes with lots of sweet yeast taste. It’s good.
3.8Bomber from Pace High Carryout ($7.99). Gold pour with huge frothy white head that takes forever to recede. Aroma of wheat, citrus, spice, perfume, floral, hay. Tastes are grape, spice, yeasty, citrus, pepper, wheat bread, coriander. Very slight background tart. Lots going on. Little metallic vibe, but not necessarily in a bad way. Feels like a sipper but goes down easy.
3.9From a bomber in a snifter. Nice spicy flavor, very well balanced, some hops but they are nicely muted and balanced out by the other flavors. Slight alcohol burn. Really good Saison.
3.6650 ml bottle courtesy of josh. Thanks. Pours a hazy yellow color with a big sudsy white head that has good retention. The aroma is big with Belgian yeasts, spices, floral and white fruits. The taste is spicy and fruity with pears, peaches, pepper, coriander and citrus. The palate is full and smooth with soft carbonation. Finishes long and dry. Overall: Solid saison
3.2The tulip glass as suggested is the perfect choice. The aroma is one the most complex I have recalled. caramel with nuts, perhaps bread as well. Bit of citrus to the hops with a floral aroma the alcohol is very well hidden. Golden color with small white head nothing spectacular. medium light bitter taste seems very sweet. full bodied beer that means business thick slick texture with a long finish. Overall probably a great beer if it is your style. Unfortunately it is not mine. I don’t really care for a spiced type brew so it is my personal taste that score this so low for a quality brew
3.4Pours clear golden with low white head. Aroma of honey, wheat, citrus. Taste is rich honey sweet. Light, smooth body.
3.1Spicy with a hint of bananas and maybe cinnamon. Bitter finish. Pours yellowish orange with a white head. Had at revolution.
3.4Location: Draft at Primebar, 7/1/14
Aroma: The nose is yeast and spice, some citrus/fruity notes as well
Appearance: it pours a clear golden-orange color with a small white head and lace
Flavor: The taste is much the same, spice and fruit, light sweet, light-mid bitter
Palate: The body is medium, it has a solid mouthfeel, and a plus carbonation
Overall Impression:
Solid, drinkable saison. Definitely worth trying, and makes for a nice sping/summer happy hour beer.
3.4On tap @ Revolution. Orange pour with a white head. Clove and white pepper spiciness, but lots of sweet bread, apple, and pear. Fair amount of sugar and bubblegum, too. Flavor is way too sweet. Bread, apple, and pears. Bubblegum and banana esters as well. Light pepper, some clove, and a bit of nutmeg. Not bad, but not really a saison.
4.022 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours light hazy deep gold color with a 2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of big apricot, lemon, peach, pear, apple, light banana, clove, coriander, herbal, wheat, bread, grass, light pepper, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of apricot, lemon, peach, pear, apple, light banana, clove, coriander, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Light amount of earthy yeast spice/hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, lemon, peach, pear, apple, light banana, clove, coriander, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, balance, and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a great yeast/malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice French saison. All around good complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
3.5On tap at the brewpub. Pours a near clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of sweet light grains with a bit of Belgian yeast and light fruits. Flavor is similar with sweet light earthy fruits, sweet grains and a nice Belgian yeast.
3.4Bottle. Pours hazy golden amber with a gigantic puffy off-white head that makes it a pain in the butt to pour. Head lasts a long time and leaves big sticky lacing on the glass. Aroma is honey, grassy, pepper, rye spiciness. Flavor is light sweet, peppery, hay, yeasty esters; a bit fruity. Dry finish, minimal bitterness. Medium light body, high carbonation.
3.4Sampled at brewpub. Came in the glass a hazy gold with a wisp of a white head. Nose of funk. Medium body. Flavor is ripe fruit and barnyard. Some spice in finish Good.
3.5Sampled at the brewpub. It poured a clear orange color with a white head. The aroma was of hops and yeast with a medium body and a slick texture with flat carbonation. The taste was bittersweet with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Nice.
3.7Draft pour at the source. Pours a hazed copper with a thin white head of foam. The aroma has big ester notes with some dry, herbal qualities. Some sweetness comes through, but it is mostly a dry herbal bitterness. Medium carbonation.
3.7Cloudy orange gold, light head. Grassy, flowers, honey sweetness. Bitter, sweet with some sourness. Lighter bodied, bit of acidity. Long aftertaste. Quite complex pretty good.
3.5@ Hyde Park Wine and Spirits / Cincinnati OH --- Cloudy light amber with a big 3" head that is slow to drop, bands of lace. Taste is a combination of sweet malt and floral hops. In the palate, a slight sour/sulfur taste is added to give it a distinctive European flavor. A full-bodied, but not heavy, brew that is a pleasure to drink.
2.6Saison. Full of saisonny saisonness. Nothing else to say. Need to make this comment longer.
3.0ベルギータイプの白ビール

3.4I’ve had a bomber or few of this from the local grocery store. (Sadly, they don’t stock it anymore.) The body is clear and golden with a short-lived sudsy head. It has a warm pale malt sweetness to the aroma, candy-like, with some floral scents and a bit of funk. It tastes of a floral bitterness followed by a soft sweetness and a hint of apple. The finish is dry and mildly bitter. Pretty decent stuff.
3.5draft at Brewpub, orangish yellow pour, medium bdied, spice & floral abundance. perfumy, light pot pourri. decent
3.5At first this beer tasted terrible. But then it grew on me a little bit. With each sip, it got a tad bit better and better. I guess I just needed to wash out what ever flavors was in my mouth. This clear golden ale has a earthy dry taste. Its got alot of carbonation, so the bubbles stay for longer than I had expected. It has a slight dry yeasty flavor on the back end. I didn’t taste any fruity or citrus flavors at all like alot of people described. Not the best of Saison ales that I have tried, but no where near the worst. I love this brewery so its hard for me not to recommend this to anyone. Give it a shot, because in not a huge saison ale drinker.
