3.7This is a decent IPA but not one of my favorite Heroes. Aroma is very good with grass hops caramel malt and a little Pine resin. Flavor is somewhat like nose more bitter than sweet but less complex and with a soft dry finish.
3.2Lightly hazed dark golden to amber in color. Taller light taupe colored head. Mild pine and citrus rest upon some crystal/caramel malt. Flavors seem to correlate with the aromas. The caramel and pine have never been a combination that seems to mate well with my taste buds. Smooth feel. Seems like a hoppy amber.
3.5Can. Cloudy golden/orange body. Frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruits, toasted grain. The flavor moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Shot of sweet orange taste swept off the tongue by the bitterness. Balanced and tasty.
3.7Can. Clear golden with white foam leaves the odd lacing spot. Tropical fruit leads the aroma. Flavor is resinous with some spice that includes cinnamon. Grapefruit bitterness and this becomes more juicy. That bitterness is big. This is an IPA lovers kind of beer.
3.7Can. Gold pour with a white head. Citrus and resiny hops in the taste and aroma. Quite dry bitter finish.
3.912 ounce can. Bright brassy gold color topped by a firm bubbly white head. Fragrant hop aroma of passionfruit and citrus. Big bitter hops right out of the gate. Some biscuity malt, but the hops dominate here. Dank citrus, pineapple and pine combine to provide a biting lupilin finish.
3.512oz can. Pours golden with a white head and plenty of lacing. Hop bomb that finishes dry. Pretty straight forward but tasty
2.2Finishes too quick with a dry stoppage. Needed a water with it. Great color and head poured out of a can.
3.1Sampler at Churchkey 6-2-17

Feels medium with nice bubbly foam

3.8Draft I poured myself at the Chicago airport.($11 for 16 oz) Poured clear dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture with soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration.
3.9Pine and light citrus from a copper pour. Light earthy taste with a well balanced finish.
3.9Tap at butcher’s tap in Chicago during glbtq.
Dark gold with medium white head.
Fresh hop nose. Slight resin and pine. Good bitterness. Sticky bitter finish that is drying. Crisp.
3.8Served on tap at Butcher's Tap. Slight haze golden color with a white head. Citrus light hops aroma. Citrus resin bitter flavor. Light crisp.
3.512 ounce can from Badger Spirits in Beloit, WI, served fairly cold from a pint glass. Vaguely hazy medium amber-gold body with a fluffy, lasting cumulous cloud of off-white foam that laces thickly as it fades...sweet-spicy aroma of honey, mango, light resinous pine, more citrusy elements showing up after a few minutes, pleasant but nothing fantabulous...fairly intense bitterness throughout, light sweetness, a touch syrupy around midpalate but drying out nicely enough towards the finish...no sign of it’s ABV really, this drinks to me more like 5.5% and is very quaffable. Doesn’t in the end excite me, it’s a little too full or something, but definitely worth a try or two, or more if it’s on sale and fresh.
3.4This draft brew from a restaurant was served at a cool temperature and poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a uncarbonated body transparent orange brown colored body and a very good lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of mild citrus hops malt and bread dough. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
3.912oz can. Pours clear golden amber with a medium white lasting head, some light lacing. Aroma is sweet citrus, pine and grapefruit notes. Taste has a nice fruity flavor, tropical fruit, citrus and grapefruit, some pale malt. Has medium body with good carbonation. Finishes with a good fruity flavor, tropical fruit, grapefruit hops bitterness which intensifies as it warm up. Leaves a lingering dry hop bitterness as it goes down. Overall a very good, full flavored IPA. very nice.
4.2This is an excellent IPA that stands out among its peers. Clean, crisp aroma of pine and citrus, although the aromas are a little light. The taste starts similar with pine and citrus, albeit with a more pronounced profile, and then the hops hit like a blast from a laser cannon. The right amount of carbonation gives this beer a lively mouthfeel, and lends a longish, crackling finish of flavor.
After a pint to start the evening and a pint to finish the evening, I now want to strap on my jet pack and save the galaxy from nefarious evil-doers!
4.0Can, Trader Joe’s Chicago. Light amber colour, nice white foam. Crisp pale ale this, just enough sweetness in the malt base and a good whack of citrusy lime grapefruit slightly floral hops, medium to long bitter finish. Supremely moreish. A lovely little drop.
4.1The hop aroma is there. Light crisp hop forward beer. The Australian hops shine on this one. Sweet soft tropical fruit flavors. Nothing lacking in this IPA. More smooth than the flagshipIPA. Malt doesn’t shine through and who wants it to. Balanced super hoppy. Thin fading head.
3.4Can. Grass and spruce hop aroma. Grass and caramel with some subtle resiny pine notes. Some citrus in the dry finish.
3.3Can. Pours out a light hazy copper color with a moderate off white head. Aroma is of lots of sweet cereal malts, Caramel, grass, pine, some spruce tips. Taste is much the same, lots of sweet Caramel and bready malts then a punch of resiny pine, grass and some biscuit and hoppy find is. I usually like galaxy, but this is just the wrong malt base for me.
3.7When you think of an IPA, this is what you think of. Hop assertive, floral on the nose and clean finish.

3.2light pine aroma. gold and crystal clear with nice head. taste is of pine and resin, faint grapefruit note.
3.3Clear gold.
Medium full body and flavor, clean mouthfeel, average length.
Moderately bittersweet, crisp.
Hoppy, delicate resinous flavors, well balanced.
Very drinkable, tasty.
2.9Can at Mile care of and with Maureen. Clear gold with small white head. Notes are bitter and ashy grains up front. Also some appleS, fruity malt, and other boozy IPA notes. Light bodied. Forgettable
3.5Can (with some pretty cool design on it). I picked this over the other hop variants because Galaxy hops are just so ridiculously pungent. However, the beer was surprisingly... tame. It’s decent and straightforward, with a nice bitter kick at the end, but there’s not much hop aroma and I found myself missing that juicy/fruity Galaxy flavor.
3.5on tap @ Vino Bellissimo / Lima OH --- Deep copper gold color, bubbly white head that drops to a full cover, lace curtain. Taste is malt that mingles with solid citrus hops. The two share the trip through a long, satisfying finish.
3.5Bottle shared at Hamilton 5 Year. Pours hazy golden orange white head. Aroma is juicy citrus, pine, caramel, grass, grapefruit. Medium bodied, citrus, pine, caramel malts. Good.
3.612oz can. Filtered tan body. Thin off-white head. Pleasant soft pink grapefruit tones, a little more resinous, bitter backbone from the Zythos. A pretty solid modern beer in a lot of respects, but not that impressive of an aroma. Mildly juicy, enjoyable beer.
