2.4 Hazy yellow pour with thin head. Wheat, orange rind, and slight spice round out the nose and flavor. Not terrible, but lacking the true witbier qualities.
2.8 On tap. Pours a muddy Amber with moderate head. Aromas an flavors of oranges and coriander - lots of coriander.
3.2 Cloudy light orange pour with a thin head. Citrus & yeasty aroma. Taste is of the same. Low carbonation. Don’t forget the piece of orange!
2.6 Opaque golden yellow, orange tinted body with a huge white head. big peach aroma. Some orangey citrus as well.
3.3 341 ml bottle from a Rickard’s sampler twelve-pack from Sobeys Liquor outlet, served in a tall witbier glass. Pours a hazy amber shade with a white cap of froth that leaves consecutive rings of lace. Aroma is sweet wheat and reasonably bright hops, with de rigueur banana presence; the same applies to the flavor (I’m not sure, but I think clove is lying buried in there - I need to train my senses further), with added orange, lemon and lime from the hops. The carbonation is low, the body is slightly above simply thin, and the conclusion is soft and uncloying as it tapers away. Not an exciting or dynamic wheat ale, considering I’ve had and loved the excellent Schneider Weiss Tap 5 and its ilk, but it’s very pleasant, drinkable, friendly, and thankfully unsyrupy or heavily spiked with seasonal flavors (I’m looking at you, Tree Brewing Vertical, with your wintertime ’vanillausea’).
2.7 Hazy golden color. Complex taste of fruit. Lemon and orange. Not as fruity as other white beers. Light body. Crisp finish. Ordinary beer. Not having again. I would choose other white beer.
2.9 Draft. Opaque yellow color, bright white head. Aroma of citrus and light spice. Taste has bitter orange, lemon. OK.
2.3 Served with a slice of orange that was quickly discarded. Pours a hazy orange with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of orange essence/extract and that about it. Taste is of same fake oranges, not even trying with the coriander. Body is light and carbonation too f******* high. Overall a not so good wit that just barely makes it.
2.6 12oz bottle poured into a shaker glass. Turbid deep yellow with a small white head. Spicy nose (coriander), with sweet orange and floral hops. Sweet over ripened citrus, wheat, spiciness, low bitterness and milkish notes. A bit cloying but easy to drink, summery, not dry enough and light bodied. OK.
1.5 Bottle. Pours murky orange with a thin white head that lingers. Wheat-banana aroma with light carbonation. Tart with wheat flavors. Not my type.
3.2 On tap @ Wild Wing Kanata. Pours a cloudy yellow with a mid-size, creamy, white head. Aromas are zesty lemon, some chalk, and candy. Tastes are citrus dominant (lemon, orange) with a big malty presence. Light to medium body, short malty finish. Ok, but not a memorable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
2.6 Inoffensive but not fantastic, this is a chalky, slightly lemony, nearly tasteless macro attempt at a Wit. Right (i.e., low) level of hops though
2.8 Probably Rickards’ best offering. Cloudy orange pour due to it being unfiltered. Very smooth to drink with little carbonation. Pints typically served with an orange slice in Canada as the dominant flavors are orange and coriander. Decent.
1.8 Pours cloudy orange with thick frothy white head. Very light aromas of citrusy orange. Taste is extremely mild orange, coriander, with very light bitterness. An extremely mediocre beer, and there are far better choices in this category.
2.6 Draft pour at the Montreal airport. Cloudy orange with white head. Tastes like a blue moon. Which I don’t like. But it is a good beer for this style.
2.8 hazy pale orange pour with a thin white head. orange and coriander aroma. taste is citrus, orange, slight spice.
2.8 Une blanche générique qui a l’avantage d’être estivale en bouche (je l’ai écrit, donc ça doit être vrai). Orange et coriandre certes, mais j’ai étrangement pu gober un peu de banane... Une belgian au background allemand? Who knows? Pas mauvais, mais franchement pas si bon. Manque de profondeur.
2.5 Brewhouse, camrose ab. On draft. Not a strong aroma of really anything maybe a little aroma of orange. Taste like a not very strong white beer, very easy on the pallet. Nothing really special in my opinion get a hefeweisen and be satisfied.
2.8 Can. Hazy yellow with off white creamy large head, light citrus aroma, low carbonation, yeasty sweetish taste, abrupt finish with very little bitter aftertaste. Not too bad for a high volume production.
2.7 Orange&corriander aroma. Opaque orange in colour. 1 finger of white head which quickly dissipates into a small white ring which remains all the way through. Light body with a lively carbonation. Notes of orange and corriander is pronounced.
2.7 Aroma: Oranges, Mild Lemon, Mildly Grainy Appearance: Cloudy Orangish Hue, Passes Some Light, Thin White Head Ring, No Lacing Taste: Oranges, Lemons, Mild Corriander Mouthfeel: Mediocre Carbonation, Light to Medium Bodied, Mildly Sweet
2.7 AROMA-cereal, floral, earthy, woody, APPEARANCE-cloudy, dirty gold, white foam head TASTE-heavy cloying sweetness, medium bitterness, BODY-light body, thin feel, soft carbonation,
2.8 Bonne bière de bar faible mousse .Un goût d orange prononcer et un dépôt au fond assez bizarre comme si il ajoute de la poudre dans le mélange
2.6 A later addition to the Rickard’s family, it pours a slightly cloudy gold with a bit of zesty citrus notes with hints of spice in the nose. An ok macro-witbier but I think Hoeggarden’s better in that category though this is cheaper.
1.8 Pours a cloudy orangish gold with a frothy white head. Aroma od citrus, orange and some spicy yeast. Taste is orange, spicy yeast and some slight bitter spiciness on the finish. Overall it’s a bit too thin bit a decent wit for molson.
2.4 Aroma: Sweet smells of coriander and carbonation Taste: very sweet tastes with very faint hop notes on finish Appearance:cloudy gold body with a bubbly white head with very poor retention.
3.2 On tap. Cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma of bitter and pepper and some yeastiness. Flavour is malty and spice maybe coriander. Finish is slightly sweet. Nice.
2.7 Bottle shared at a tasting at our place. Pinkish orange with white ring, yeast, rotten fruit aroma, sweet, a little floral, yogurt taste. Medium body, yeasty bitter finish.
1.9 Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Hazy yellow. Yeasty aroma with rotten fruits and spiciness. Yeasty flavor, pretty sweet, with some spiciness and a bit of rotten fruits. Light-bodied.
