Riedenburger Dolden Sud IPA

Riedenburger Dolden Sud IPA

"Dolden Sud" is the newest specialty beer from Riedenburger Brauhaus. Selected aroma hops give the beer a fruity and sweet aroma. The body of the fine Riedenburger’s summer barley malt, the bitter hop taste, and the exceptional spicy yeastyness form an luscious alliance of taste.

3.4 33cl bottle. Pours orange gold, with very fine white foam. Aroma is hoppy, resinous and piney, caramel. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is medium-high bitter, with good initial sweetness. Final is fairly long and bitter.
3.5 Grapefruit, Aprikose, Karamell
3.4 Pours amber-gold with a lacing thin head and a slight haze from the loose yeast. Nose is light caramel malt plus touches of cream, apple and sweet pepper, and a distant whiff of dried herbs. Malty-sweet at first, then drying bitterness cuts in before the sweetness reasserts along with a smooth and warming alcohol note and a pithy grapefruit bitter finish. It all works pretty nicely together.
4.1 Pale and hazy with a three centimetre thick head. Smell of grapefruit with cream and smoke notes. Full bodied grainy taste with a creamy texture and fruity notes of citric fruits and peaches. An interesting, unconventional IPA.
3.4 Bottle from Beerwulf. Aroma is fruity and citrussy with plenty of orange and grapefruit. Tropical notes. Fruit peel, soft malt and pine. Mild sweet, medium bitter flavour with a medium body. Good IPA.
3.3 Helles gold, feine Krone, trüb. Würzig-grüner Antrunk, etwas Gras, frisches Heu. Solide
3.2 330ml bottle in 2016. Hazy golden with a thin white head. Aroma of some pine, grapefruit and dry grain. More malt forward flavour, with caramel and biscuit notes, followed by some fruity hops.
3.5 Pretty good for a German IPA that I can get at the grocery store (Alnatura). Easy to drink and finishes pretty clean. Would like to find this at Globus or Edeka, where it's bound to be a little more reasonably priced.
Ibu 55, 6,5%.
3.5 Trübe, fast milchig. Sehr bitter. Gut wahrnehmbare frucht.
3.0 Bukiet smaku, od kwiatowego po chmielowy, słodki. Mętne z piękną, nie uchodzącą pianą.
3.8 Bottle picked up from denn's, Dachau and consumed at home Attenkirchen, Bavaria, Wednesday 3rd April 2019 listening to Nils Frahm and having cooked Fish Pie. Pours gold with a haze and a large sticky white head. Not an awful lot on the nose but in the mouth it's very good, dry with a thrusting, pushy bitterness, the initial sweetness disappeared straight away. A hint of pineapple, pine resin and bitter lemon. Very good.
3.3 330mml. bottle. Tasted on the 29/03/2019 at home. Misty orange colour with a medium white head. Aroma is resinous and earthy hops, lemon and grains. Taste is light resinous, citrusy and grainy leading to a slightly bitter finish. Not so fresh but nice. Next one please!!!
4.1 Birra ad alta fermentazione, schiuma persistente, bolle ampie e ben distribuite. Colore ambrato, e denso. Consigliata
3.4 33cl bottle, hazy golden color (lots of sediments floating), huge off white head, grass aroma, pine and grapefruit notes with a mild spicy touch, nice hoppy flavor, medium body, fresh finish with grapefruit notes
3.5 Oranggelbes trübes Bier. Geruch nach Mango, Hopfen, fruchtig. Geschmack fruchtig, süßlich herb.
3.4 Pours a golden orange color with white head. Pineapple and cardboard aroma and taste. Juicy as well. Notes: bottle from Ashley, Feb ‘19
2.1 Tnx to Agate, bottle from Munich. Nice aroma of fruity, citrus, peach. Moderate level of bitterness. Jet it was something wrong in flavor, some vomiting alike defects. Hope will re-rate when will be in Munich next time.
3.4 From the bottle. Orange with a frothy white head. Aroma is a mix of tropical fruits: papaya, banana, citrus. Taste is consistently bitter from beginning to end, but not overpoweringly so. Crisp, dry, warming at the end. Medium body. The malt profile feels thinnish compared to the hops but okay for the style. Okay.
4.0 German. Pours orange golden and hazy. Very nice white head that sustains. Notes of wheat, grapefruit, orange peel and citrus. Taste of citrus peels, grass, wheat. Awesome bitterness to finish. Super good brew. Well done!
3.4 Resinous and herbal aroma. Medium bitter taste at first, with a strong maltiness, then a herbal bitterness with a dry finish kicks in.
Corpo medio, carbonatazione leggera. Birra beverina e leggera, ideale per l’estate.
3.5 33cl bottle; BB 12th Apr 19. Drank on 7th Sep 18 in my holiday apartment in Bamberg. Really enjoyed this; poured golden with a slight mistiness, on top a full and lasting white head. Good hop profile without trying to blow your head off, light citrus notes but mostly piney and earthy hops on a decent malty base, light tropical fruit flavours become stronger as the beer warms in the glass.
3.2 33cl bottle from Ekoplaza. Thick white head. Hazy golden pour. Nice bitterness.
4.2 Dark golden hazy colour, white head. Medium carbonation. Slight spicy, half bitter. Well balanced, lemon fogs and hoppy aftertaste. Not Bavarian at all. Not bad at all, but not exciting. Easy to drink.
3.3 Very hazy medium dark golden color with nice frothy white head. The nose is fairly clean with some dry floral hoppiness. Medium-full bodied, it has buscuit character on top of somewhat resiny hops but hops don’t shine in any way. They got the bittering about right but the hop character doesn’t shine enough and it come off as mediocre Eventually I picked up some celery and mint character. That didn’t help the beer’s score
