3.4 Pours brown with small head. Aroma is malty and nuty. Taste is bitter and malty.
3.2 Bottle from Liz/Larry. Pours amber body with slight haze and a white head. Bitter with citrus, fruitiness, caramel. Not bad.
3.6 0.5l bottle. Dark golden color with white head. Aroma is malty, herbal, floral and earthy with some caramel. Taste is malty with medium bitterness and light caramel notes.
3.3 Bottle. BBE Sept 2018; Drank Jan 2018 - Clear amber brown in colour. Medium creamy off-white head. Very malty; toasty malts, grainy, caramel, toffee, nutty notes. Fruity; dried fruits, raisins. Spicy; peppery. Hoppy; grassy, slightly earthy hops. Sweetish heavy malty fruity spicy throughout. Very drinkable malty beer. (2018-01)
3.3 Bottle of 50cl, in a Pint; from the fridge @Churchill's. Classic and enjoyable bitter ale, with a little bit more aftertaste than the others. Nice one.
3.0 Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma is grassy, grainy, floral and caramelly. Pours clear brown amber color with medium creamy tan-like head and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts with medium sweet caramel and bread, follows fruity, herbal and slightly medicinal, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is medium bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Not as good as young fresh thumper could be...
3.2 Dark golden colour. Sweet malt caramel smell hint of banana. Toffee and banana on tongue bitter finish. Not bad
3.2 Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into English pint glass. Appearance: Deep blurry honey colour, with small/medium head. Aroma: Malt, (roasted sugar), hint of caramel and alcohol. Palate: Light body; gentle carbonation. Taste: Bitter, malt, hint of raisins/dry dark fruits; aftertaste is “watery” at first, then comes some bitternes. Overall impression: Good, drinkable, pleasantly bitter, tasty.
2.6 Caramel malt aroma , more sweet malt on the tongue, low carbonation, some drying hops on the finish
3.1 50cl bottle, courtesy of my dad. Appearance: clear amber with medium off-white head that dissipates rather quickly. Aroma: caramel, some dried apricot, autumn leaves and something earthy. Taste: above medium sweetness and medium bitterness. Notes of caramel, sweet malts and some dried fruits. Palate: light to medium bodied, watery texture and medium carbonation.
3.1 Bottle 0,50L. Clear copper color with small, frothy, off-white head, that doesn't last long. Aroma of caramel, sweet malts, nuts. Light to moderate bitter taste at the start with nuts and some earthy notes. Finnish is medium bitter with burnt caramel. Medium body, dry texture, soft carbonation. Solid and drinkable ale.
2.0 Amber body with short yellowish head. Aroma and flavour of grains, malt, bread and dried fruit. Herbal bitterness. Medium body and soft carbonization. Nothing special.
3.6 This used to my favourite beer till it was changed from 5.6% to 5.1% abv, this seemed to water down the flavour and take away what made this so good. It's still a nice beer with a nice flavour but I wish they'd bring back the full flavour stronger beer they had.
3.8 Strong ale with a malty aftertaste
2.6 First thing I noticed was how lovely the beer was. Carbonated like a mellow lager. Poured dark Amber. Really quite sweet and malty with a bitter lasting finish. Caramel, dried fruit, raisins, prunes.
4.4 Nice to find a real beer. Having worked in a brewery for 10 years in the sixties I understand what real beer tastes like, and this is real beer.
2.7 Color ámbar, translúcido, con capa de espuma de un blanco sucio de tres dedos de grosor (retención decente). Carbonatación suave. Textura acuosa. Aroma a malta caramelizada, lúpulo floral, reminiscencias de frutos secos. En boca, lo mismo. Ligero amargor final. Típica.
2.5 5.1% alk. Kupljena u Lidlu. Crvenkastno narančaste boje, pjena brzo nestane. Dosta dugo ostaje gorak okus u ustima. OK je.
2.7 Bottle from Lidl, drunk at home. Perhaps a bit too watery, lacking any distinctive character and overdone with bitterness, but nevertheless, better than the endless raft of supermarket beers that infest this country.
2.8 Bottle So this is premium bitter? Meh. Bitterness is there just so so... Some herbs maybe at max. Thx for the point.
2.9 Botella del @Hipercor, Oviedo 11/08/2017 BBD: 31/12/17 Color ambarino corona de espuma blanca, sabores maltosos cereal, ligeramente aspero cuerpo ligero.
3.4 Amber coulered beer with off-white head. Malty aroma with some fruity notes. Taste malty and spicy and a hint of yeast.
1.3 Kupljeno u lidlu...zanimljiva etiketa...i to je sve...pjena je ok..okus los..prelose pivo..
1.0 Boca 0,5L - kupljeno u Lidlu...meni odvratno...cudan okus, još na taj okus nedostaje CO2...fuj
3.1 50 cl. bottle. An amber coloured beer with a small off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, fryiit, hops and sith a strong bitter finush.
3.1 0.5l bottle. Hazy dark golden color with medium white head. Aroma: grainy, bready, caramel, light citrus. Taste: grassy, bready, syrupy. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Moderate grassy bitterness. Average.
3.5 From 500ml bottle. Pours dark ruby brown with some lacing. Aroma of malts, treacle and raisins. Taste is smooth with a medium body and soft carbonation. Malty, dried fruits and not too much bitter. Decent enough beer.
1.0 Taste is too malty, not refreshing and too bitter!hay, grass, barnyard, woody, rotten eggs,
3.8 From old tasting notes. Clear amber orange liquid with a creamy beige head. Spicy mal/hop aroma is slightly complex. Semisweet toasted malt palate that becomes drier as it progresses toward the finish. Bitter aftertaste of medium duration. Well rounded and full bodied.
