Rise Ærø Marstal India Pale Ale

Rise Ærø Marstal India Pale Ale

Danish.

English: Our India Pale Ale is traditionally brewed out of water, pale ale barley malt, dry roasted wheat, hops and brewer’s yeast. The result is a strong, aromatic, extra-hopped and beautiful golden beer. The IPA is a classic sailor’s beer, with an extra addition of the natural conserving element of hops so that the beer could keep though the long sea journey around the Cape all the way to India, when it was a British colony. The joke is of course that the beer was so good that it never made it off the island, and stayed to become a typical English pub beer.

2.8 Sweet and easy with little bitterness. Nodes of elderflower and citrus and and generally very fruity.
2.4 Clear pale IPA with short white head. Aroma of malt and som citrusfruit. Taste is medium sweet with almost no bitternes in the finish.
2.7 Clear pale color with white head. Aroma of malt and citrus(elderflower?). Taste is a bit sweet with light bitter finish. Not a great ipa, but it’s drinkable.
1.9 Bärnstensfärgad klar med vit skum. Doftar och smakar lite maltigt, honung och ingen humle. Konstig smak och absolut ingen ipa..
3.4 Clear golden with small to medium white head; aroma is spicy hoppy, little fruity, malty; taste is sweet fruity, spicy hoppy, slightly citric, spicy hoppy finish, with low to medium bitterness; mouthfeel is thick creamy with medium carbonation
1.8 Flaska från affärn i Danmark. Bärnstensfärgad med vitt skum. Obetydlig doft, lite bröd och citrus i smaken.
2.0 Aroma is weak, malty. Flavor is malty, overly sweet, just a little bitter.
2.4 Klart gyllenbrunt nesten uten skum. Ikke mye som minner om en IPA. Ufrisk duft med noe honning og gress. Smaken bedre, men ikke noe å hoppe i taket for.
0.7 Has NOTHING at all to do with a IPA. Smells a little bit of honey & urine. A total shot to the side, and I am complementing it by calling it a beer...
2.4 Bottle split two ways. Dark golden pour with a frothy head. Notes of artificial stone fruit, esters, syrupy and malty sweet. Meh...
1.5 Bottle. Not a very good beer. The taste is rather flat, bitter in an unpleasant way. Looks like a lager.
3.3 A Danish, amber India Pale Ale with pale ale and wheat malt, and with white head. Aroma is hops, fresh fruit, pine light malt, light yeast. Taste is bitter.
2.9 Bottle @ home w senior. Appearance: pours clear golden with small soapy white head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, floral notes and some citrus hints. palette medium floral hoppy aroma, average carbonation, light oi medium body, low to average sweetness, balanced by an average bitterness, medium duration and a watery texture. Overall: quite decent English ipa.
2.4 50 cl, flaske, 5,5 % ABV, BB: 24/08/16, hjembragt fra Rise Bryggeri på Ærø af Kirsten - tak! 15. september 2015.
2.2 Golden color, white head. Caramel nose, malty, bread, fruity yeast. Sweet taste, malty, fruity, metallic notes. Medium body, soft carbonation. Nothing special and certainly not an IPA.
2.4 Clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is caramel, malt and flowers. Taste is malt, caramel and citrus.
2.7 Small white head, volden chestnut clear colour, malts some fruits but some muffy smell, medium carbonation medium bitter fruity orange citrus like taste
2.6 500 ml bottle at a hostel in Frederiksvaerk, straight from the bottle. Thick, rich, bready, thick fruit notes, faint compost wit low-medium bitter finish
Średnia goryczka, lekka cytryna i słodowe nuty.
1.6 Bottle. Pours clear yellow-amber with little white head, leaving little lacing. The aroma is light malty, some hops. The taste is sweep, little to no bitterness. Not sure why this is branded as IPA.
2.1 Bottle 50cl. Amber with a white head. An interesting aroma of candy (at least some sweetness) and some malt. Not quite what I expected by an IPA. Flavour of english malt. Short finish.
2.5 Copenhagen 23/9 2014. 50 cl bottle from FaktaQuick. Pours gold with small white head. Faint aroma of fruits - peach and lemon. Medium carbonation. Taste is not very IPA. The taste of hops is not very pronounced - more malty than I would expect. Aftertaste is a bit bitter. Strange brew.
2.2 Bottle 500ml @ home Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long caramel and floral finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
3.0 Light golden hazy with a frothy white head. Flowery floral aroma, wet grass with a very faint biscuity malt centre. Softly carbonated, light slick texture. Light-medium bodied with some floral sweetness and a floral hop bitterness. Pretty well balanced, subtle and straight forward yet leaning to the floral side. Finish is medium lasting
2.3 Poured from bottle, semi clear amber with low head. Aroma faint with some citrus and hay. Taste is very mild with some bitterness and some sweetness. Notes of bread, hay and a trace of chemicals. Not very enjoyable.
2.7 Nothing wrong with the drink itself - a bit sweet and not too hoppy beer for women and children - but why did they name it IPA?
Medium konsistens
2.6 Bottle from Føtex. Clear golden with a fully gone off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, sugar and light hoppy - fruity. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. Very light. 290714
