Rittmayer Hallerndorfer Rauchbier

Rittmayer Hallerndorfer Rauchbier

Note: Formerly known as Rittmayer Hallerndorfer Raiterla Rauchbier and Rittmayer Rauchbier. 12°. 38 EBC.

3.6 Aromas a caramelo madera y ahumado Aspecto cristalino caoba poco espuma En boca balanceada ahomado y malta
3.5 Swing-top bottle 50cl. @home into a lager glass. Clear medium amber, tall frothy beige head, half-way lasting, fair lacing; aroma roasted malts, smoked meat, caramel, burnt wood; taste medium sweet and bitter, mild smoked, caramel, retronasal smoke; sweetbitter aftertaste, smoky and earthy notes; medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation; really pleasant rauchbier, easy to drink.
3.5 Light amber, misty, poor foam. The nose is rather gentle, just some crushed peppercorn and some toasted grain. Nice meaty smokiness in the taste, juicy pastrami, with some light caramel and some faint nail polish. Some hints of baked apple, too. Aftertaste has just some light smokiness, but otherwise it’s pretty clean. Refreshing, but it lacks depth. Not as good as the old version.
2.6 Aroma is dominated by caramel with notes of butterscotch. Deep amber in the glass with frothy off-white head. Taste is semi sweet with notes of caramel, some bready touch, dried fruit and gentle smokiness in the background, however beer is bit watery. Nothing special at all, caramel is my enemy in that kind of styles.
