2.7 Hazy golden color with a nice thick head, good lacing. Bready/grain aroma. Floral hops flavor, sweet malt, some bread. Light bitter finish. Nicely carbonated. A pretty good lighter summer beer.
1.8 Aroma is grain, biscuit, corn. Flavor is the same. Lightly hopped. Savory corn finish. Lager yeast. Don’t waste your money, you can get a 24oz. tallboy Budweiser for the same $$.
2.2 Aroma of flour, flowers, and a sour dough. Pours golden and murky. Tastes of bread. Not too exciting.
3.4 Bottle from Half Time. Pours hazy dirty gold with a creamy 4 finger off-white head. Aroma through the foam seems mildly citric. Near med body. Flavor seems bready, mild caramel, a little citrus. Finishes lightly bready, a touch yeasty, and not very bitter. Pretty refreshing on hot day.
1.8 River Horse lager pours a light amber color. The head is tall and pure white. I get a biscuity skunky aroma. The taste is barely malty, pretty well-balanced. There is a chalkiness on the finish.
2.8 Even golden apricot color with a thin white head. Aroma is mild, with a hint of sulfur, Taste is mild with light biscuit receding into mild bitterness. Relatively clean and uninteresting. $2/12oz
3.1 This starts with a slightly sweet, standard lager aroma. Pours a cloudy amber, with a tight white cap of head. This has a mild sweet flavor, very little finish, and just enough carbonation to lift the beer off your tongue. Not a bad beer, but nothing about it stands out.
2.7 bottle: decent pale lager. some grainy notes, corn and butter. But not offensive.
3.0 Deep golden hue. Hoppy, sweet, dry. Thin with a slight sparkle in the aftertaste. Decent.
2.7 Bottle. Bit of haze amber gold color. Aroma is pale malt some fruit. Taste is light bready hint of sweetness. Not great but okay for a pale lager.
2.0 aroma..corn,malts,perhaps other earthy like aromas, hint of generic hops somewhere in there..smells a lot like molson...slightly cloudy yellow with a tinge of orange nice looking off white head with good lacing..tastes like a macro..corn,seltzer water, nondescript malts..watery palate, blandly sweet aftertaste..overall..molson is cheaper
2.8 hazy light amber in color with little head. can taste the cereal grains, very pronounced. other than that a bit watery. better than the macro-brew lagers, but not by much. definitely one to be drank while working on a hot summer day, but not doing much for me tonight.
2.8 Bottle. Amber and cloudy. Small white head. Spicy, hoppy aroma. Very lager-like. Flavor of cereal and hay. Similar to a basic lager. Decent.
3.0 12 oz bottle. Not a bad beer. A malty, cereal like flavor that finishes very clean. Fairly tasty, although a tad boring. Your standard lawn mower beer.
3.0 Clear golden. Not much in the way of flavor or aroma besides a general maltiness. Light hops on the finish. Nothing otherworldly but it’s a good thirst quencher on a hat day.
2.6 MET Supermarket ($11): Pours a light bronzed color with a proper looking white head. Grainy and grassy aroma. A little cheapness thrown in. Beer is a little bit too sweet to be honest. Kind of candy-like. It has that feel that pale lagers do when they are not macro-brewed (I know that is a little vague, but I notice a recurring trend). Grain, and more grain throughout this beer it is found. Someone said this tastes just like Yuengling a few ratings below me and I couldn’t disagree more.
2.5 Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Grainy, cereal like malty aroma. Generally light in the flavor department. Grain/straw with a light sweetness. Not bad.
2.3 I always try this breweries beer and I’m always disappointed. This one has a nice look about it but goes downhill from there. The aroma is funky and the taste is bland. Watery and thin. Not much else to say.
3.5 A beer drinking beer, looking to buy a 12pack or even more. Maybe tailgating or headin to the Jersey shore this is the beer to drink. Have fun throw down a few
2.5 Golden in color, little to no head. Aroma is slightly malty and earthy. Pretty standard. Not much going for this brew. If you told me this was a Yuengling I wouldn’t blink.
3.0 Better than average pale lager. Pours hazy gold. Nose and taste of malts, light breads and earth. Rated 6/29/02
2.4 From a 12 oz bottle in their variety pack. It was a gusher. Fairly standard lager, just too carbonated to really get into it. The only real knock on it is in the palate because of the overcarbonation.
2.2 (12 ounce bottle - pint glass) Pours a cloudy golden light brown color with little head. Aroma is of pale malt. Tastes of pale malt balanced with a light hoppiness. Medium to light bitterness and light sweetness. Watery texture and average carbonation.
2.1 Not a big fan of this brewery in general and the lager isn’t much different. There isn’t much to this brew. Its plain and not very exciting at all.
3.5 pours a hazy hiney color...hint of amber...with a medium sized tight white head. very lively looking. aroma is lightly bready and grainy with a hint of grassiness. flavor is light and earthy, bready at first with grassiness and a touch of spiciness following. mouthfeel is crisp and lively...refreshing with a earthy dry finish. i could drink these all afternoon.
2.9 From a bottle poured a golden color with a fair amount of head. Light malty flavor, very drinkable with a quick finish.
2.2 12oz bottle. Pours a golden color with a decent head that dies quicly. The aroma is very faint, of sweet malts with a grainy trace. A bland flavor with not much going on, there’s some malt, but not much. Flavor is extremely understated and watery.
2.7 Labeled as an "Unfiltered Lager," and now I know why. Too bad I poured it into a glass. Cloudy golden, haze fills the glass as the yeast settles on the bottom. Sorry but the yeast kinda looks funky. I should have stayed with the filtered lager, I guess. Very light lemony aroma, would make a great summer beer.
3.6 There always seems to be a bias against straightforward beers like this lager. Rating the beer within the style, I find this unfiltered lager to be extremely enjoyable and one I come back to often.
2.5 Bottle thanks to Dmac. Pours out a golden color with lively carbonation and a slight white head. Aroma of sticky sweet malts, grain and maybe a slight grassy hop note. Taste is of sweet malts, cereal grain and maybe a touch of hops, but not much. FOr a pale lager, not that bad.
