1.9 A malt bomb. Malt with malt and followed by malt. Rubbish beer, poured mine away
On aime pareil. (1942-180816)
3.0 33cl bottle. Clear amber colour with a nice off-white head. Average retention. Floral, caramel, biscuit and citrus in the aroma. Average carbonation and medium body. Taste is medium sweet with fruity notes. Overall, a nice beer.
2.6 Bottle. Clear amber color With medium creamy White mostly lastning head. Weak malty aroma. Sweet flavor. Watery palate.
Note: 7/10
3.3 Pours with a light head and copper color. Well balanced with a hint of hops. A good beer for a nice afternoon.
2.9 500ml bottle, bb 2017. Pour light amber with only a small cloud. Aroma of sweet caramel malt. Classic taste of British amber beer but with some punch. More bitterness then usual for the style, not as bitter as a bitter, but still more for the style. Same for the alcohol that tickle my tongue. Long sweet and bitter finish, but with an unpleasant metallic taste in the back of my tongue.
3.0 Bottle from Dirty Dick’s, Halifax. Clear amber with no head. Has a light toffee-caramel aroma and taste. It’s fairly strong tasting but this is certainly not overbearing.
3.2 from Au Grain d’Orge, Neuchâtel - clear bronze-orange beer under a moderate foam left; flowers and caramel in the nose; light notes of red fruits; full-bodied, light grainy and bitter, some malt sweetness; the finish is a bit metallic with more notes of grain and red fruits
3.1 Bottle. It pours clear deep golden with a creamy white head. Caramel malts and earthy floral hops in the aroma. The flavor is quite malty and floral hops. Decent.
Kokonaisuus on hieman pliisu. Trooperikaan ei soinut taustalla.
3.2 500 ml bottle. Pours a clear amber with a resilient white head. Aroma is grapefruit, lemon, grass, biscuit. Flavor is biscuit, caramel, cereal. Finish is grapefruit, lemon, grass. Lingering light bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.3 Jun ’16. A 0.33 l bottle. It poured a clear copper body with tiny head atop. Biscuit and orange aroma. Lightly bitter flavor, more hoppy (fruity, floral) than other English bitters. Also malty, caramel, dry biscuit. Medium in body with shorter, very dry paper/herbal finish typical for the style (when tasting I thought it’s an ESB, and it is actually). Not bad, likely a tad better than the regular trooper, although each one has its own qualities.
2.4 Bottle from B&M. Pours amber with a thin off white head. Farty citrus aroma. Citrus, peppery spice and grain taste. Not great.
3.2 500ml brown bottle. Copper colour and bright. Small white head with a creamy tight bead. The nose is malty with caramel and thick bread. Taste has caramel and bready malt with a light fruitiness. Citrus and grass hints, ok late bitterness. Body is a bit thin, carbonation is a bit soft. Overall the beer is just ok, but that bottlecap is amazing.
3.2 Pours a clear amber with a very large off white bubbly head and very good lacing. Smell is of wood, berry, malt, and few hops. Taste is slightly bitter, sweet malt, earth, and some peat. Ends woody and dry.
2.9 330ml bottle. Clear amber colour with small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, white head. Mellow malty, slightly fruity aroma, unspecific fruitiness, a berries and apple touch. Taste is mellow malty, slightly fruity hoppy, minimally papery, hints of gooseberry.
3.0 KRS 250316. Deep golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, fruit, bread. Flavour is apple, malt, alcohol, caramel, fruit, bread, grass. Medium body. Ordinary beer.
3.3 500ml bottle. Pours an average size frothy off-white head that dissipates to a thin bubbly coating. Has a golden amber appearance. Aromas are grainy and grassy. Flavours are mostly malty, sweet and bready malt notes. Barley and hints of earthy hops. Smooth and slick mouthfeel. Not too bad.
3.4 It gets a 5 for appearance because of the badass label. In fact, aroma and taste are kind of irrelevant because it’s Iron Maiden and that makes it cool. Although the beer is not bad...
3.3 Pours a clear golden-amber colour with a warm cap, decent retention and some nice creamy lacing. Aromas of caramel, light alcohol, bready and raisin notes. The taste starts off with apples flavours, going through other fruity malts and some blended grassy hops in the finish with the warming of the alcohol. Not a bad English Strong Ale with enough going on all around. Just a tad too rich to have another.
2.6 0.33l bottle. This is a crystal clear kinda darker wood golden colored with a small but persistent and quite lacing grey head on the top. It has an sweetish caramel-malty aroma. Some champagne soda sweetness and fruitiness. Cola nuts and English yest. I smells quite English to be honest. Like a powerful bitter. I don’t hate it but it’s not directly mine thing either. It doesn’t taste all that good. It’s really metallic and actually somewhat unpleasant to have in the mouth. At least in the beginning. Vegetable bitterness with cabbage, rusty nails and caramel. Feels flat in the taste. On the mouthfeel it’s nice and oily while soft on the bubbles. Just not something I like too much this. 29.01.2016
3.0 Bottle, 0.33l. Pours clear amber color with thin quickly diminishing off-white head and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of grass, bread, mild fruits, toffee and flowers with mild medicinal note. Taste starts with medium sweet toffee, follows grassy and mild fruity, mouthfeel is dry, while finish is moderate bitter. Light to medium body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Not bad, but not even astonishing...
3.1 Worth the price of admission just for the Eddie bottle cap. Not bad, with caramel and toast up front and a hint of bitterness in the finish.
3.0 Bottle@Tuesday Taphouse Bottle Share, Copenhagen - Amber pour with white head. Toasted malty with some notes of caramel and toffee, herbal and twiggy hoppy notes into the close.
2.6 Bottled. An amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, alcohol, and metal. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and metal, leading to a bitter finish.
2.9 33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and slight breadish. Bitter, toasted, herbal, ashtray. Grassy and herbal hoppy dry finish.
3.3 Bottle. Deep copper with a thin white head. Herbal with oranges and fresh baked bread. There was some sweet dough. Taste of dough and light leather. There is some slightly sweet pear. Decent.
