3.1 Can, clear dark golden with medium white head. Some light rust, dark fruit, stale bread, grain, honey, cherry, and malt. After a recent trip to Hogshead in Denver, this esb isn’t cutting it.
3.4 Clear to lightly pale copper/amber pour with a thin white head and a few spots of lacing …. Aroma of caramel malts, light citrusy notes, toasted malts and light toffee … taste is of toffee, caramel malts, bready/biscuity, some light citrusy notes mostly a zesty lemon and rindy orange and a nice toasted malt … very sessionable with a light bitter bite on the backend ….. finish has a citrusy bitter hoppy bite, orange and a little zesty lemon ….. solid bitter with a good balance of flavors, malt forward followed by a bitter hop bite …. Medium bodied
3.3 Bottle from Wine Rack. Pours a clear golden colour with a thin creamy white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee and bread. Taste is caramel, toasty bread and a little peppery spice. An earthy and metallic note on the finish. Thin to medium body, fair carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Not too bad but a bit dull and boring.
3.1 Llauna supermercat consum. Correcta bitter ale anglesa. Maltosa, punt dolça, cos fluix. Amb els seus 4,7 graus, prou bebible
3.4 Aroma of hops, and slight toffee/caramel and also citrus undertones. Tastes hoppy, dry, but also wet. Quite ok 👌🏽
3.0 Bottle from asda. Colour amber , virtually no head. Little aroma. Medium caramel malt (slightly burnt) and medium hops. Very lingering hop taste. Sweetish. Grapefruit , fruity , caramel and toffee taste. Cross between a pale ale and a red ale. Ok beer.
3.4 Poured from 500ml bottle at 4.7% abv. Aroma: Sweet, maybe caramel, medium malt, medium hop, citrus, slightly herbal and bready notes. Appearance: Pours clear, rich amber/copper hue, with small mostly white head and lasting carbonation. Taste: Slight toffee character, rich bready malt, floral/slightly spicy hops, cereals. Short to medium lasting bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with smooth foam, soft to average carbonation, maybe a tiny bit sticky. Overall: Refreshing, tasty and very drinkable British bitter ale. Rich malt and a decent level of hop bitterness without being overpowering. It wouldn't be as iconic without the Iron Maiden brand, but on its own right it's not bad at all, I wouldn't consider it as just a gimmick.
3.1 Aroma is malt with a bit of sweet caramel, pours a clear reddish brown color with a thin tan head. Light in body and flavor, taste is a sweet, with lots of malt character.
3.2 This tastes like a subtle red ale combined with a regular ale. Smells like something sweet and soapy, maybe cake. Tastes are malt, caramel, with a slight bitter metallic tone (the red ale part). Interesting combination.
3.2 Old rating from 2014 - 500ml bottle. Pours amber with a white head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, citrus, flora, herbs, earth, grass, pine, toffee & malts. Medium body. Smooth moderate bitter finish
2.7 Pours a hazy amber color. Aroma of light malt, grass, hops, little citrus. Flavor is light sweet, little bitter, malt, grass, citrus.
4.0 Ámbar oscuro, semi transparente. Espuma escasa en cantidad y retención, normal en estilo. Aroma a Malta, toque a miel.
3.1 Hazy amber color. Not much aroma. Malty bitterness with crisp finish. Medium to high carbonation.
1.9 Stile: Pale Ale Tipo: Bitter Paese: Inghilterra Colore: Bionda
Aroma a malta y caramelo. Sabor ligeramente dulce.
2.7 Cheeky find
2.3 Aroma : Medium toasted sweet caramel maltiness, bitter green hop with a little soapy note. Taste : Body is just a liitle less than medium. Lightly bitter hoppiness throughout. Only actual flavour of note is a weak caramel. Frankly fairly insipid and average
3.1 Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a shaker. Clear pale amber colour, good creamy off-white head, quite stable, light lacing. Aroma toasted malt, caramel, floral hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, caramel, orange peel. Light body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, caramel notes, decent bitter.
3.2 Fles 50cl thuis. Bitter, malttonen, fruitig, redelijk zacht, caramel, rood fruit. (12-9-2020).
Aroma Malta, caramelo, frutal. Sabor ligero amargor con notas dulces, parecido a aroma. Bastante buena
3.1 Bottle courtesy of Daniel, cheers. Pours clear amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, fruity, very slightly nutty. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
2.9 Bottle BBE in 9 months. Light amber with small white head. Sweet aroma or malts, caramel, some metallic notes which is ironic or maybe deliberate considering the Iron Maiden links. Taste is similar. Light body, a bit watery for a premium bitter, moderate carbonation. A slight dry bitterness to finish which is pleasant. Balance is good but I'm just not blown away by it.
2.0 Bottle thanks to Joe. Pours a hazy copper with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is toasted malt and raisin. Thin body, bready malt, metallic finish, not much with this one.
3.2 Pours an amber colour beer with a white thin white head Notes of citrus fruits and strawberries fruits Bottle version
3.0 Pours clear amber. Strong visible carbonation. Head does not last long. Decent toasted bitterness.
