4.6 I really enjoy this when offered on tap. Nice malty pine aroma, malt heavy flavor backed by ample amounts of piney reisinous hops. Caramel toffe some fruitiness.
3.7 "pretty solid...considerably better than american amber from Rogue, great malt set-up and bitter finish...not as aromatic as i’d like, but worth a try. too expensive for a 3.7."
3.7 330ml bottle served in a pint glass. A: Pours a copper amber color. A bit cloudy. Forms a huge creamy and soapy beige head that leaves tons of lacings in the glass. Head is creamy and solid and never disappears S: Sweet caramel malts upfront. Strong American herby, flowery and a bit piny hops. A bit fruity too T: Slightly sweet upfont. Strong notes of crystal and caramel malts. A bit metallic sensation. Very smooth in the mouth. Balanced bitterness. Notes of toffee and bready yeasts M: Light body. Very good carbonation. Caramel and flowery hops aftertaste O: Great drinkability. Rogue quality [ BA Review @ 11/4/2013 ]
3.9 Less balanced than I would’ve liked, but at least the hop character was tasty. Lots of pine, some light tropical fruit, and a resin finish.
3.8 Ambrée/rouge, mousse beige moyenne. Nez de houblons résineux et caramel. Bouche sur les aromes de pins, résine, pamplemousse. Forte amertume, bonne longueur en bouche, carbonation moyenne, corps moyen.
3.3 Bottle at Zoo Brew. Pours a hazy amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges slowly and laces. Aroma has lots of bread and sweet grain notes with hints of caramel and resin. Flavor has lots of sweet grain and cookie with a bit of resin underlying.
3.6 I had this at Global Brew. Pours Amber with off white head. Taste caramel, malt, pine. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again.
3.3 22 oz bomber. Ruby in color with a huge head. Fruity nose, lots of hoppy astringency. Medium body, with a spicy finish.
3.0 Bottle. Amberish in color with a medium head. Aroma and taste remind me of an IPA.
3.4 22oz bomber. Pours a strong clear burnt orange with moderate head and medium lacing. Strong aroma, lots of complex malts, smells awesome. The taste unfortunately isn’t quite as good, the hops really mask and cover up the bready flavors. The palate is fine, bitterness is long. Overall, points for originality, but not my favorite overall.
3.1 Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Murky coppery red with a significant amount of suspended and floating sediment, a 1-finger khaki head and very good lacing. Aroma of caramel, bread, toast, pine and fruit. Taste of caramel, pine, toast, bread, lemon and earthy herbs. Light/medium body and high/medium carbonization. I'm tolerant of a little sediment, but I don't enjoy picking large chucks out from between my teeth.
3.5 Amber colored with a thin white head. Strong aroma of freshly mowed grass. Bitter and flowery flavor with decent balance. Very nice.
3.1 BOTTLE. Big head that disappeared quickly, poured red/brown. Malt heavy on the nose, with your typical "red/amber" ale taste, with a bit more malt. medium standard body, Finished with a crisp bite. Sourced from Cellarbrations Capel
3.0 12 fl oz bottle. Pours amber-red with off-white head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is hoppy pine and caramel. Flavor is similar to nose. Body is watery. Finish is pine bitter. Overall: ok brew, I guess fresher sample would be better.
3.1 Shared by martjoobolut, thanks! Murky reddish brown beer, tan head. Nose is caramel, malt, fruity notes. Flavor is berries, toasty malt, hops. Dry hoppy finish. Lingering breadiness and hops. Very easy to drink.
3.6 This defines session ale! Pours a fantastic murky red w/ a tan head that leaves a fair amount of lacing. The aroma is pretty bready and malty. The taste is exceptionally clean while carrying a quite nice malty flavor. It’s a delight on the palate and very smooth! Possibly the best amber I’ve ever had!
4.0 nice colour nice malty aroma and a really good hoppy finish a great beer that is one to try
4.1 Malty caramel slightly hopped aroma. Thickish amber body. Beautiful caramel malt to taste, balanced with just the right amount of hops. Great mouthfeel and a nice amount of carbonation. Bittersweet morish aftertaste. Very enjoyable
3.9 Bottle. Hazy orange/copper body with a tall head. Aroma has American hops and even something bready. Rich malty taste with plenty of hops. Finish is dry and caramelly, at times revealing hints of dark chocolate. Very good.
3.6 Dark cloudy copper colour with a creamy white head. Great fruity hoppy aroma with caramel, licorice, blood orange, mandarin, mango. Medium, slightly watery body. Balanced flavour with caramel, grapefruit, orange.
3.6 Bona cervesa, equilibrada i gustosa. Buena cerveza, equilibrada y sabrosa.
3.7 Bottle at home. Pours reddish brown, light dried fruit, floral, toffee, bitter, dry.
3.4 Bottle- pours hazy ruby with an off white head. Sugary caramel with some fruit and orangey citrus hops aroma. initial slight sweetness followed by a lingering dry bitter finish. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Nicely balanced beer.
5.0 Close to perfect. Words fail me (and I am an English teacher!)
3.5 Red colour. Hoppy caramel aroma. Taste is malty, caramel, citrus hops, light body.
3.9 Reddish color, very hoppy aromas (for an amber ale). Typical amber taste with a hoppiness at the end. Sweet dry aftertaste. Nice one.
3.5 Bottle from Erzbierschof - Reddish/amber color with a small beige head - Aroma is caramel, malty, fruity, red fruits, Citrusy and resinous hops - Flavor is the same - Light body, medium bitterness, medium carbonation, medium citrusy caramel finish
3.8 This pours out a weird, rocky head that eminates a sweet, earthy aroma. Dry and very hoppy, with dashes of lime, malty sweetness, and decaying petals. A very nice hop showcase.
3.5 Backlog. Bottle at Green Lion. Caramel with some tropical fruits, citrus and black tea.
