2.7 Sampled @ Danish Summer Gathering 2015 Leicht trübe goldgelbe Farbe. Geruch dezent nach Honig, süß. Geschmack sehr süß, Honig, einfach zu trinken.
3.4 Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are honey, malt, fruits, citrus and hops.
2.1 Laffer Honigantrunk, was durch die Karbonisierung noch einmal geschmälert wird. Möglicherweise vorhandene Kräuternoten fallen hinten über, minimal herb, auch eher unpassend. 9/7/7/7/11/7
2.5 Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear yellow without head. Aroma is sweet, honey and herbal. Flavor is medium sweet. Sweet finish. 290815
2.5 At Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2015 in Ulfborg. Day 2. Clear pale golden, no head. Honey aroma, almond, caramel, tea notes, floral, some grapes. Honey flavor, grapes, tea, floral. Quite strange.
3.5 Sampled at 8th Danish Ratebeer Gathering, Ulfborg 2015, day 2. Clear pale golden color, small white head. Smell and taste honey, apple, pear, moderately dry. Average body and carbonation.
3.2 Almost clear light gold. Thin dissipating white head. Pleasant honey. Light jasmin. A fruitiness that comes across as blueberry to me. Straw. Thin. Light. More like a beer that is ’mead inspired’ than a mead.
3.7 Light, slightly sour. Slight funky aroma, a bit much for me but not too bad. Pear, champagne accents, decent
3.0 Draft - Light floral hone. Clear light gold. Floral light honey notes, with a long finish. Light body and very floral.
1.8 Looks really watered down, tastes really watered down, at 5.2% it might actually be watered down. Not a good representation of mead.
2.2 Weak and looks like urine. Tasted at rogue house. Wouldn't get again. The lavender shines thru to help at the end.
4.8 Really nice mead. Not really strong but very good and sweet taste. Not filling so a pint is enough for a good time 😊
3.0 Poured a golden straw colour with a thin white head. Aroma of honey, floral tea leaves, and lavender. Flavor is an earthy/ herbal honey with a tart flavor. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Dry finish
3.1 Pour on tap, slightly hazy golden pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of some tea, floral, herbal notes with a hint of honey, slight vanilla into a bit of watery yeast. Taste was a mix of honey, vanilla and slight fruit into some floral, earthy notes with a touch of herbs, finishing slightly tart, slightly sweet.
3.2 Pours slightly hazy pale straw color with white head. Aromas of fruit, honey, and some alcohol. Tart apple and honey flavors with some floral notes. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation.
3.6 Pours a honey yellow color with a thin white foam head. Aroma is honey and lots of jasmine tea and floral notes. Flavor is lightly sweet honey, and a little bit of jasmine. Drinks more like a crisp, refreshing blonde than a mead, and maybe that’s why it has such a low score. I enjoyed it.
2.5 Tallahassee, Fl. - Whole Foods Market - 22 oz bomber. Hazy, light golden initial bubbly white head. Aroma is not very apparent but when picked up is not unpleasant - light hints of green tea and honey, some floral hints. Flavor is rather bland, light hints of honey, some glue-like oddness, a bit of green tea, but overall kind of dusty and bland. Mouthfeel is dry and uneventful. Disappointed, usually a Rogue fan.
1.1 This is not a typical rouge product. Cloudy, sour this is not mead also alcohol content is extremely low for mead at around 5 percent. Pass on this one
2.5 pours unclear very pale yellow without a head, slightly carbonated - some low sized bubbles surfacing. strong perfumey honey - buckwheat-like, very flowery - jasmine i guess, sweet green apples - gala type and pears too, linear sweetness, yeast, tree gum, lightly grassy and astringent, peppery, metal traces. light carbonation, light body, linear sweet finish. blah.
2.6 Pours a hazy light yellow colour with a small white cap, stays just a bit and gives out a little lacing. Not a fan of the aromas, as reminds me of earwax. In the back is the sweet honey and apples relaxing this. Thankfully, in the taste, this not there (not sure if the Jasmine is responsible, but I no like). Not really sweet, which was expected. The honey is mild and apples are the strongest thing here. Mild perfume in the finish. Quite refreshing for mead. Too bad for the smell.
3.4 Couleur dorée avec presque aucun col mousseux. Aromes floral, jasmin, pommes, céréales, agrumes. Assez complexes. Manque un peu de balance. Interessant. Très sous-évalué selon moi.
3.6 650ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden body, small white head, residual foam with good retention. Intense carbonation. Aroma of jasmine, pears, honey, acacia, green tea. Taste of jasmine and green tea, bosc pears, honey, grains. Very refreshing.
3.6 Bottle. Golden with a honey like sweetness. Smooth and quite easy to drink but not really my thing. Would not drink again.
3.1 Just started a replay of Skyrim & it feels obligatory to drink some mead in that virtual land of ice & snow. I’m far from an expert on the style, but this turns out better than expected. The pour causes a roar of carbonated applause, so loud I thought it’d wake up my baby. Taste is somewhere between subtle honey & tart ginger ale. Worth trying. And the rating score here is way too low.
3.8 650ml bottle 6.6% ABV (as marked on bottle) Royal Bank Plaza LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) September 24, 2014 The mead pours a hazed golden yellow with a minimal white head and plenty of effervescence. The aroma is honey, light fruit, grains, and spices. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is very honey strong, with some herbs, grains, and light fruit rounding it out. I like the strong honey presence.
3.6 Bottle: Poured a pale yellow color mead with a nice pure white bubbly head with some retention. Aroma of light floral honey notes with some jasmine notes is quite delicate. Taste is also dominated by light floral honey notes with some subtle jasmine notes. Body is light with great carbonation. I enjoyed the balance of this mead and the fact that there was not too much residual sugar notes.
3.0 650 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a murky honeyish orange/yellow with thin white head. Aroma is sweet honey, fruit and some flowers. Flavour has sweet honey comb, some fruity yeastiness and a little floral character. Pleasant enough.
1.4 Ummmm... Can’t believe this is a Rogue product. Pours a pale straw with NO HEAD. Pours like a Sprite or any cheap soda. What little aroma there is smells fresh. That’s about the peak of this beer. Taste has no balance. It’s all sweet and sour. It’s lemonade and Sprite. Palate is sticky and pasty. I hate it.
2.7 Poured from 650mL bottle. Hazy pale yellow with white head. Very cider-like. Lots of honey and quite floral, mild tea qualities. Quick finish, light body.
2.4 22 oz bottle. Aroma: obviously strong honey, but also floral with hints of SweetTarts candy. Taste/Palate: feels thin for a mead; starts sweet, bubbly, and crisp, and finishes tart and sweet, with a slight dryness in the aftertaste. This was an interesting experiment, but it?s not one I need to try again anytime soon.
