3.3 Bomber - Poured a quite clear darkish amber n color with a small white head that very quickly faded to a thin rim around the beer. Aroma is of grassy hops and malty sweetness. Flavor is lightly citrus, but also slightly sweet. Hops and bitterness in the finish. A bit over carbonated. Good... worth repeating.
3.2 Bomber. Rating from memory. Pours hazy golden yellow with foamy white head. Aroma is grassy, lemon and light malt. Flavor is sweet malts, lemon, grassy and a touch of hops. Mediam bodied. Decent beer just didn’t gel with my palate.
3.5 Poured from a 22oz bomber and served in a pint glass. This beer poured golden with a very slight haze and a decent head of soapy, off-white foam. Some light lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of lightly sweet and toasty pale malts, and also freshly mown grass. The flavor contained grass, light citrus, and sweet malts. Moderately crisp and bitter. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with ample carbonation. A solid pilsner. I would gladly drink this again.
3.7 22oz bottle. Pours hazy, golden yellow with a fizzy white head, no lace. Smells super sweet and malty, very nice. Tastes sweet malty and citrusy hoppy, nice hop presence on the taste. Full body, good carbonation.
3.0 Murky yellow color with some foamy head. Sterling hops seem good, but I would have liked to have more of them in this brew because it just tastes like an average pilsner. Sorta tastes like a better version of Labatt.
3.1 Yellow and clear with an ok head. Too light for a Marzen and a little cloudy for a pilsner. Slight smell of bananas.
3.1 Rogue Überfest Pilsner is a cloudy, blonde lager with a fluffy white head that leaves great lacing. It has a grassy, lemony aroma with notes of bread and malt. It has a medium-light body. It’s smooth with a crisp finish. It is simple, amply bitter, has good balance and tastes a bit lemony. It’s a little plain, but the Sterling hops are unique. Not bad.
3.7 22 0z. bottle, golden yellow color with a soapy head with some lacing, nose is very tangerine and mandarin orange, very sharp, bright citrus flavors, body is a little thick but still very good
3.9 This is a pilsner? Best pilsner I’ve ever tasted! Everything about it is more like and ale than a pilsner. It is a brilliant gold color, almost the color of an Abby Triple, rather than a pilsner. Its head has a fair amount of persistence and leaves nice lacing, also ale-like. Its nose is mostly of yeast, but its a clean, fresh smell. The taste is sweet, like white wine, again, more like a Belgian ale than a pilsner. A bitter and clean hop bite is also apparent in the taste. Finally, it has one last un-pilsner like characteristic: It has a bitter/sweet (with emphasis on the sweet) malty/hoppy finish. Now that I can get them here (Covington, Louisiana), I’m really becoming a big fan of Rogue brews!
3.1 A very nice American style pilsener. Malt, grain, biscuits, balance by dry hops, citrus, and floral notes. Refreshing and easy to drink.
3.4 Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy bright golden color with a huge white head that lingered forever. The aroma was strong tangy malty and dry spicy hops. The flavor was dry, crisp, lightly malty and had a very nice crisp floral and spicy hop presence. The finish was long with dry floral hops. Very nice for a Pils.
2.9 Hazy golden with large white head. Sweet fruity aroma with notes of hops and caramel. Sweet and fruity flavor with hoppy and malty notes. Ends slighly bitter.
3.4 22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a diminished white head. Light orange fruity note and mild malt aroma. Flavour is mild fruity with a light orange fruity note. Light fruity finish with a continued light orange fruity note.
3.5 Botella. Takk fyri at deila hesa BelJohansen. Pours a hazy deep golden colour. NIce mild hoppy bit sweet aroma. Good soft mothfeel. The flavour is a bit sweet with a nice bitterness. malt and some citrus. Bit dry and malty finish. Tasty pilsener.
2.9 Bottle. [Courtesy of BelJohansen, thanks buddy] Average fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Cloudy golden colour. Aroma of mild grass, citrus and flower. Some grain and caramel. Light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Light sweet and bitter flavour. Light sweet malty finish.
2.4 I split this beer with my dad. My pour (first) was clear and bland and just overall very similar to a macro lager. His was cloudy, had some hop bite and grassiness, but not much more than mine. Neither tasted very "imperial" nor did anything to wake me up from my boredom. Very disappointing.
3.3 A nice pilsener. Aroma was decent. A disticnt beer smell with a nice hoppy addition. Pour was a murky gold with a one finger white head. Taste was just like a pilsener should be. Tasty and hoppy with just a hint of light malt. Nice carbonation and easy to drink. Makes me wish I was taking a break from cutting the grass.
2.8 22 oz. bottle. Pours deep golden in color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma is herbal grassy hops over top of bready biscuity malts. The flavor has a mild sweetness, biscuits, a hint of fruit, and some straw. The body is light medium, the finish is a touch on the dry side. This is certainly not my style.
3.4 Courtesy of Juart. Pours a clear golden orange color. Small fizzy white head. A sweet cotton candy nose with some caramel and just a hint of bitterness. A pretty malty deep caramel flavor lacking in a lot of tradition pils characteristics. A bit of the bitterness, but with a floral / pine hop as well. A decent body with moderate thickness.
3.2 Hazy golden with a big creamy head. Malty aroma with some fruity hops. The flavours are grass and some pine with a sweet malty base. Harmonic.
3.1 22 oz. bomber from the Deep Creek Haul. Shared with Naka. Pours a light coppery yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly. Nose is caramel and chocolate with some clean hop hints. Taste is of caramel, toffee and a touch of chocolate with a mild hop crispness at the end. Not very Pilsner-ie. Not a bad beer. Body is decent. Tasty.
3.0 pours hazy gold, medium off-white head, reasonable lacing. mildly grainy nose with a hint of hops. hint of malt in the taste, and some mild hops too! medium bodied, with a slightly bitter hoppy finish. and enjoyable pilsner, with an enjoyable load of hops. who knew?
3.5 From a 22oz Bottle. Mostly transparent, honey golden colored pour with a thick layer of fizzy white head. Uniquely satisfying floral-citrus hop aromas, bringing forth notes of key lime and clementine zest. A pleasant maltiness shows off some biscuit and caramel tones, but sadly, the specialty malts seem to shroud the cleanness of the pilsener malt a bit too much. Light bodied, sparkling mouthfeel with a cleansing hop freshness. Flavors of crusty bread, biscuit, and restrained caramel come out of a healthy malt base. Again, while the flavors are quite good, the pilsener malt characters remain a bit hidden. A pleasing orange blossom, gently citrus hop bitterness comes across cleanly in the finish, providing a satisfyingly fresh final smack.
2.9 bottle. average creamy white head (mostly dissapating) with decent lacing into semi-clear semi-sparkling orange body. aromas of light floral hops, light grass, and very light malts. flavor was lightly bitter. Overall this beer was light. finish duration is short, texture is watery. actually if you want a very light beer with a bit more to it.
3.7 (22 oz. bottle from Gary’s Beverage) Nice and balanced...Pours lightly hazy yellow-gold with a tall, foamy off-white head. Aroma of honey, yeast and some light vanilla. Mouthfeel is smooth and sturdy, very lightly prickly. Rings of lacing are foamy but solid. Flavor is lightly sweetish maltiness - notes of honey, light egg and vanilla - overlain by a nice lightly piney bitterness. Perhaps more hoppy than a typical pilsner but certainly not overboard. Finishes with a nice light-medium bitter bite and lightly honey and bitter aftertaste. A very nice solid beer and I think a bit underrated.
3.6 22 oz bottle pours a slightly coludy golden color with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavor of sweet malt and a nice hop bitterness.
3.1 Yellow and clear with an ok head. Too light for a Marzen and a little cloudy for a pilsner. Slight smell of bananas.
3.1 650 ml bottle. Pours a brilliant golden copper with a copious white head. Floral, rather fruity nose with a malty profile. Medium body. Initially dry with bread and fruit against citrus background. Finish is semi-sweet and lingering.
3.1 [779-20071020] 1pt6floz. Mild alcohol straw aroma. Clear, light golden orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Bitter straw flavour is not offensive but still missing something. Medium body is a little bitter. Rather mild beer.
3.1 Light medium gold pour with a small white head. Smell is light malt similar to apple juice. Taste is smooth, mild hops and malt balancing well. Very light bitterness overall and a friendly pilsner. I’d like a bit more crisp hoppiness in this, but its still nice.
