3.4 7 OZ Bottle in Omaha, NE. Poured a cloudy brown color with medium head. Aroma of caramel malt and some floral hops. Sediments floating in beer. Very malty flavor with some floral hop backbone. Medium-light bitter. Texture on creamier side. Bitter finish. A hoppy ale with a big malty side. Pine notes too. Not a good score for appearance. Would get again though.
3.5 Little 7oz. bottle, as an "omake" (freebie) from Asahiya. Sweetened prunes, raisins, some fumes. Thick hazy dark amber color, little head, good lace. Creamy sweet malt / little change in mid/ well-balanced throughout and in finish. Medium body. Quite good, but curiously inert. Has a smooth layer of warming and syrupy sweetness.
3.3 Bottle. Love the tiny bottle this came in. This was one of the more interesting beers I've had. Tons of flavors behind the bitterness, but the bite is a bit too aggressive to enjoy all of those flavors, which is a shame.
3.7 It’s a bottle I got at Asahiya. I love these tiny 7 oz bottles. Honestly, I’d rather buy a 3-pack of these rather than a 22oz bomber. This size is perfect for sipping high-ABV beers on your own... It pours a great amber brown with a thin beige head and a huge wafting aroma of malty caramel which is mouth watering. The taste is rich, toffee, caramel malt goodness with a crisp bitter finish. Very nice.
3.5 Bottle - aroma is bourbony with some sweetness. Taste is a little boozy with some smokiness. Overall, pretty good.

3.3 XS bottle into a tulip. Deep amber without much of a head. No lacing. Aroma is sweet malts. Taste is meaty, chunky, sweet malts. Slight hop bite that helps balance things out. Not bad. Not noteable.
2.7 Bottle in NYC sept 2012. Yellow/brownish muddy beer with a small offwhite head. Fruity and malty aroma. Alcohol flavour that really takes over. Some dark fruit notes maybe...
4.4 Pours a hazy medium brown color with a decent lasting head. Scent has a mixture of semi-sweet malts and bitter hops. Taste is rather smooth and mild and works it’s way to a bold ending. Has a smooth caramel taste that ends in a dry sightly bitter taste. Very well made and tasty I just can’t understand why they put such a good tasting beer in only a 7oz bottle. Definitely worth trying!
3.3 Bottle. Pours a hazy ruby amber with a small beigh head. Sweet fruity malty aroma with caramel and pine. Flavor was lighty sweet & mildly bitter with caramel, fruit, pine and alcohol.
4.0 Got a 10oz bottle from specialty shop. Pours an amber deep reddish hue with minimal head. Fairly hazy. Aromas of sweet caramel and dough, alcohol too. Quite sweet and malty, caught me off guard. Good dose of bitterness too, but not as I expected. I think it’s probably quite bitter but the level of sweetness brings it back a bit. Lively carbonation. Good medium body. Very good beer, just not what I expected.
3.9 Draft at Eulogy. Clear dark copper pour with a light foamy head. Dark toasted red fruits. Raisin pie with a burnt crust. Caramel popcorn. Sugar plums. Dried figs. Charcoal grilled strawberries. Christmas candy sugar clear toys. Dark and red but finishes very clean. Took a moment to decide that I really do like it quite a bit.
3.6 Aroma is that of grass and earth. Appears as a dark cloudy amber with nearly no foam. Tastes like it smells; grassy and earthy. Very unique flavor that doesn’t let you forget about it even after you’ve swallowed. A good beer poured from a 7 oz bottle bought on clearance. Excellent choice but not worth paying much more than $2.
3.9 Hazy amber-brown body with an off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops, with some honey and caramalts. Heavily bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Powdery dry mouthfeel with some alcoholic touches. Very refreshing. Excellent one.
3.3 Amber with a small white head - malty aroma along with hops - Taste has some caramel form the malts along with a nice hop bitterness - the hop continues into the finish - this was nice
3.0 Bottle. Cloudy gray/amber beer with a sma but lasting creamy head. Malty fruity, vinous aroma, dades, raisins, plums, apples, grapes, some plum. Malty settish flavor, nuts, alcohol, grapes, raisins, some banana. Too much alcohol.
3.2 Pours a cloudy orange unfilterd color. Nose Is lots of malty caramel. Taste is a caramel malty ness. Overall another great beer from rogue.
3.1 Sampled from a 7oz shorty bottle into a nonic pint glass, thanks gregwilsonstl. It poured a mostly clear amber color with weak beige head, no lace. Very hoppy aroma: grapefruit and other citrus rind, flowery, earthy, and malty underneath. High-gravity but neutral fermentation, lacking any fruity ale complexity, typical of Rogue. Tasted of strong caramel malt backbone with equally strong bittering and flavor hops, not much else. Not sure what they were going for here, but they cranked it to 11 as usual. Just kinda boring this time.
3.7 Dark brown. Nice head. Quite bitter, but not overwhelming. Very rich. There is nothing to this except for bitterness.
3.3 Bottle 7 oz, Total Wine & More. Pours murky amber with a small bubbly tanned head leaving some lacing. Aroma is fruity malty a bit sweet bready citric. Flavor is malty sweet toasted in front, more bitter bready fruity from middle to end finishing with a dryish malty and fruity aftertaste.
3.4 On tap @ Chuck’s 85th. Pours cloudy amber with thin lingering head. Aroma is thin, faint hop notes. Taste is sweet caramel malt with rich smooth body. A hint of hops on the finish. Pretty good for the style, but lacking in hops for my taste.
3.7 750ml ceramic swingtop bottle pours a hazy golden color with a 2 finger white head that settles to reveal some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is light caramel with some citrus and earthy notes. Taste is a caramel malty sweetness with a generous citrus and earthy hop bitterness. Medium bodied with some nice carbonation leaving a pleasant feeling on the palate. A very robust ESB that is very tasty and highly recommended.
3.8 Cask. Nice golden creamy looking beer. Big buttered biscuits and English hop bitterness.
4.0 Non c’è niente da fare questo birrificio non sbaglia un colpo! buonissima sapotiritissima bella e con un retrogusto potente! Ottima birra!!!
3.7 7oz bottle pours perfectly into a stupid little hotel glass. Hazy to the point of murky. Aroma of butterscotch. Taste is bittersweet toffee. Quite creamy.
3.5 Cask at Horse Brass. Aromas are caramel and toffee. Tastes is classic ESB with a punch. Very well done and scary good.
3.2 XS Bottle. Pours hazy copper with an off-white film on top. The aroma is fairly caramel malt forward with a little bit of a booziness. Taste is on the sweet side with a lot of that caramel taste and a little alcohol warmth on the finish. There is also some bitterness on the finish. This is pretty good.
4.1 On tap at Amundsen Golden slightly hazy, good foam Well integrated hops in bitterness Medium body & high complexity Very enjoyable with some fruity flavours
3.3 20th September 2009 Hazy amber beer. Softish palate but with a carbonated sting. A little creamy malt and then mild hop bitterness. Quite minerally. Decent but lacking something, perhaps a little watery. Hard to criticise but doesn’t make the top tier.
3.6 (7oz bottle) Cloudy brown-copper with a small tan head. Toasted caramel malt aroma, sweet; pine hops. Flavor is very sweet and moderately bitter; lots of fruit up front (orange, grape, apple), acidic, pine notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Alcohol is surprisingly evident.
