3.6Can. One-dimentional hop aroma. Moderately thick mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Can’t really judge appearance without being able to decant, which was disappointing.
3.4Can sourced from Toft Vin, shared at home with the fam - golden amber pour with white head. Sweet fruity and malty with a sweet caramel malty base, some tangerine and peach notes, hoppy bitter finish.
3.5Copenhagen 10/6 2017. 35,5 cl bottle from Brønshøj Vinhandel, Brønshøj Torv. Yellow version of the Rogue label. Hailing guy in red outfit with clenched fist and Black dog.
Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with big white head. Settles as 2 cm thick pillowy head. Massive Lacing.
Aroma is kind of weak. Lightly fruity, bitter. As the beer warms up it gets stronger with exotic fruit, light fermentation and citric notes.
Soft carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by strong bitterness. Aftertaste is rather bitter with semi dry finish.
An not overly aggressive IPA which never the less has a nice distinctive bitterness. Should be drunk lukewarm to get all the nuances. .
4.1Bottle from Drygate. You still don’t get them quite like this over in the UK. Dry, piney hops in the nose and even more dryness in the glass and in the mouth. Chewy, resinous, ever so slight malt. Great depth and a long bitter finish. Refined. Robust. Yes.
3.1Beautiful burnt orange appearance with low density short off white head. Slight citrus influenced aroma (oranges). Fruit almost completely absent up front, leading to dry bitterness. Slightly unbalanced. Long dry finish.
3.7Solid, old school American IPA. Not fruity, but with good maltbase and hops to balance. Great.
Troszkę chmielu, dużo słodu (znowu pięknie zbalansowana mieszanka) i niezamęczonych ciężką pracą drożdży. Bez WOW, ale naprawdę fajnie. Ameryka Panie.
3.6Bottle. Hazy amber pour with tan head. Aroma is sweet with rain and grass. Taste is medium bitter in quite a malty base. Medium carbonation. Medium heavy body
3.522oz bottle poured at home.
No bottling date, might an odl bottle aroma is missing a little.
Overall, good - not great
3.4Pours hazy orange from the bottle. The frothy white head soon reduces to whispy white lacing. The aroma is orange peel, light pine, faint caramel, quite nice. A bit restrained compared to the majority of IPAs I’ve sampled lately. Taste is mildly bitter with mild sweet caramel undertones. Medium bodied with adequate carbonation. This is an okay beer in a workmanlike sort of way, but overall uninspired.
2.8355ml bottle (bb 30 Apr 2017) at home on 18 Mar 2017, from Drygate Bottle Shop, Glasgow, floral, pine aroma, golden amber with a marginal haze and thin short-lived bubbly white head, floral, aromatic, spicy, powdery.
3.8Bottle from Total Wine. Pours mandarin orange with a very minimal cap. Nice tropical fruit basket style ipa: pineapple, juicy citrus, a bit of oozing resin bitterness. A real nice late afternoon drinker. Really good showcase of what an ipa can be.
3.813 Mar 2017, can. sweet, grassy, some pineapple. thin body and moderately fizzy. mildly bitter, grassy hops, faintly sweet. nice.
3.3From a 16 oz. can and it is a clear golden color with an off white head. The aroma is malty and the taste is strong and bitter with hints of grapefruit rind and has a bitter finsh.
3.6From a 16 oz. can. Pours a hazy copper with an off white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of tropical fruit and citrus. Bitter finsh.
3.5I bought a single 12 oz. bottle to try at home. My experience with Rogue brews has not been the best but maybe things are changing. It poured a brilliant yellow and gave a very good foamy head along with great bubble activity. The scent is fairly light, perhaps some citrus and then some straw. The taste is better, a really strong hop hit on the front end. It proceeds with a touch of vanilla sweetness and a long trail of moderate bitterness. All in all, a very decent delivery.
3.7Deep yellow with white head. Sweet malt aroma with notes of bread along with strong hoppy notes of hay, grass and citrus fruit. The taste is medium sweet with light flavor notes of caramel that is quickly overtaken by hay and grass hop flavors along with a strong bitterness that lingers in the finish and aftertaste. Less overly fruity or piney than many other american IPAs I’ve had, and a more subtle yet destinct hop aroma. I like that the bitterness is surprisingly strong compared to the aroma.
3.9Steh ich drauf. Optisch noch der Ockergetreideman. Stark WITiger Smell und massive Alphapower lassen Hopheads lächeln. Stumpfo, too :). 0,1/1 Bon. BRAUKUNST LIVE. Bottle.
3.2An orange colored clear beer with a creamy beige head. Caramel sweet malts and an interesting spice hop aroma. Sweet bread and mild citrus, plenty of bitterness. Not bad but in a ridiculously crowded IPA market, this isn’t more than above average.
3.5Good beer, second even better than the first. A little low on carbonation but made up by aftertaste. Mouthfeel just not that.
3.7The name alone is worth a smile and a conversation. The taste is crafty and hoppy. One of the best Rogue beers that I have tasted.
3.2Bottle from boxbeers.dk. Pours hazy yellow with average big, creamy, off-white head. Malty aroma, note of caramel, touch of pepper. Taste slighty bitter, almost harsh level at the end of the sip, but leaves some place for herbs and wood. Dry finish.
3.3Golden gelb im Glas, klar, hopfig leicht süßlich in der Nase, schöner Körper, Angenehme bittere im Abgang
3.504-02-17 // bottle at Sixties, Mainz. Pours a hazy golden beer with a solid head. Nose is fruity hoppy. Taste is sweet malty with an intense hoppy bitterness.
3.6Pours a cloudy amber orange color. About one finger ivory colored head, some cascading action. Odd. Good head retention, good lacing. Good looking beer.
Aroma is lime. Biscuit. Caramel. Citrus hops. Buttered popcorn. Smells somewhat bitter.
Taste is lime, lime peel. Maybe a little apricot. Lots of hops. Here and there and everywhere. Bitter, but not very. Some maltiness, but overwhelmed by hops. Some orange. Starts bitter, finishes bitter. Light pine resin on the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Lots of hoo oil and resin linger to make this bitter and lingering bitter. Feels like IBUs are much higher than 70. Dry, and very crisp. Each sip takes two swallows. It’s that bitter.
Overall, it’s pretty good. More bitter than expected. Good beer. I’d recommend it, and I’d buy it again.
