An English Ale with a distinctive flavour of dark toffee and caramel combined with a crisp bitterness derived from using rare Bramling Cross hops. Tropical and berry fruits from the mix of hops, in particular the rare Bramling Cross which adds black and redcurrants. Challenger in the boiling copper gives robust bitterness and this is balanced by the sweetness from the pale and crystal malts.

1.1 500ml bottle from Tesco, Watford and drunk on 09/05/2007. Crikey, I remember having a bottle of this some years prior, when it still had a peal off top, and don’t remember it being so bad. This was simply a greAt example of terrible, pasteurised bottled bitter.
3.0 500 ml can from Systembolaget. Clear amber with white head. Smooth and malty with bread, caramel, fruit and grass. Semi dry with medium bitterness and soft carbonation.
3.4 Fin ale
3.5 Can 500ml. Ok, ok I know - this is an average UK beer with thirteen on a dozen, but I really like this type of beer. Copper, clear with a thin white head and soft carbonation. Loads of toffee, berries (blackcurrant) amd biscuits. How do the British pack so much flavour an aroma into a 4.3% abv beer? The Americans have something to learn...
2.8 Burk från Systembolaget. Mörkt brunröd med beige skum. Lite kola och örter i doft och smak.
3.4 Lovely amber color, small beige head. Aromas of malt, dried fruit, caramel, brown sugar and nuts. Bitter taste with bread, nuts and wood.

2.6 4,3%. Medium bitter aroma with notes of green pepperfruit. Clear amber with a very long lasting white head. Medium sweet taste with a touch of bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture & soft carbonation.
3.9 Balanced, malt, toffee and hops. Notes of Blackberry and nice low CO2 level
3.0 Can. It pours clear amber with a creamy off white head. The aroma is grassy and fruity with bready and caramel malty notes. Moderate bitter hoppy flavor with some malty sweetness.
2.8 50 cl dåse 4,3%. Bitter middelklasse øl, går godt til grilmad, men ikke noget jeg gider købe igen.
2.8 Can, 4.3%. Clear amber, lasting thick offwhite head. Malty aroma, some hoppy notes. Malty, bitter flavour, metallic notes. Feels a little light despite the slighlty metallic, rough bitterness.
3.0 Can. 4.3%. Best before 31.07.19. Pours a clear, deep golden/copper, with a creamy, off-white/yellowish head. Great lacing. Fruity, malty aroma with a tart creamy/yogurt-y note. Spicy hint in the background. Ashy hint as it warms. Flavour is the same, with a remote hint of cardboard. Mild to medium bitter finish, with fruit, malt, yogurt, and a light spicy note. Slightly dry. Soft palate, bordering stale. Overall okay, but pretty generic. 16.02.19.
1.5 Duft lime malt karamel sødme smag malt sød lidt kiks svag grøn kant en smule kedelig
3.0 Copenhagen 7/1 2018. 50 cl can from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Very green and wholesome can with silhouette of a guy and his dog resting underneath a tree. Pours clear dark amber with small off-white head. Settles as thin layer of foam barely able to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing. Aroma is moderately intense and sweetish. Caramel, toffee. Toasted. Nice - but a shame it is not more intense. Low carbonation. Medium thick, almost flat texture. Flavor is only lightly sweet which is bit surprising when I take the nose into account. Followed by a fairly strong bitterness. Lingers for a while. Nice enough but ordinary very English Bitter. Weak nose but good and strong flavor.
3.0 Bottles. Pours clear copper with a two fingers thick creamy head. Toffe and burnt caramel aroma, taste is way bitter than expected with some herbal notes. Medium bodied, drinkable. Not that bad honestly.

2.9 0.5 l can @ Mijas, purchased in a random Carrefour. Pours deep orange with thin, ehite head. Nose is toffee and caramel. Taste is the same, with hints of alcohol and slight metallic notes. Short bittersweet finish, light body, soft carbonation. Lacks the biscuits-y notes, otherwise not bad.
2.8 Aroma: Subtle cereals. Appearance: Dark ambar color with clear liquid and frothy white head. Taste: Medium bitterness. Palate: Light body with thin texture and soft carbonation.Bitter toasted caramel finish. Overall: Weak features in general but it leaves a good strong bitter memory.
